View Full Details of Nazareth House - CrosbyMy mum moved in a month ago and settled immediately, far quicker than I could have hoped for. Same staff on each floor so always seeing familiar face, which is needed for a dementia sufferer, staff are lovely, which is the most important thing.
Since my dad became a resident in August 2024 I have found the staff always available to answer any questions I have. They are caring and treat the residents with dignity. Each staff member is aware of each individual resident. The activities that were put on over the Christmas period were excellent with a good variety of entertainment. It was brilliant for me to be part of the activities with my dad. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff to address my queries. They are an amazing team.
The staff appear to be caring and helpful especially with my father-in-law who is always losing his hearing aids. Overall I think the staff do a wonderful job.
Mum has been living at Nazareth House since July last year. She's never been much of a social butterfly, instead taking her time to feel comfortable with people before opening up and feeling settled, but she settled in here really quickly (certainly quicker than I'd expected) and that's got a lot to do with the staff and their welcoming manner. Mum often has a laugh and a joke with members of the staff, which is lovely to see. I'm always welcomed by name when I visit too, which is a lovely touch especially as there must be so many names to remember! The activities are really inclusive and they encourage residents to get involved (families are invited to events too), but accept when they'd sooner quiet time, and the food always smells so nice! The rooms are a decent size, with enough room for an electric chair, and to get sufficient furniture in too. It's put my mind at rest knowing Mum is living somewhere that is safe and secure, and that she has support at hand whenever she needs it.
My mum has lived here since July after a hard decision to find her additional help. She found it hard to settle at first but the staff were amazing. They knew exactly what to do to settle her and over time they have even started to get her interested in some activities which was one of the reasons we chose this home. She is able to chat freely with the staff who all display care from the handyman right through to the management. Mum loves the variety of different foods. Being in a wheelchair there is plenty of space for her to move around, not feeling too restricted. We have had no problems in the months she has been there and it is such a relief to know she is safe and happy and well looked after.
All of the members of staff are lovely and are always approachable and nothing is too much for them. My Mum is happy there, I am so happy she is there, she loves the food and the activities there are available.
My dad lived at Nazareth House - Crosby before his death there last February. My mum resides there and has done since January 2024. My mum says there is nowhere else she wants to be. The staff are so caring. They treat the residents with care, respect, compassion and kindness. They are very professional and work extremely hard. I visit my mum on various days at various times and I have never encountered any problems or issues. The staff provide a calm, clean, warm, safe and friendly environment. They know the residents and are attentive to their needs. The peace of mind this given to us, as family, is priceless and we are so grateful for all they do.
Since Dementia has overwhelmed my father he has settled in wonderfully well, it is nice to know he is warm, safe and receiving lot of stimulation in this unique environment which is Nazareth House. I couldn't have chosen a better place for my dad, 10 out of 10.
Our family cannot praise Nazareth House (Crosby) highly enough for the care and attention my dad received during the 4 years he lived there. This included the "Covid years" when homes were locked down, and care staff were working under extremely pressurised conditions. Their professionalism and dedication were amazing. Dad's needs changed during his stay. The care staff accommodated, and anticipated, these changes (eg moving him to a larger room when it became free to ensure any additional equipment could be housed). All the staff contribute to the lovely atmosphere including : - the administrators and receptionists - the housekeeping staff, popping in and chatting - the dining room staff are always cheerful, offering us refreshments etc. The support to Dad and ourselves was exceptional. When Dad was receiving palliative end-of-life care it was both reassuring to him and ourselves, that he was able to pass in "his home" rather than hospital. We're immensely grateful and can't thank them enough.
Very grateful to the staff at Nazareth House who cared for my Mum before she passed away. I'm especially grateful for the care and affection shown towards her and that she was so well looked after. Lovely atmosphere in the home and nice rooms and grounds. The staff throughout are wonderful.
Nazareth House is staffed by extremely friendly, caring and helpful staff. My brother has been in care for most of his 95 years, and this is the best and most comfortable residence he has been in. I cannot think of any situation that would be better for him.
My brother has been very happy since he went into the care of all the lovely staff in Nazareth House-Crosby. My sister and I have absolutely no complaints and bless the day our brother was granted a place where he is comfortable and safe. It is a very warm and happy environment and always welcoming.
Mum was so well cared for during her time at Nazareth House. The staff looking after he were exceptional and consistent. Cannot fault them! As her family, we were always greeted with a smile and friendly face when we visited. The rooms are certainly dated and need some refurbishment. A great selection of activities, particularly when Mum was more able, would have been beneficial.
Care staff were consistently excellent. Mum was well looked after. We would have liked there to have been activities and maybe outings, particularly when she first moved in and was more able and mobile. But the carers can't be criticised. Rooms definitely need a refurbishment, very shabby!
My father-in-law and mother-in-law are being looked after by the absolutely amazing team at Nazareth House Care Home. We live in Australia so we have only been able to visit a few times over the last year but we have been continually kept updated if there have been any health or well-being issues. The warmth and welcome we receive every time we visit and leave Nazareth House is heartwarming. The team are absolutely amazing. I would love to name everyone but I would not like to miss a name because it would be wrong for me to do so. Everyone has gone out of their way to support my in-laws and we cannot thank them enough. Words cannot describe how well my in-laws are looked after but 'incredible and inspiring' might be a start. This is a truly amazing care home. All of the team are marvellous, they are well-managed, professional, friendly, supportive, dedicated and, importantly, they sincerely care about those they look after. God bless you all and please accept our warmest thanks.
My mother received first-class attention from all members of staff. The staff's attention at all times was caring and respectful. The care given was if the carer was dealing with a family member or friend and couldn't be kinder. All the staff should be proud of themselves. We as a family are most grateful. Thank you.
The staff are kindness itself. Nothing is too much trouble.
My father was admitted to Nazareth House as a step-down bed from hospital, waiting for a care plan. At this time he used to sit in a chair and sleep, hardly speaking to his family. This caused us massive upset. As the staff got to know him and his needs, I started to see a massive recovery in my father's social skills and general happiness. I put this down wholly to the brilliant personal care given by every carer employed with my dad. I cannot praise the staff any more - they are the best and I am so thankful.
We would like to say a massive thanks to all the staff at Nazareth House for their brilliant work with my mum (who passed away 31-08-22) and dad (who still resides at Nazareth House). We cannot thank them enough for their care and understanding which shines through in their approach to, at times, a challenging environment. They do this without complaint and seem to thrive on providing the best care possible to a whole host of different symptoms. Thank you to the whole team who do a brilliant job. Thanks to you all you are amazing!
We are so grateful to the staff at Nazareth House for the fabulous care given to my nan. The last five months of my nan's life were comfortable and happy, and it has been a comfort to us as a family to see how loved she was by the staff and how well cared for she was. The staff have been so kind and have also looked after us as a family. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the staff know each resident so well. Thank you to each member of staff; we will always be grateful.
