View Full Details of CrosswaysMy mum has been in Crossways since October 2024. I have been very pleased with the care provided. All the staff seem very attentive to my mum's care and needs and are always pleasant. Communication of any issues or general admin is excellent.
The care and administration staff were, at all times, very attentive, caring and friendly. The feeling is very homely and we were always made welcome.
My Mother (91) was transferred to Crossways from hospital for 'end of life care'. The care and attention given to her while at Crossways was excellent, all of the staff from admin, care, and catering were brilliant - 100% committed, nothing ever being 'too much trouble' for them. Although my Mother was unable to take part, there were always organised activities for the residents to participate in. One other important point - the telephone was always answered promptly, unlike other care homes that we have experienced.
Mum has been in the home now since June 2023 as stepdad passed away in May and she could no longer manage on her own. She has enjoyed the company of the other residents and is still enjoying her time there. The only thing I can suggest is the carers wear name badges as it's quite difficult to remember the names of all the carers.
The management and staff make this home. They have amazing caring, great staff. Although the home is very much in need of updating the staff make up for that. We are although very disappointed with the food, they are bland and dry (ie no gravy or beans with meals) of which my dad struggles to eat. I have to take in ready meals.
I cannot say how caring the staff are and how well my father-in-law is looked after. Everything he needs is taken care of, he is never left alone for hours on end like in some places. He tells me he loves all the staff and I must say his personal care is second to none. Now he is being cared for his room is always spotless, clean clothes, clean bedding. The home smells clean and you can smell where the cleaners have been. It's all spotless. I couldn't wish for a better home for him to end his days.
The staff are always extremely patient and caring. They have helped us as a family during a difficult time and make us feel very confident that my mother is getting the right care that she needs. Staff are always happy to explain things and make adjustments to meet individual needs.
Well received by management, taken around the home, shown all facilities, bedroom, showroom and dining room. Discussed all medical needs and important information. The security was good, the home was warm, and the all staff smiled and greeted you. Atmosphere was homely. I felt very relieved to leave my mother (91 years old) in good care.
The care staff have ensured that such a difficult situation for my father has been dealt with with such warmth, care and humanity for others. I can not praise the Crossways team enough for their dedication, compassion and warmth towards my father and my family. Thank you so much! I will remember all of the support that you have given my mother, me and my extended family for the rest of my days.
I was very happy with the service and care my mother received during her stay at Crossways. I found all the staff very friendly and helpful. The staff always kept me informed about my mother's health and needs.
The staff are brilliant, caring, patient and understanding. I cannot find fault with them at all. The home is warm and homely, although some areas are a little tired. Mum complains to me that the food is not as good as it was. I do understand this must be a difficult area due to rising costs.
The staff took good care of our mother, particularly when she was very weak and vulnerable. They have been very understanding in handling her vascular dementia. The building and contents do need updating and renewing, it all looks a bit tired. The staff are friendly, caring and kind.
My family member is in this care home and he always says they look after him.
I find the staff approachable and helpful. Management is excellent and friendly, really looked after my mum well and attended to her needs with care and dignity. Food is of good quality and there are choices, a good variety of activities, nice atmosphere, always makes me feel welcome and keeps me informed regarding Mum's health and welfare. Would highly recommend.
Staff are always friendly and patients seem to be treated very well and with dignity. The place always seems clean and fresh. Thank you.
Very caring and helpful staff. Excellent activities organised for residents.
My nana lived at Crossways Care Home for two years until she passed away in August, the care and compassion she was shown throughout was absolutely amazing. She was always so happy when I came to see it and enjoyed seeing many pictures on the Facebook page of her doing her activities. The staff were always caring and respectful towards me and my family when we visited and we were included in every part of Nana's care right up until the end. Thank you Crossways for being like our second family, it will never be forgotten.
I am very relieved to have found Crossways Care Home for my father as he had been in a home where I worried so much about his care. Crossways is marvellous. They are lovely, happy staff who care for my father wonderfully. I don't worry at all. The food is great and my father is as happy as he can be under his circumstances. They see to all his needs with a smile and keep me informed on everything.
I'm really happy with my nan's care, I see her on a regular basis and she always looks happy and healthy. The staff are always so polite, I would like to thank them for everything they do for my nan.
Helpful, caring staff, have time to put you at ease. Happy to answer questions. Management explained everything very well.
