I cannot praise Thorley House Residential Care Home enough for the exceptional level of care and attention my mum and dad have received since September 2024. All the team/staff are truly amazing-kind, patient and incredibly dedicated. It's clear they genuinely care about the residents and go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels safe, comfortable and valued. The quality of care is outstanding. From tailored support for Mum and Dad's individual needs, everything is handled with professionalism and compassion. It's so reassuring to know that my parents are in such capable hands. What really stands out is the emphasis on wellbeing. The activities, the social interactions and the attention to mental and emotional health are remarkable. The home and bedrooms are spotless and tidy. The team does such a fantastic job creating a warm, family-like environment. My parents are not just being cared for-they are thriving. I'm so grateful for everything they do for my family.

My partner's mother enjoyed a very well-attended 88th birthday party. An act had been booked but let us down at the last minute...up stood a particular staff member who runs the Karaoke and is the resident handyman. What a brilliant job he did, along with the staff making it a memorable occasion for all. Your staff are a credit to you. Well done to all involved.

My wonderful mum is a resident, she has blossomed and come back to life. The care is really outstanding and the home deserves recognition for that. The staff all really care. Since Mum has been a resident she has been well looked after. The staff went over and above on the 26th of June which was Mum's birthday. The booked singer cancelled 40 minutes before arrival. The manager and her team rallied around and the painter sang. It was a real team effort to make Mum's day wonderful. Thank you all.

This is an end-of-life review. Mum was treated with dignity and compassion. Staff obviously care. Their treatment of me was above anything I expected. I stayed with Mum for the last eight days of her life. When I had to leave her someone stayed with her. I was given meals, the quality of which was excellent. Everything was of an excellent standard.

When visiting Thorley House on a fortnightly basis with our PAT dog all the residents we meet are well looked after. The premises are spotless and the staff are kind and caring. Lots of activities are organised by their activity coordinator.

The care and respect given to my mum are amazing. She is happy and content, she has a good rapport with the staff. We as a family are content and settled as my mum is well cared for.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Thorley House for just over a year. We can not thank the Manager and the staff enough for the way they treat mum, she is always well dressed, clean and smiling when we visit, she has made a good group of friends and they are always chatting or doing activities when we arrive. I think her quality of life has greatly improved since moving to Thorley House she loves her food and has put well-needed weight on since arriving. I would not hesitate to recommend Thorley House to anyone who is thinking of respite or long-term care for themselves or a family member.

My dad went into Thorley House as he wasn’t in the best of health or condition, since being in there his recovery and appearance is there to see. The staff/management and the cleaners, are all very very pleasant and welcoming when you visit. It is clean and fresh throughout. Dad loves it in there, you can see how much patience all the staff have with the people that reside there. Always have a smile and kind words. The help they have given to Dad is exceptional and I can only thank them for a wonderful and excellent job they do caring for all.

My dad has lived at Thorley House since November 2008, so that in itself shows the care he receives. My dad prefers his own company, and this is respected by all staff; they always let him know what's happening within the home so he can participate should he choose to. Quite a few members of staff are still there from when he first went to live at Thorley, again a testament to the long-standing members of the staff team. The past few years have been a difficult time for residents and relatives; I thank everyone for the care they delivered then and continue to deliver. The home is always clean, thanks to the domestic team. The cooks do their utmost to cater for different tastes and offer a variety of meals. Dad is more of a night owl, and this is respected by the night staff team. If he wants something to eat, drink or just chat; they do this for him. Management is approachable and will address any concerns you may have, and nothing is too much trouble for anyone and often go above and beyond.

Thorley House care home is a lovely place to stay in and visit. Every care is taken to make sure the residents are well and truly looked after and visitors also. The staff are exceptional; it's like a home from home. The entertainment is second to none also and has lots of variety. I would highly recommend Thorley House to anyone who is looking for a safe and friendly place for their relative.

My mum is in Thorley House, and I can't praise the staff high enough who care for my mum. She is well looked after and cared for. The home is well-kept and clean, and the food is freshly cooked every day. The staff are in regular contact if they need anything for Mum or any medical treatment. I would highly recommend Thorley House to care for your loved one.

My mother has been a resident at Thorley House now for a number of years. She has always been shown the utmost kindness and given second to none care and support. I have great respect for all the staff in the everyday care for my mother. I would not hesitate to recommend Thorley House to anyone. Furthermore, my mother is very happy there and that is a great comfort to me and all her family.

My mum stayed at Thorley House for two weeks of respite care. Her overall experience was a positive one, and she spoke extremely highly of all the staff who attended to her everyday needs. Her problems with low vision and poor mobility were catered for, and she was always treated with dignity and respect. I would have no hesitation in my mum staying at Thorley House as and when needed in the future.

Since Dad moved in late last summer, he has been in a better frame of mind. He was very apprehensive in making the decision to move into a home but says he made the right decision. It has been difficult with all the lockdowns and Covid but hopefully, it is starting to improve so we can see him more often. It is a wonderful place and the staff are amazing. Thank you.

My brother has been at Thorley House since 2018. They have looked after him very well, and the staff and management are great, who I have got to know. They do a brilliant job, especially over the Covid outbreak, when I know they had staff shortages and lost some residents - very sad. A big thank you to the manager and the staff.

Although I have submitted this review in regards to June 2021 it is also an ongoing compliment. The staff here are fantastic with the residents and nothing seems too much trouble for them. They are very supportive with families and their loved ones. They do their utmost to keep the residents occupied and regularly post reassuring proof of this on social media (consent gained beforehand). This has been very welcomed during recent times. A great big thank you to the manager and her staff. You’re all doing a great job!

Nothing is too much for all the carers and all of the office staff, my mother-in-law was a resident in the home a few years ago. She was looked after so well, never caught any harm there. Now it is my mother who is in the care home at the moment and my wife and myself are so pleased with the care that she and all the clients are getting.

My wonderful mum is a resident, she has blossomed and come back to life. The care is really outstanding and the home deserves recognition for that. The staff all really care. This is an end-of-life review. Mum was treated with dignity and compassion. Staff obviously care. Their treatment of me was above anything I expected. I stayed with Mum for the last eight days of her life. When I had to leave her someone stayed with her. I was given meals, the quality of which was excellent. Everything was of an excellent standard.

Nothing is too much for all the carers and all of the office staff, my mother-in-law was a resident in the home a few years ago. She was looked after so well, never caught any harm there. Now it is my mother who is in the care home at the moment and my wife and myself are so pleased with the care that she and all the clients are getting.
