View Full Details of Heyberry HouseI am pleased with the care that my mum has received at Heyberry House. She has settled well, seems content and has made friends. The staff are friendly and attentive. The home always seems to have a pleasant atmosphere when I visit. Her room and the communal areas are always kept clean.
In my working life, I on occasion was in most of the care homes in the area and I would like to say that Heyberry House is the most outstanding. The staff, every one of them, did everything possible to make Dad's time there as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They also made the relatives feel at home. Thank you all!
The manager and his staff, cared for my Father from April this year, up to the present. During his stay, he was happy and his needs were always met with courtesy and professionalism from his dedicated team. His room was always spotless and his clothes were always quickly laundered and returned. The surroundings in Heyberry were always bright and airy and the whole building gave off a good sense of wellbeing.
My lovely mother-in-law spent her final eight years here and it was one of the happiest times of her life. The staff are so attentive and caring, the food is remarkable (thanks to all the wonderful staff), lots of fun things to do and in a lovely, safe, clean environment. I saw her every day in the final months and saw the staff close up. This is a wonderful place, I cannot thank you all enough for the care, attention and, dare I say, love you show to all the lovely residents. Miss you all. Fabulous place. Thank you again.
Heyberry House is a wonderful place. It was a true home to our Mum, where she spent a very happy year, she sadly passed away in March (in hospital). When she decided to move into care, her mobility and general well-being were quite poor, but quite quickly her confidence and health were restored. She enjoyed her meals which were carefully prepared to meet her needs by Heyberry's lovely cook. She regained much independence thanks to the support and good humour of all the staff. For us as a family, we appreciated being welcomed in when we visited Mum in 'her home'. It was useful to use the conservatory when several of us visited and we enjoyed celebrating her 96th birthday in the lounge! When she became poorly, we were contacted quickly and supported. When we returned to Heyberry after she died, the staff were so lovely, helpful and sensitive. I would recommend Heyberry wholeheartedly.
My mother moved into Heyberry House four months ago and I now feel able to comment on her care. Firstly, I would like to thank the staff for how well they are looking after her. Staff are welcoming, caring and responsive. They all work incredibly hard, sometimes under extremely challenging circumstances. I really appreciate the lengths they go to, especially with the demands that are sometimes made. When mum has felt unwell they have responded quickly, ensuring she has been thoroughly checked over by themselves and clinical staff too. From my observation the staff really do care for their residents, not only that, they also care about them too. My sincere thanks to one and all.
My mum was in Heyberry House for approximately 3 years, the 1st 2 years were really good, she was able to do a lot for herself, also make her own bed etc. In March last year she had a few falls and was hospitalised, unfortunately when she came out of hospital she was bedbound. Heyberry carers tried to get her out of bed once or twice but said my mum would kick, scream and grab when she was put into a hoist. My mum had had a stroke many years before which took her voice away and she was very weak on one side, I asked to watch her being moved, there was no kicking and screaming at all. The next thing was they got a doctor involved to say she was uncontrollable so he put her on Diazapan which made her in a zombie-like state. The next thing was getting her on sloppy foods and thick easy in her drinks, also she should have been assisted which she wasn't which led her from being a 12 st lady to 7st 10 We have moved my mum now to another home which she is thriving off all meds and is back eating solid foods.
Mum went into Heyberry 7 years ago, we didn't know what to expect but I can honestly say that we have been more than happy with the care Mum receives because the staff here are exceptional and we don't have any worries about her and this confirms that we made the right choice in Heyberry all those years ago.
From the moment I spoke to the staff manager at Heyberry House everything was good. From the assessment at hospital to a trial stay and permanent stay. The staff and the environment have helped to turn my uncle's life around. His wellbeing has soared and he is cared for by a great team of staff. I would (and have) recommended Heyberry House. The staff are caring and supportive, professional, and kind. My family and I will be forever grateful for this. It has affected all of us in such a positive way; knowing that my uncle is safe and cared for and respected. Sending all the staff and their families best wishes for health and happiness. Thank you.
My mum is a fairly new resident and I visited many care homes before choosing Heyberry House. As soon as I walked in, I could just feel a nice, warm, friendly atmosphere. It is clean and modern with spacious en-suite rooms and Mum tells me the food is very good! But the main reason I would recommend Heyberry House is the wonderful team of kind, caring, helpful staff who work so hard to look after all the residents treating them with dignity, kindness and respect.
After nearly a year, we as a family are still very happy, grateful and reassured that my dad is receiving the best of care in a homely and safe environment. The staff go above and beyond to make Dad's life comfortable while still retaining his independence and choice. We could not ask for more. With grateful thanks to the management and all the wonderful staff at Heyberry House.
My friend has been a Heyberry House resident for six years. He is very well looked after, his needs are met with kindness and cheerfulness. The staff make a big effort to go the extra mile, for example, the Home is frequently decorated to coincide with the times of the year. My friend and all residents I have seen are always treated with dignity and compassion. I would have no hesitation in recommending Heyberry House to anyone. A warm, welcoming and friendly place.
My brother has resided at Heyberry House for over three years. I have always found the staff very caring and helpful. They are aware of his personality and are understanding of his needs. The residents' rooms are of a good size and nicely furnished. The eating area is on the ground floor and is more like a restaurant in layout with a weekly menu at the entrance. My brother is always happy to return after we have taken him out for coffee and cake. The lounge area is very spacious and modern. During Covid when rules were allowed and viable, an area was prepared so that you visit under non-intrusive supervision. The garden area is large and well set out.
The staff at Heyberry have cared for my mum, yet let her have her independence at the same time. They are always involved in activities and days out. They celebrate every occasion and are accommodating to family. It's sociable at meal times, and food is in constant supply. Mum has progressed so much since she has been here.
Mum has been a resident at Heyberry since 2019. Although Mum's mobility has been compromised in the last couple of years, the staff have been very caring and professional in ensuring she is hoisted and moved around the home. The staff are attentive to her personal needs and medication. Heyberry House has a nice, welcoming atmosphere with friendly faces, and Mum remarks on how friendly and caring everyone is and is happy to be living there.

The staff are friendly and courteous and any queries have been answered promptly. I'd highly recommend Heyberry House to anyone who is looking for residential care for a family member.
Mum has been a resident at Heyberry House since summer 2021. Mum suffers from dementia and has complex care needs and medications, the care she receives at Heyberry is of an excellent standard they understand her needs and nothing seems too much trouble. The staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to talk about Mum's care, the rooms/flats are of a good size and comfortable with a good size bathroom. I am confident Mum is receiving the best care and can't thank the staff enough.
The care and attention Mum has received are wonderful. All the staff are so helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. There is always a warm welcome when visiting Mum. All the above has resulted in my mum, who's always been independent, now being happy and content. I know mum is safe and is being well cared for.
I found the care home to be very tidy and very well run, the staff to be thoughtful, polite and friendly, supportive and professional. There is plenty to do for the residents as well, they're not confined to being indoors. There is a very nice garden for the residents to sit outside if they wish to do so and are supervised at all times.
My mum lived at Heyberry House for over 4 years. The care and attention she received were second to none from every member of staff, they were like a second family to her. During the 4 years, she enjoyed trips to the cinema, pub lunches and even a weekend away in Blackpool and there was always daily activities for her to take part in. Even when she was in end of life care, they made sure that she stayed at Heyberry in familiar surroundings, my sister and I will be forever grateful for making her passing as comfortable as possible.
