Covid made a real mess of me physically and mentally. I was really lucky to end up here. And it's taken me three years to recover. I am still a work in progress. These wonderful saintly women refused to give up on me. I never knew such amazing people existed. God bless everyone who runs this place is what I say!
My mum was really despersate before moving to Greencares, in and out of hospital, since she has gone here we have seen an amazing turnaround. The staff are amazing, everything about Greenacres is first-class.
Mum has spent 21 happy months at Greenacres. She sadly passed away at the age of 93. She was dealt with with the highest dignity and respect, nothing was to much trouble. Mum enjoyed the activities and the singalong. She made many special friends, both of residents and carers.
Mum had a respite stay for one week whilst my husband and I went away. The staff welcomed her and made her stay relaxing. Although Mum has got some incapacity she remembers most of the stay at the care home, with staff and residents with fond memories. We can't thank the staff enough, we will be looking to stay for further respite at the care home.
Greenacres is such a lovely atmosphere and always feels like a very happy place to be. The staff are fantastic and the management goes beyond to help in any way they can. My aunty says she wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
As per usual, all staff are excellent in every way. I have on occasion stayed for a meal, these have been of very good quality with generous proportions. From handymen and entertainers, through to general staff and managers, I would give them all top marks.
I am very impressed with the care my mum received whilst in respite at Greenacres Care Home. The staff and managers were very helpful and gave regular updates on my mum. The home is very clean and the bedrooms are in excellent condition. The home has activities each day and my mum will now be attending for daycare.
Very approachable when looking for respite care for Mum and Dad. Very supportive and helpful. Quick to act and professional when assisting needs pre-admission. Helped with liaising with other health and care providers. Supported Mum and Dad physically, socially and emotionally through a very difficult time. Always available, responsive and supported me well too. Open, honest and trustworthy care staff and management. Warm and welcoming setting. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for long-term residential care, respite and day care for themselves or a family member.
Since our auntie has been in the home, our family have noticed how caring, kind and supportive the staff are.
Greenacres is a lovely home. All the staff from nurses, carers, cleaners and kitchen staff go above and beyond in their care for the residents. It has a lovely feel as soon as you walk in. Our dad is looked after so well in every way. Greenacres is a brilliant care home, we can't fault it at all. Five-star care home. Well done.
My mother has been residing at Greenacres Care Home for almost a year. Our family are all very happy with her care. She is happy to be at Greenacres and settled straight away. Staff are brilliant and very friendly.
Greenacres Care Home is set in lovely grounds. Staff are all amazing, nothing is too much trouble. I feel happy knowing that my mum is in a safe environment and being well cared for.
My mum recently stayed here for a period of respite care. Everyone was so welcoming and very quickly helped to settle Mum in. Every single member of staff is so friendly, cheerful, kind and caring - nothing was too much trouble for them and they always had time to chat whenever we phoned or visited. It really helped us knowing that Mum was happy and being so well cared for. Thank you for everything.
Fantastic job in difficult times.
First visit to the home for my mother due to Covid restrictions. Happy with what I observed during my visits, which lasted half an hour. Found staff to be very helpful and friendly. Improvement in my mother's condition since entering the home.
The staff are very friendly and nice to talk to. They are looking after my dad, taking good care of him.
My experience has always been positive when visiting mum or if I ring to see how mum is. They always have time to talk and answer any queries.
I can't thank all the staff at the home enough, for how well they look after my nan. Having family move into a care setting is scary and upsetting, but my nan is always happy and well looked after. Thank you so much.
This was my mums first time for respite in a care home and she was a little apprehensive. We didn't know what to expect as there is a lot of bad press about care homes generally. However, I have been pleasantly surprised. Greenacres was superb. All the staff, including management, carers, cooks and cleaners couldn't have been more helpful and they made my mums stay as happy as possible. I can't thank them enough - they gave me peace of mind and a much-needed rest. I will not hesitate to use Greenacres again for mums respite care.
Staff are always approachable and make good efforts to address any concerns queries/requests. They are pro-active in contacting outside agencies as need arises. Impressed with staff when mum was returned to home from A&E in night attire, insisted that she should be returned to her room for transfer to a home wheelchair by stand hoist out of respect for dignity. Staff deal with residents in a patient manner and endeavour to raise a smile, as appropriate.
