View Full Details of The CedarsMy father moved a few months ago to The Cedars and we have been very impressed with the quality of care shown to him. The home is very clean and to a high standard of maintenance, he always says the meals he has are excellent. The staff and management are most welcoming and attentive and keep us informed of any issues or needs he may have.
The Ceders is a truly amazing place. The care, support and kindness is exceptional. When we visit the staff are friendly and kind and it is clear to see the level of care is to a very high standard. Questions are answered and if we need any help or advice we are listened to. So glad our family member is in such a great place. Thank you.
I am very pleased with the home. My mum didn't want to go into a home but now she loves her little 'flat'. The staff are all amazing and look after her so well. Recently I have been going in for a day to make Xmas cards and everyone seems very caring and friendly. The residents who make the cards with me seem to enjoy themselves.
My sister-in-law has been at The Cedars for over 4 years. She is very happy there. Their care is exceptional, could not ask for better, and they look after her every need. Everyone deserves a medal, very happy place to live, well done everyone.
My aunt has never been so happy. It is a joy to see her smiling and engaged and joining in with the activities. The staff are awesome. Outstanding care. Family are informed and get involved. Staff are caring and responsive. Clean and welcoming environment.
We would just like to say how 'homely' friendly The Cedars is. Welcomed, the whole stay was enjoyable and care was excellent. Thank you and can happily recommend The Cedars. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Impressed by the degree of care, especially in 'end-of-life'.
Very friendly staff. Warm welcome and homely environment. Very accommodating and understanding of residents' needs. Nothing is too much trouble.
My mum lived at The Cedars for over a year before she sadly passed away, and I can't thank the staff at The Cedars enough for the outstanding care Mum had. I visited Mum most weeks and often sat with Mum and the other residents. The staff are all passionate, caring and happy in their job. The Cedars is homely, one big family and I loved visiting. They always made me feel welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. They do activities every day and have singers or entertainers in every week. They also do a lot of arts and crafts.
Throughout my mother-in-law's four weeks of respite care, we were very impressed with the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of all staff across the entire care home. Everyone seemed genuinely happy in their job and to care with love. Staff were very attentive at all times and took the time to engage with my mother-in-law, encouraging her to join in with the community as much as she was able. She enjoyed the company of both staff and the other residents, who were very friendly and supportive, and particularly enjoyed the dance performance. All staff were ready to listen to relatives and adapted her menu to her needs to support her to eat safely. Staff were helpful and informative, working with relatives to ensure that my mother-in-law was safe and as happy as possible and liaising with the GP to pass on any health concerns. Every one of the Cedars staff is amazing, their hard work, dedication and care make all the difference and are very much appreciated.
The Cedars have provided a very good service to not only my mother but the family. They have met her needs totally until recently when my mum has needed to move to a nursing home. My mum has been treated really well by all the staff who complete their role professionally but most of all are friendly and approachable. We have always been consulted with regard to care planning and involvement of other agencies. As her needs have changed the manager has always discussed matters with us. We are sorry my mum couldn't stay.
Our mum was in The Cedars for 18 months. She was well and truly cared for and looked after. She always referred to the home as the hotel that does all of her food washing and ironing. She loved to dance even though she wasn't very mobile but would always get up with her walker at the first sign of music playing. We would highly recommend The Cedars as a care home for your loved ones. You are always made to feel welcome when you go to visit by both carers and other residents who also like to engage in conversation and activities with you.
When I arrived I was quite ill. The service I received from when I arrived to the day I left was outstanding. It felt like I was part of a big family, from the carers, other staff and the people I met who were like myself. I feel like I have made friends there. I will never forget my time at The Cedars.
We were very happy with the care my uncle received whilst at the Cedars. The management and the team were excellent and kept us informed at all times. They were very efficient with all aspects of admin and communication and helped us re-home my uncle when it became clear he needed more one-to-one care. I would certainly recommend this home. It is clear that everything is effectively run.
I would just like to thank all staff for packing my mum's stuff up, unfortunately, she had to go into a nursing care home from residential so she had to leave due to hospital recommendation so she is sad to leave. I had to empty her room today but when I got there the staff had emptied her room all neat and tidy and moved it all downstairs, I could not believe the work they did as Mum has a lot of stuff really, all we had to do was put it in the car. I also want to say the staff have really looked after my mum during her stay there and she and I are sad to go but that’s life. All staff go one mile higher to help you in situations that arise I can not fault them, they have been fantastic and really cared for my mum during her stay there. All staff are a credit to the company, highly recommend, all of them all deserve credit. Thanks a million, today for your kind help, being unwell myself, I struggle to lift but The Cedars Care Home did all the hard work.
Having broken my leg at the age of 87 years, I decided to apply for two-week respite care at The Cedars Care Home. I was made extremely welcome on admission, having been previously assessed. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I was given by a well-organised team of staff who were extremely competent in the treatment I received with the management of a wound caused at the time of the break. The home was efficiently managed - including the safety of all the residents. Impressed that staff had the opportunity to enhance their training with NVQs etc.
I would highly recommend The Cedars. My aunt has been very happy since moving in. The staff are very caring, kind and helpful and always have a smile and time to spend with residents and visitors. The residents are treated with dignity and respect. There are regular activities, such as bingo and quizzes and singers come in to perform, which is well received. The Cedars is like a home from home; it is always warm and the home-cooked food is very good and enjoyed by all.
My dad was only in there a short time before he died, but we were impressed with his care and the staff were all lovely with him. They showed him great caring, understanding and compassion and he was really happy with them. The family were all there the day he died and because he died in his own chair the staff helped to move him to his bed in the most dignified way. Being a very religious man, the home contacted the local catholic priest who came all the way from Manchester where he was looking after his own sick mother, to give him last rites. Which we all witnessed. My dad had been made to look so peaceful in his bed. All the family were given access to a sitting room and given tea, coffee and sandwiches. A lovely touch. Thank you.
All staff were friendly, helpful, caring and understanding. The Cedars is a very welcoming and homely place, unfortunately, Dad needed more care and had to be moved. We were very happy with him there and had no complaints whatsoever.
My 95yr old mother was placed at The Cedars whilst waiting for social care at home. She was severely sight impaired and had fluctuating levels of mobility which the care staff managed really well. She was made very welcome as were we, the family when visiting. Within weeks of placement, Mum's health deteriorated substantially. Staff were quick to act calling on support from health professionals when appropriate. Sadly, just as Mum was settling down at The Cedars she was taken into hospital for intense investigations but sadly passed away. We are grateful for the level of care and management at The Cedars and highly recommend it.
