View Full Details of Fazakerley House Care HomeMy mum was a resident at Fazakerley House for the last four months of her life and thoroughly enjoyed her time here. The staff are just wonderful. I really can't recommend the care home enough. The manager is fabulous. The environment is definitely a home away from home. Cheerful and friendly. I know I keep saying this, but I can't thank you all enough for mum's care.
Fazakerley House has been a change of living for my mum aged 88/89. She suffers for Alzheimer/Dementia. She has settled in so well and me/wife can see 100% improvement in herself. She seems so content in herself were she is. All the staff keep it bright upbeat. Mum likes the food in general we/all are very pleased with Fazakerley House. Such a calm atmosphere for all residents.
My dad passed away recently in the local hospital, age 92. Up until then he had resided at Fazakerly House. I cannot praise them all highly enough. The girls who cared for him were absolutely wonderful, they could not do enough for him. He was much loved by the staff there. He had a lovely ensuite room, he called it his holiday apartment. He was always warm and comfortable. If he needed access to a GP or nurse they were always quick to visit him. My brother, sister and myself are so grateful to the wonderful team and just wanted to thank them so much for the excellent care they showed my dad. Also a special mention to the cleaners, who kept Fazakerley house so clean. Never were there any unpleasant smells that sometime occur in homes. Finally to the team who were simply marvellous and I cannot thank them enough
My mother has been a resident at Fazakerley House Care Home, Prescot for approximately six months. She is 94 years old and lost her husband of 71 years in February 2024. As a family we were reluctant to made the move to a residential home, however it has proved to be such a positive experience for us all. Mum's mental state has improved considerably due to the love and care from all the staff.
My father moved in to Fazakerley House October 2023. As a family we looked at several care homes before deciding on Fazakerley house. We feel dad received the best care and that we had made the best decision. Unfortunately dad passed away on 3rd of January 2025. The support and care my dad and my family received was second to none. Although dad had dementia he felt at home and had a good relationship with all the staff. We would have no hesitation in recommending Fazakerley house to anyone. We can not thank the staff enough especially during his last days.
My mum moved here in the middle of September. I've never seen her more relaxed and at home for a long time. The staff have made this transition for her so smooth. Everything about Fazakerley House is outstanding- staff, cleanliness and safe for residents. They all go above and beyond to help in any way. The most important thing is my mum is happy to call it home!
My mother has been a resident for 2 years now and her care is excellent. All the staff are well informed of her condition and needs, and although those needs have changed recently, the staff have adapted really well. Mum is content and well looked after.
My dad was a resident at Fazakerley House for approximately 6 months this year. During that time his physical and mental health greatly improved. This was due to the excellent care that he received from the wonderful staff at the home. This is a well-managed home full of dedicated, caring staff who create a homely atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The home is clean and tidy with a lovely quiet lounge for visits. There is a full activities programme for the residents. Visiting times are flexible but meal times are rightly protected. The administration process is very efficient. Sadly my dad passed away after a very short illness but I am pleased that he spent the last few months of his life in the care of the manager and her team. I thank all of them and would recommend this home to anyone looking to place a family member into care.
I cannot put into words how excellent this home is. The care they provide to my Nan is incredible. On every visit we are met with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff all have such a caring nature. Nothing is too much trouble. From the first day of my nan becoming a resident, the staff have supported her. The Home Manager is both professional and helpful. And also has the resident's needs at the centre of everything she does. Lots of activities and fundraising and plenty of days out. I would recommend this home to anybody.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The home itself is clean and well-presented (modern). It's very reassuring knowing mum is safe and well looked after.
My mum has been a resident of this home for a couple of months now. She is very happy with everything and feels comfortable and cared for. The staff are very helpful and caring and treat my mum and us, very well when we visit. It is very difficult when you have to send your parent to a care home and some are not too pleasant. This care home has been the best choice have have made. We couldn't ask for more only that our mum is happy and she tells us she is. So were are very happy with the Fazakerley House.
My mum was recently placed in Fazakerley House after a 10-week stay in hospital. I have been so pleased with how quickly she has settled in, it is a home from home. The staff are all lovely and very approachable and nothing is too much trouble. The manager is professional and knows all the residents so well and lovely to see her with them. The home offered regular activities and outings which my mum joins in and has seen her so much brighter and engaging again. I would recommend this home.
My grandad has come on leaps and bounds since moving to this care home. All the carers take such good care of him, he’s always clean and well presented, his room is always tidy. On today’s visit I saw a massive improvement in grandad’s cognitive skills, he can now hold a conversation and his mobility has improved so much. I can only put it down to how well he’s being looked after. He was never a big eater but is now eating 3 good meals a day and says the food is lovely. I’m really happy with his care here and would recommend this home to anybody looking for somewhere for their loved ones.
This is a wonderful care home for your loved ones. My dad moved in a couple of months ago from hospital and the turnaround I have seen in him is fabulous. All the staff are wonderful and take great care of him. He tells me the food is great and he eats everything they give him. The home is spotlessly clean and very well maintained and always smells fresh and clean. The lounges are bright and cheerful and frequently decorated for different events. The bedrooms are well looked after and bright and airy and my dad alway looks clean, smart and shaved when I visit. He has settled here very well and as his family, we are more than satisfied with everything about this home.
My aunt stayed in the nursing home for seven weeks due to a broken leg and torn ligaments on the other leg. She wasn't able to put her feet down so was confined to her room. The care she received was good, the staff were all very friendly and helped make her time with them as pleasant as possible. Whenever I visited I found the staff and management very good.
Overall experience, excellent. Both residents and staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. The only negative side was limited staff, resulting in some issues of care whilst being of high standard but sometimes staff were not able to respond as quickly as was needed. Issues causing distress, 1) waiting too long for commode assistance and 2) woken at 7 am for non-urgent medication and then waiting until breakfast at 10:30 am for a drink (i.e. tea or coffee).
The care home has a lovely, friendly feeling. All the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. My mum came on respite with a view to long-term but her mobility and social awareness have improved immensely, all thanks to the staff.
Went to see a friend, shown to the big room, there was a singer on. Everyone was enjoying themself, including the staff (dancing) they were having a great time., everyone was happy. Good staff. Marks 100/100. Keep up the good work.
This place is amazing and highly recommended! All staff and management have all gone out of their way to welcome and make my mother's stay a comfortable one. She’s been in 4 times on respite this year and my mother has enjoyed her stay every time. On behalf of my mother. Many thanks.
After 10 weeks in hospital, my father-in-law came to Fazakerley House Care Home for respite. My first impression was a warm welcome from all team members in every area. Very homely feel, and as my father-in-law put it, not having to wait when he needed any assistance. Staff fully obliging, caring, happy and clearly love what they do. We as a family feel so reassured as we know it can be quite daunting and scary for our loved ones. This place is incredible along with all the amazing staff.
