An amazing facility that feels like a home from home for myself and my mum. After my reluctance to have my mum in care after a bad experience, I can honestly say that the manager and her team have been amazing and have given my mum a better life and me a more stress-free life. I love coming to visit every day and seeing her interacting with other residents too. A big shout out to another staff member, she is amazing to both my mum and me, love her. Thanks.
When visiting or telephoning the care home, the staff are always pleasant and helpful. Whenever needing to discuss issues with management, I have found them to be attentive and act readily to deal with issues. The deputy manager has a very understanding, considerate manner and makes people feel at ease and listened to. The new manager is very understanding and helpful and someone who acts to deal with situations in a calm and considerate manner.
Each time I enter Lyndhurst I am met with smiles and genuine friendliness. It has been a pleasure to meet and chat with everyone on the staff. They have all contributed to making this a real home for my brother. Thank you.
My parents are very frail and have a number of different needs but all those needs are attended to with great care and support. The staff are keen and do a great job with a smile and concern for their individual needs. My parents feel safe and valued.
The home is fantastic and has fantastic staff. Nothing too much trouble for residents. Plenty of weekly activities for residents and trips out all through the year. Health care is excellent, all visitors are welcome where possible. All in all, would recommend this home. Writing this review as my loved one has recently passed away.
The last six months have been difficult for my mother after leaving her own home after 50 years. We were told by the care home staff that it would take weeks for her to settle in. I have found that she is slowly adapting to her new life. She is only around the corner from me and I think this helps. I find the staff friendly and caring. The most important thing for me is I feel she is safe.
Very friendly, staff always approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Exceptional care is given by all staff members. The home is clean and very welcoming. After a couple of respite sessions, mum was happy to go full-time as a resident. I can see she's cared for and staff are sympathetic towards her when she is confused or frustrated. Mum's happy so we are happy. Well done to the team. Keep smiling and doing what you're doing.
All the staff at Lyndhurst are friendly and approachable, any queries I just speak to someone (nothing is too much trouble). Over the past 'mad' 12 months, Mum (and all other residents) have been looked after, cared for and entertained. We (family) have been kept up to date with everything. Been very grateful for what they have done and for all their help. Thank you.
Communication regarding Mum has been second to none. Whenever there is a minor issue, slight illness or any other matter this has been communicated immediately. And for the majority of 2020, we were not able to make actual visits, due to COVID and diarrhoea and vomiting outbreak. All through this and from our previous experience interaction with staff has been nothing but excellent. The staff are brilliant.
My mother has been in this care home for over 4 years and she is really happy with the care she receives.
The staff here are very friendly and patient with all the residents.
My mother was extremely happy during her 6-week stay. She enjoyed the food and activities. The staff were lovely with her. Help provided with bathing etc. Adequate room but could do with some updating in places.
I live abroad and visit Lyndhurst annually in March. I phone my mother on Sunday evenings and the staff are always very professional, updating me on my mother's condition and taking the phone to my mother so I can try and talk to her. The manager, staff, pharmacist and nurse practitioner that I see are always very helpful in keeping me up to date with recent events concerning my mother. The manager and deputy manager usually email me if there are any urgent concerns. The manager gave me an update today re my mum. The staff are very caring when dealing with my mother. I feel very reassured that my mother is receiving such good care.
My Great Aunt received excellent care throughout her stay. From assessment to her recent passing the care and support were excellent from all the staff. Attention to detail for all her needs was second to none. The quality of the staff the cleanliness of the home and sheer hard work by all. The staff was formidable especially at the end of her life, the care at this time was gratifying. Grateful thanks to all.
My Mother is well settled and appreciates the care she receives.
I have been visiting for 3 years to see a relative also I have stayed there three times for 5-6 nights so that my daughter and sister in law can have a few days away. They always manage to give me a room if at all possible. The staff from the top down to the domestics are brilliant as you know old people can be a bit awkward. I think its frustration more than anything. I am 91 and 3/4 and I am one of the lucky ones, I can help myself. The lift is a bonus as I can't manage the stairs. The food I enjoy as I can eat it without complaints.
Visiting the care home 2-3 times a week. I find everything quite satisfactory overall. The staff are very dedicated, hard working and friendly and respond quickly to any queries or problems I have concerning my brother. It is clean and warm but does need some refurbishment to spruce it up. Particularly the conservatory and outside frontage. Sometimes the lunchtime menu leaves a lot to be desired and the portions overall are small.
The home always has the best interests of my mother as it's priority in the event o her becoming distressed. They do their best to reassure and comfort her, keeping me informed and updated. I have no complaints or issues with the service they provide I would recommend them to potential clients.
Our experience of Lyndhurst and the staff is nothing but positive. The care mum gets is second to none. Not the most patient of people, mum can be very demanding. No matter what time of day or night we call the home is always welcoming and communication is a major part of their care and whenever. Recently, in January, when the home was closed to visitors due to flu and D and V, we were kept fully informed. In addition, when mum has required professional intervention, her requirements have always been actioned promptly. Basically, we have no issues or concerns about the support, treatment and care mum receives from Lyndhurst. Nothing but excellent.
Very professional staff, very clean and inviting environment. Management very helpful and informative. Food and entertainment varied and nice.
