View Full Details of Lezayre Nursing HomeSuperb nursing home. My mum has always received excellent nursing care. She has complex needs and can pose challenges sometimes. The staff at the home are always good with Mum. Nothing is too much trouble. Myself and my family are reassured she is safe and in capable hands. Staff are really friendly, smiling and approachable. All staff go out of their way to chat with myself and family. They will update us on anything new with Mum. We as a family are extremely grateful to all the staff nurses, care, management, chefs, handyman, cleaning. We can't thank them enough
Exceptional care and management. I was initially anxious for my partner to be placed in a home. She was dying and in need of round-the-clock support which I could not give. I have not had experience with homes and read and seen a lot of negativity about care homes. I'd just like to say my anxiety was short-lived when stepping into Lezayre. Management was so accommodating to my and my partner's wishes. Carers and nurses gave my partner outstanding care and respect. All staff were always smiling and friendly. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I have seen and heard a lot of kind and heartfelt moments in this home between staff and their service users. I would see staff talking to the service users with love and compassion. Many times I would come in and see and hear party preparations. I know my partner would have loved this if she had been well enough. It was obvious all service users mattered and the focus seemed to be about them and making days fun and worthwhile. Thank you Lezayre!
My mum lived at this home, but she’s sadly passed away now. Words can’t describe how well looked after she was. The care here is second to none. The staff are friendly and inviting. Me and my family were always made to feel like a home from home. You are made to feel like part of an extended family. The care my mum was given at the end of her life was comforting, respectful, and dignified. Me and my family walked away from such an emotional and heartbreaking experience, to have comfort in the fact Mum died peacefully.
My aunt has been in Lezayre for approaching 2 years now. I take my dad to see his sister regularly, they are both in their 80s and my auntie has severe dementia. We can't thank the staff enough for how they care for my aunt. She has great care, everyone is so kind and patient with her. The new lady who has joined to engage with residents is already making a difference, although not to take anything away from everyone else who are amazing and do an incredibly difficult job with compassion, kindness, conscientiousness and humour. Thank you all so much.
My sister and I had to put Mum into a nursing home 6 months ago due to dementia. We are so glad we chose Lezayre. They have gone over and above to make Mum feel welcome but also supported us during this traumatic time. I say traumatic because this as many of you will understand is how it feels to take a parent from their home and independence but it was the best thing we did. All members of staff are pleasant and friendly. They all muck in with jobs and work so hard, always with a smile. We now sleep at night knowing Mum is safe.
Thank you once again to the manager and her amazing team for the outstanding care provided to my husband. Recently my husband has been quite poorly. The care and dedication of the Lezayre team has been and continues to be, second to none. All procedures were followed to the letter. I was well-informed and consulted throughout. Thankfully, he recovered enough to enjoy his birthday celebrations last week and once again I was delighted to see the genuine, heartfelt care from the staff and the further enjoyment of the residents singing Happy Birthday! The chef made a special fuss of him. This is an extremely well-run care home, with an emphasis on really being home from home. From cleaning to catering, care to clinical needs, entertainment and maintenance, and everything in between, all staff are cheerful and happy to accommodate any requests.
Very happy with the standards and professionalism of the staff. Make me feel at ease with the care of my nan. We can visit at any time in the day which is so convenient with our busy schedule. Honestly hats off to the team thanks so much!
I would highly recommend this care home to anyone who wants their family member to feel part of a family, respected and cared for with dignity. Lezayre Nursing Home was recommended to me by four people and now I recommend it too. I am very fussy about care for my mother and her needs as a person. The staff are so amazing and down to earth. They even supported me when I was a bag of nerves putting my mum in. My mum has been there five weeks now and is totally settled. The care is top notch and the place is very clean. I feel so much less stressed knowing my mum is safe and cared for in this amazing home. Big thank you to the amazing staff.
Great home. Clean and tidy.
