View Full Details of Brookfield HouseAll the staff are very friendly and helpful, it's nice and clean, lots of activities for residents in the day time. All the staff go out of their way to answer any questions you have. All the residents are very happy and content. My wife has settled in very well. Was apprehensive at first but no need to worry about her at all. It's like a close-knit family, managers, senior nurses and the rest of the staff.
I note that the total experience here is very good. The staff are very supportive and extremely caring.
Very happy with the respite care given to my Mum, while her private carer was on holiday. Mum was very well looked after. The staff and manager were very caring. The home was very clean and well-maintained.
My mother was discharged from hospital to Brookfield in spring 2020. She soon settled in and her health improved due to the excellent care she received. Due to Covid restrictions, visiting was impossible, but there was always an instant update for me whenever I rang. Regular bulletins were sent out to ensure that residents, families and staff were kept safe. Mum's ongoing care was excellent. I felt that she was well looked after and treated with respect. The home is in a lovely spot. It is clean and tidy and a place of calm efficiency provided by lovely staff. Entertainment and events for the residents make it a happy place to be. When Mum needed medical care, it was arranged promptly and I was informed immediately. Sadly, Mum died last year. She received wonderful end-of-life care, dying with dignity. They were very kind and supported me well. I would be happy to recommend the team to anyone considering care for their loved one.
My father moved to Brookfield House on April 2023. I was concerned about how he would settle into a residential care home, but I am relieved that we chose Brookfield House; situated next to the beautiful Nantwich Lake. All staff here are kind, thoughtful, cheerful and helpful. They go out of their way to help residents and maintain an encouraging and cheerful disposition at all times. They listen to any concerns raised by residents or relatives and act quickly to help resolve things so that residents feel at ease and are cared for well. My father has become much stronger and maintained health since he has been there, due to the vigilance of the staff team, and is quickly reassured if he is upset or confused at any time. He comments regularly that all staff are lovely and has settled in well. There is a programme of entertainment each day and residents are encouraged to participate, which provides variety and interest. I feel confident that my father is well cared for here.
Very satisfied with the standard of care provided, the staff are very caring and well tuned in to my father's needs. He is treated with the utmost respect we expect for a gentleman of his standing and years. Food is excellent and the home have been particularly responsive to his needs around trips to hospital and missing regular meal times. His room is splendid for him and I have no hesitation in saying that he is very comfortable and satisfied with his situation and I would expect that anyone else would find it similarly.
My father spent a very happy nine months at Brookfield House. The staff were friendly and kind and his room was perfect. It was kept clean and tidy and my father was comfortable and safe. Dad's wishes were always considered and I had no worries about his welfare whilst he was there. I would recommend Brookfield House to anyone wanting a friendly, efficient home for their loved one.
My mum was placed in Brookfield House as her Dementia took a sharp turn for the worse, and she is no longer able to live safely at home alone. The management and staff at Brookfield are so kind and caring and were really patient with Mum as she was settling in. The care she receives daily couldn't be better. They have taken time to learn Mum's likes and dislikes, and we, as a family, really couldn't hope for Mum to be better looked after. I would recommend Brookfield to anyone in the same difficult position that we were in. Thanks so much to the manager and all of the staff in a lovely place.
Following a fall at home and a hospital stay, my mum recently moved to Brookfield House for continuing support before going home. Everyone has been really lovely towards Mum while she's settled in. All the staff are so kind, patient, compassionate and loving. They make time to talk to Mum, which really makes her feel as though she's cared for and I know she enjoys the friendly atmosphere. It's a great comfort to know that Mum is being so well looked after. After 9 weeks of being at Brookfield House, Mum has decided that she'd like to stay permanently. The manager and staff have been so helpful and kind in organising this. I know that Mum has reached this decision because of how she has been treated during her stay and she feels so safe and happy there. This definitely says a lot about all the team! I cannot praise this care home enough and would have no reservations in recommending this house to anyone wishing to place a loved one here.
My mother recently moved to Brookfield House after a decline in her health and suffering falls. Everybody has been very kind and done all they can to help Mum settle in. Mum says all the staff are lovely. Everybody has been very helpful to me too and has always taken the time to answer all my questions.
My uncle has been a resident in the home for 12 months. He has dementia and has been diagnosed with cancer. Despite his dementia, he says the staff can’t do enough for him and that is my observation when I visit him. He looks well cared for and his room and the day rooms always look clean, tidy and create a welcoming atmosphere. Sometimes I can hear the staff talking to the other residents. They may not realise I can hear them but they are so lovely with them. It cannot be easy to answer the same question over and over. They treat the residents with courtesy and respect. If I have raised any concerns for example when my uncle complained of back pain, it was dealt with straight away. I am so pleased that a place was available in Brookfield House. It is comforting to know as a family, we don’t have to worry about his care.
