View Full Details of Norley Hall Care HomeWhen mom was admitted to Norley following a fall causing a broken hip, she was welcomed far more than her previous home. She was happier and looked after with dignity and care. Her food Was well cooked and presented and the entertainment was fabulous. All special days and occasions were celebrated. When Mum passed I became a volunteer to pay back the love and respect given to her.

There are wonderful enrichment opportunities daily.
My mum has been at Norley Hall Care Home since the start of the year and we are really pleased with the way she has settled in, considering the nature of her difficulties. From the very start when the manager came to visit her we felt reassured that she would be in good hands. All the staff show care and understanding for individual needs. It is a happy place and we are always made to feel welcome. We are encouraged to share any little questions or concerns, and feel like we are always listened to.
My Mum has been a resident in Norley Hall since February 2023. I am so grateful for the care and support she gets. The management and staff are wonderful and look after her so well she enjoys the food and the activities and entertainment provided. I visit frequently and its such a pleasure to see her so settled and happy which gives me great peace of mind. Thank you Team Norley.
My Mum has been a resident at Norley Hall Care Home since June 2024, and from the very beginning, she was welcomed into a caring and supportive community. The level of one-to-one care and attention she has received is truly second to none. There is always a variety of entertainment and social activities on offer, keeping her engaged and mentally stimulated. This has made such a difference to her overall well-being. The quality of food is also excellent, with a varied menu that has undoubtedly contributed to her improvement. The staff are always happy, friendly, and incredibly helpful - nothing is ever too much trouble. In fact, my mum has often said she wishes she had moved here years ago, as she wouldn't choose to live anywhere else. I am eternally grateful to all the staff for the kindness, and support they continue to provide. Their dedication brings immense peace of mind, knowing my Mum is in the best possible hands. Thank you, Norley Hall team, for everything you do!
I'm really please with the service and care that my mum is receiving from the team at Norley. There's lots going on and when I've visited everybody is kind and helpful. Every time I phone up the phone is answered promptly and any issues that may crop up are quickly resolved.
My mother is happy and settled in the Care Home. She is safe and her care needs are met. The staff are welcoming to myself and my Husband and they seem to genuinely care about the residents in their charge. The activity schedule is robust and there always seem to be something going on to keep the residents stimulated. We are thankful for the care provided and the Norley Hall team. Our criticism would be the price point of the 'top up' fees. It hangs over our heads like a big black cloud, knowing it is subject to review and yearly rises. This has a great impact on us as we have 2 parents residing there.
Every single carer at Norley Hall Care Home are absolutely amazing. They all do an incredible job looking after our loved ones. Communication from management (including the deputy), however has been appalling. At a time when your loved one needs to belong, with care and support of those they trust, for them to be rejected without even a moments consultation with family is unforgivable.
I have spoken with various members of management and staff and find them all very helpful, especially taking time to listen when I have been stressed and lately filling in forms etc. Big thank you to them all.
My brother has been a resident for the last 6 months and in this time he has been very well cared for. From management to staff I couldn't ask for anything more. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff whilst looking after him. Norley Hall has given me the chance to be a sister to my brother and not his carer. Thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart for caring for my brother. I can't thank you enough.
We really appreciated the welcoming environment, in particular, the professional staff were supportive, capable, confident and worked with both residents and relatives. They gave stimulating, reassuring and respect which was patient-centred. They have helped with dressing, washing and hygiene issues/personal needs. Tremendous responses to the needs of all around. Food is scrumptious and ample. The activities are age-appropriate, daily, positive social interactions. I fully endorse the care home!
The best care home that I visited in Wigan. It is absolutely spotless. The staff are very caring, and there is lots of interaction and encouragement given to my mother-in-law. She had settled in well in the last 5-months. It’s a home-from-home.
Very pleased with the service, facilities and staff. The home itself was very clean and well maintained with good visitor facilities and lots of activities for the residents. Mother was in for a respite break and enjoyed her stay and we all found the staff friendly and helpful.
Mum has been in Norley Hall since December 2022. She has settled in really well. The staff are lovely and helpful and make me feel really welcome when I visit which is most days. The new activity lady is lovely and keeps the residents active. She's not too keen on the food, it's hit and miss. I am really happy with the care she's receiving and changing doctors has been really good as well. Overall I am really happy with Norley Hall.
We called to ask if our Mum could be ready to be picked up to be taken to a family party, when we picked her up the staff had given mum a shower, put her in some nice clothes and even did her hair, we always feel that our mum is in a kind and caring environment that really puts our mind at rest. Thank you Norley Hall staff you're all very appreciated.
Since they had to stay in their rooms for a few days owing to an outbreak of respiratory infections this has really upset my mum. She has found it difficult to settle in an evening and has at times been very confused. The carers have been excellent in dealing with her and calming her down. The manager has also spoken to me and put my mind at ease. Mum has enjoyed all the activities they have had and enjoys taking part.
My dad has been at Norley Hall Care Home since March 2020 after the sad death of his wife of 64 years, the care from all staff has been wonderful, caring and dignified, giving myself and my siblings peace of mind, I would like to thank all staff involved for the marvellous job and to management for running a great establishment a credit to you all.
I would like to thank all staff that helped to make a great day for my mother on Saturday 21st January on her 95th Birthday, also the ukulele band for a fantastic session playing songs to all residents. All staff helped us arranging chairs for the band members, that's why we always feel at home here nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they always go that extra mile to help. Thank you from my family.
Mum has been unwell recently and staff have gone above and beyond with making sure she is comfortable and taking the correct medication. Staff communicate with us all and are always pleasant to talk to if there are any concerns. Lovely home.
After having an operation myself I was unable to visit mum. The carers knew this and took even greater care to make sure she was OK. They helped her to contact me on her mobile phone which she often struggles with. Mum often gets a little confused in the early evenings but they are very good at calming her down. When my husband and daughter took her back to Norley Hall on Christmas day mum said it is home from home.