Mum has been in another care home but we as a family didn't like the care mum was receiving. I as her daughter couldn't sleep well because I was so worried about mum. Since mum has been at Lezayre Nursing Home I sleep better. The care mum gets is on another level from cleaners, cooks, nurses and care staff. Everyone always speaks to her.
Facilities, more than acceptable, currently doing upgrades Care/Support, brilliant the whole staff care from the cleaners to the managers, all residents treated the same with love. Nurses have been brilliant with my mum's needs! Cleanliness, always see cleaners cleaning, mum's room kept very clean. Treated with dignity, I've watched the staff treat all residents with dignity even the more challenging ones. All are treated the same. Food and drink. The smell of the homemade cooking is amazing, my mum has diet issues, but it's no issue for the cooks. Residents/visitors are always being given drinks! Staff, brilliant, so friendly and happy; Activities, only scored it a 4 as I come of a morning and miss most; Management, the Manager has built a great team here. You can see the team spirit, all staff working together, always hear laughs; Safety, no concerns now I've moved my mum here; Rooms, got everything mum needs, just getting a make-over as we speak; Value for money, yes!
We moved our mother here roughly about six to eight weeks ago. Myself, my brother and sister are all in agreement it's the best decision we have made. This home is exceptional in all areas, well managed and organised and has a brilliant team of caring staff who are all working as one in delivering the best care for our mother and all the other residents. Her dietary needs are being met as she is coeliac and is putting on weight. The food she is receiving is of a very high standard and varied, it also smells amazing. The home has very high cleanliness standards due to the attention to detail of the housekeeper and her staff. The home also has an activities organiser who does a fantastic job in organising various activities and arranges outside entertainers to visit the residents. My family and I cannot thank the staff who work at Lezayre enough for the care and nursing our mother is receiving. They all go above and beyond in the care of every one of the residents.
Lovely atmosphere in the home every time I visit my nan, it’s always spotless and the staff are all so friendly. My nan has settled in great and is really happy here, our family are all so grateful.
My nan lives here and is really happy. What a lovely home. The friendly caring vibe is evident as soon as you walk in. It is clear that the staff at Lezayre genuinely care about the residents and work really hard to provide quality loving care for the residents. It is clear they try their best to treat them as if they were their own family and genuinely care a lot about everybody living there.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The house is in a clean condition and no „bad smells“ when entering. I‘m glad my mother was sent to Lezayre by the hospital after a fall. She recovered quick and looked far better very soon.
Our grandma has been in the home for several years, she is happy and settled and it reassures us that she is well looked after by the lovely and dedicated staff at the home who love our grandma as much as we do. We can’t thank them enough, especially given the last two years with Covid-19.
Where do we start, our stepfather has been in Lezayre, for the past few months, and on arriving he was very low. Over a period of time, we have seen a massive change in him for the better, the staff are all very caring, and encouraging. Management we’ve found nothing a problem easy to talk to and they get things sorted, appointments etc. Food is good, his room is clean, and he is. Yes a little tired in some places, but work is in progress, the staff give the home a good atmosphere, activities guy brings out the best in all, very encouraging and fun.
The care and kindness in the nursing home was exceptional. My mum was constantly monitored by the care staff and nurses. My mum was treated with compassion, empathy, and respect. Although mum couldn't eat much the quality of the food was excellent and every effort was made to make her things she liked. Mum was only there for a short time about seven weeks; the room was very small but I could see much larger comfortable room. My mum was unable to get to the dining room or residents lounge so I can't comment. This is a small care home and on first impressions may seem lacking but I am so pleased my mum was placed there as the care and attitude of the staff was outstanding including the manager. Pay your staff more!
My mother was admitted to the care home from hospital and received end-of-life care for 7 weeks. She was cared for by nurses and carers who were professional, warm, friendly, and did all they could for her whilst she was there. They did all they could to maintain her wishes and dignity during this time. We are really grateful for the standard of care and the dedication of the whole team at the home.
Bit basic, but mother-in-law is fed and treated well.