I am very impressed with Brookfield House and know that my Mum is completely settled, content and is very happy. I have always found everybody, without exception, to be friendly and to put the residents' best interests first. My Mum soon got used to the new routine for her and I cannot fault the care she has received. Mum has a very comfortable room, which is very close to the lounge she uses. Brookfield has such a very convenient location with the park just across the way and gives easy access for visitors to see their residents through the window and have a chat if they don't have an appointment to visit. My daughters and their families very often walk by the window and will wave and chat to Mum via their phone to her phone. Mum enjoys these chats and seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and how they have grown etc. Brookfield is such a friendly place and the "team" all work together and are very focused on their resident's happiness.
In June 2021 when dementia made it no longer possible to remain independent in her own home safely, our darling 90-year-old mum joined the Brookfield family for what would be the final seven months of her very full life. It's "a family" where all members of staff - patient expert carers, catering staff (helping an elderly vegetarian!), cleaners and managers and all - play a full part. It's a community and environment where residents feel like they belong. The carers are positive, kind and highly professional and loving towards everyone. There is fun and humour too and activities and events to mark birthdays and national events with lots of hard work put in. We were kept informed at all times - it's such a friendly atmosphere. At whatever time of day I called, whoever I spoke with knew where mum was, how she was, what she'd eaten etc. I had such confidence in the team and mum's care. They were supportive to us too and so helpful, knowledgeable and comforting. Thanks so very much!
Mum was discharged to Brookfield House from hospital one month ago. I was anxious about her discharge as it was clear that she would need to transition to 24-hour care, so I was afraid she would end up "stuck" somewhere that would be distressing for her. I couldn't have wished for a better place. The staff are nothing short of amazing! They are friendly and upbeat, genuinely caring, and have incredible, calm skills with the more challenging experiences of dementia. They also provide an entertaining and fun environment for the young at heart, with lovely activities, as well as calm, cosy areas when preferred. The layout of the building is ideal for mum, as she is still quite independent and mobile. There are a variety of pleasant rooms to safely move between, including access to her own room. Food, laundry, cleanliness, communication, all are faultless. I am enormously relieved to see them keeping her safe, supported, happy, and truly cared for. And she clearly adores them. Fantastic!
My mum has Alzheimer’s and I really struggled to try to make the right decision as I wasn’t convinced a home was going to make her happy. I can’t believe the difference Brookfield House has made to her quality of life. The care team are just lovely and they really do care, she’s like a different person she loves playing bingo, the other day she’d had her nails painted and it’s so lovely weather permitting when we can sit in the garden together. It’s so reassuring to know I’ve made the right choice.
My mother moved into Brookfield House at the end of January 2012 after a stay in hospital for pneumonia and Covid-19. My mother has dementia and during the two week period of isolation she was monitored regularly and her progress fed back to my siblings and I. The professionalism and dedication of the staff ensures that mum feels secure and reassured in her new environment. The team feed back their observations about my mum's progress and inform us when outside professionals are involved in her care. We are able to phone daily to ask about mum and the staff are always willing to talk to us. If possible we are also able to speak to her on the phone. The team make it easy and pleasurable to visit mum face to face. The team are really kind and patient and go out of their way to help mum live as full a life as possible. With support and encouragement mum is now able to sit in the lounge and mix with other residents. I cannot thank the staff for all their care, patience and humour.
My mother moved into Brookfield House after suffering from pneumonia. I feel that the care she has received has been excellent. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are very patient with her. She'd always beautifully presented and all her needs catered for.
Brookfield House - I cannot praise this care home enough. My mother is a resident and has been since May 2019. All the staff are attentive to the needs and requirements of the residents and are absolutely first class with the care they give. It’s been a testing time over the last year and I feel that they have gone that extra mile to provide a secure homely environment for my mother and all the residents. The management of the home by the manager and deputy is absolutely brilliant and shows in the hard work that they do which is a testament to them. They regularly update on the resident's well-being and their team are a credit to the caring profession. I cannot thank each and everyone but ranging from the kitchen staff/cleaners/ maintenance/entertainment/carers themselves who go in every day and night to this place is amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone thinking of placing a loved one here. The reviews speak for themselves. Thank you.
My mother-in-law recently became a resident at Brookfield House. It was a decision she had been thinking about for a couple of years. Feeling safe and secure is of major importance to her and one of the main reasons for giving up living independently. Due to Covid she had to self isolate for the first two weeks, but with the constant help and support of all the care staff, she managed this really well. She is now able to mix with other residents and again with the encouragement and care of staff is making new friends and becoming more settled. The care and compassion shown helps the family feel confident that she is in the right place. Thank you.
Dad moved to Brookfields House in February 2021 as he has Dementia, due to Covid obviously we couldn't go and have a look around beforehand but Nicky was very helpful always updating us, on Dad's arrival the manager and her staff were there to meet Dad and showed me pictures of his room which were very reassuring. Dad has settled in really well and we are very happy with his care, Dad is always nicely dressed which means a lot to us as a family staff are lovely and friendly and Dad gets on well with them and vice versa. The manager and her staff are very approachable and nothing is too much trouble a lovely and friendly atmosphere.
