View Full Details of HeathsideOur Mum moved into Heathside in January 2022 and her quality of life is 100% improved. Basically, The management and staff at Heathside have saved Mum's life, for which we are truly grateful. We watched Mum deteriorate and be traumatised as she had her independence taken away when she moved into a nursing home! With Heathside's holistic approach, genuine care and treating residents with dignity as well as individuals, we now have our Mum back. Mum has settled so well and enjoys spending time with her new friends in the lounge, participating in activities, eating the delicious home cooked food and is able to get up and walk around herself. Mum is safe and well cared for. Thank you Heathside.
Heathside is a lovely place to live. My 95-year-old mother settled in very quickly. She speaks so highly of the staff, their kindness and the care she receives there. To her it is home from home. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff get to know the residents and treat them as individuals. The home is welcoming and safe. You are always greeted with a smile, whether you live there or are just visiting. I would be happy to move in, myself, if the need arose. So delighted that my Mum is a resident at Heathside.
I find the home a very caring place. All the staff are friendly and will do whatever you ask of them relating to the well being of residents. The rooms are clean and tidy. The social spaces are bright and cheerful.
Fantastic! Having visited numerous care providers and to be honest shocked at what was on offer I got a different feel about Heathside at my initial visit. The management were the only ones who actually took time to do a one-to-one assessment before my Mum eventually moved in therefore no surprise that Mum's room had all the correct adaptations required from the start. The management and staff are open and honest and can't fault the care and attention my mum gets. The local NHS doctor assigned to home is very proactive as are the Heathside staff. After 18 months of very frequent and often unannounced family visits, we have always found Mum to be well looked after. Mum enjoys the entertainment (especially the singers) and interacting with the staff and residents and our family have peace of mind Mum is safe and well looked after.
Outstanding facility. All the staff care. They have a holistic and individual approach to all the service user's care. Calm and safe environment. Outstanding food choices and activities.
I have found the residential home to be warm and inviting. I have great respect for all the staff who do a wonderful job of caring for people with various needs. I feel my mother gets the best care and I never worry as I know she is in a safe and secure home.
Heathside is very well run residential home. Mum is well looked after and she is safe and secure. This gives all the family great peace of mind.
All staff are caring, dedicated and treat residents with dignity and compassion. This care home has a homely feel to it. A clean environment with staff that clearly work as a team. I would highly recommend Heathside to anyone looking for a care home.
My father has been resident for three and a half years. He is very happy and contented, well looked after with all his personal hygiene. When he is unwell the doctor is called when necessary.
What I appreciate above all is that the staff seem to genuinely care about the residents and somehow, have time for them. It creates a very warm atmosphere. In addition, Heathside is clean and comfortable and the food appears to be much appreciated by the residents.
I am so pleased having chosen Heathside for my mother's care home. The home is always clean and warm and the residents are treated with kindness and respect by the staff. They have many activities and trips organised. Highly recommend Heathside.
Management and staff are approachable, friendly, caring and respectful towards residents and their families. Clean and tidy internally and there have been updates and improvements recently, all beneficial to residents and their care. This is a very "Homely" care home.
Heathside is a well managed and caring home. The staff turnover appears low and the same people have been there a long time.
Due to my incapacity, my husband had to spend 6 weeks in care. The staff at Heathside were very helpful and took very good care of my husband, making sure he was well cared for and all his needs met.
Mum, who has dementia, went into Heathside for 3 weeks respite whilst I had a holiday and she has been there ever since. She has settled into all aspects of life there. The staff are wonderful in their attention to every resident. Mum likes the food and is always clean and happy. I count myself extremely lucky to have found a home for mum with first class staff, food, cleanliness and facilities.
My father has resided at Heathside since May 2016 and I am very impressed with the service received. I receive very prompt communication if my father is ill or has had a fall and the staff follow all guidelines. They always enlist the help of the appropriate health care professionals. The staff treat him with dignity at all times and are most courteous and open with family members. Food and drink are readily available and of an excellent standard.
A bit of a mixed bag really, some of the staff are lovely but then again there is a lot of staff turnover at junior levels. There is generally a willingness to help, but sometimes it can take quite a while for things to happen. From what my mother tells me the food and drinks offering is adequate but often no more than that although again a new chef can make a short term difference. Having noted the above I have no experience of other homes by which to compare.
I am very happy with this care home. The staff are very good. The place is clean and does not smell like some care homes my brother has been in. On the whole a very nice place.
The staff are well informed, hardworking and incredibly patient. The home is clean and tidy and a welcoming place. My mother is very settled.
Mum is so much better since she moved to Heathside and we have peace of mind knowing she is being well looked after. The staff all help to create a lovely atmosphere and are willing to go the extra mile caring for the residents, keeping the family informed and making us feel welcome when we visit.
