Very good service from all the staff. My wife seems very content here.
My husband has had the best care I could ask for the staff are great and do everything that needs to be done, he is always clean and tidy and smells nice when I visit and I love to come here and spend time with everyone. Once again, a big thank you to staff and carers. P.S and all the meals are great too.
My mum is made safe and looked after well at Yew Trees. They treat my mum and her family with dignity. I receive brilliant communication from the team on my mum's health, if any issues arise and more recently on up-and-coming activities.
I have found all staff to be courteous and polite. The seniors are very knowledgeable and polite. Any problems the staff respond very quickly.
The home is run to a very high standard and all the staff work to the same level, they are caring and extremely helpful to both residents and visitors.
Staff are very helpful and always provide feedback and are good at keeping up regular communication. My mum is very well looked after and I believe that all the staff care for the patients in their home.
The staff are very nice to me personally and nothing is too much trouble.
I am happy with how she is being looked after. She is quite happy and stable.
I couldn't wish for better care for my mother. The staff are absolutely fantastic and do a brilliant job under extreme difficulty. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the care my mother receives. Again thank you for your care. Please keep up the good work.
Mum has been at Yew Trees for over 7 years now and as a family, we couldn’t be happier with her care. From manager to seniors to care staff to office to housekeepers and kitchen and laundry staff (Sorry if I have missed anyone) they are all caring and kind to all residents and take time to interact with them all - Mum likes to help and can often be seen with a duster or thinking she is helping push the meds trolley round or sitting in the office shuffling papers. Our Mum loves to dance and we often go in to see her and the music is on and she is dancing with them. Mum enjoys all her meals and will often ask for more. If we have any concerns or issues over Mum we can approach the manager or seniors and they always take us seriously and put our minds at rest and act on any issue we may have had.
Mum has been in Yew Trees for over 6 years now. She remains very happy and settled. She is always laughing and smiling. She was 90 last Sunday so we had a small family party in the conservatory. The staff set up the CD player so we could have dancing which Mum loves so we all had a lovely couple of hours. All the staff is friendly but more importantly, are very kind and considerate to Mum.
Mum has been a resident for 3 years. During this time Mum has been cared for very well, and all her needs are met. Staff are caring and considerate they make sure she is comfortable and included in activities. Communication with staff is open and honest, I feel I am listened to and encouraged to take an active part in care reviews. I like that the staff are long-term and consistent not high turnover of staff.
My granddad receives outstanding care across his residence here at Yew Trees, my granddad can become quite distressed at times and the level of reassurance he receives from the staff during these moments is excellent. My granddad has resided at Yew Trees for some time now and I know he has settled in well and all his needs are met daily. From the care staff to the home manager, nothing seems nor has ever been an issue for them to do.
Within two years mum has suffered a broken pelvis due to being pushed, cuts to her leg from a coffee table pushed on her, cuts to her leg from coffee table by a carer sitting on it, cuts to her arm due to a door, assaulted by a male resident and now arm injury due to a resident pushing a table on her. Three of the injuries resulted in admission to hospital or required hospital treatment. This amount of injuries is far from acceptable to us, mum deserves to be cared for and looked after in a safe environment. Staff supervision is inadequate. Some areas are not supervised at all at times. We saw residents going outside in the snow down the ramps in slippers - no grit down, it was icy no staff supervising. The man who assaulted mum is lifting tables and thumping chairs with residents sat on them, we saw a resident giving biscuits to another resident who has a choke risk, when staff came back into the room they had to take them out of her mouth quickly but they had already eaten some.
My wife has now been in Yew Trees for 7 months. She had already been in two homes short term and I was not impressed. I had been her full-time carer for 6 years and I wasn’t keen on this move. However as the months have passed by I realised that Yew Trees was different, in fact, it was special. The decor and available space is excellent. The lounge is big with a kitchenette and dining room attached. The space outside the lounge is large and has 2 alcoves, a garden/patio. Plenty of room for walkabouts. What makes this home so special for me is the quality of all the staff from the manager downwards. My wife is well looked after by the wonderful carers. I try to go 3 times a week and I am also very well looked after. I never thought at our age and condition we would ever dance again, but have, 4 times now. My personal opinion is that Yew Trees is like a big family, not a home I cannot mark food because I don’t see it, so have given it middle mark.
I only have positive things to say in regard to Yew Trees. When it became obvious that my husband needed to go into Care for his own safety as I naturally extremely distressed. The manager of Yew Trees came to see me and meet my husband at home. She managed to put my mind at rest with her extreme kindness and told me that I could contact her at any time for an update. He is now settled in and joins in with the various activities that they put on for the residents. All the staff are very welcoming and approachable towards visitors and have a good rapport with the residents. It was a difficult decision for me, but in hindsight, one that was the correct step to take for my husband. I’m glad I chose Yew Trees and can highly recommend it.
I cannot thank the staff enough - they are amazing, approachable, friendly and caring. Top marks. Extremely happy as my mum is happy, never distressed and looked after very well.
My loved one spent the last eight months of her life in Yew Trees. The staff got her back walking with a frame following a period of being immobile. This home specialises in residents who suffer from dementia, and I always found them to be respectful and treated my loved one with dignity. Most of the time, she didn’t realise she was in a care home, and although sometimes sad, she was usually happy when I visited. I was always phoned if there was an issue, and the staff were always happy to talk to me if I had any questions or concerns. Thank you for your care.
My mother-in-law has been at Yew Trees for over five years, and our family is totally happy with the care she receives. All the staff are polite and friendly and treat her with respect. At the end of a visit, she happily walks away with whichever carer is on duty, and you can see that she totally trusts them all.
It is so difficult to put into words how grateful my family and I are for the superb care our mother has received from the manager and her wonderful team. All the staff are caring, helpful and amazing. Without doubt, we quickly had peace of mind knowing that our mother was safe, looked after and comfortable. The management team are always happy to update us on how Mum is doing and we are always left with the feeling, they genuinely care about her well-being. To everyone involved at Yew Trees a massive thank you.
