View Full Details of The HawthornsMy mum was cared for and loved with great kindness by all members of the staff. When visiting all my mum's friends and relatives were welcomed as members of this loving community. It is not possible to praise them enough.
The Hawthorns is a very caring environment for my dad. He is happy here and very well looked after. The staff are very welcoming and happy to assist in any way they can.
The care my mother received at the home was excellent. All staff treated her with care and dignity.
I am very happy with the care my mum receives from The Hawthorns. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful and can answer any questions I may have regarding Mum or care. Mum is always clean and tidy and settled when I visit her.
My father recently stayed at The Hawthorns for one week of respect care. The stay was of such a high standard, and the staff are so kind, welcoming and professional that my father has now returned to The Hawthorns as a permanent resident. Support for the family is clearly very important, and we have all felt both welcome and supported. Care comes first in this home. The manager, deputy and administrator are all exceptional. We are so grateful.
This is a very friendly and caring home. The staff are very dedicated to looking after all residents. The facilities could be improved but I am happy that my mum is safe and well looked after there.
We were recommended this care home by a work colleague and we have not been disappointed. Father-in-law is cared for in a calm, friendly and dignified manner. All his needs are met, he is always clean and neatly dressed. He himself says he enjoys the food, feels safe, likes all the staff and is very comfortable. Lots of activities to choose from. Bedroom is comfortable and clean. Building needs some refurbishment but staff are amazing and approachable.
Very caring and helpful and a good atmosphere.
Mum has only been at The Hawthorns for 2 weeks but she has settled in so well. She loves her room and all the staff are so friendly towards her and me She is joining in activities which I never thought she would do and the overall change in her in such a short period is wonderful. Thank you everyone!
The staff were incredibly helpful and caring. They made my grandmother feel very welcome. She was very well looked after and I cannot fault the service given.
My mum has been here since April this year until October when she sadly passed away. I cannot express how much myself and my family were welcomed and supported by the staff from a first look around before Mum took residence until she passed away. As a family we were constantly informed of Mum's health and welfare, and whenever we phoned them to check up on how Mum was they were always able to inform me and not ask me to wait till they found someone who knew about my mum. The care Mum got was first class and she loved all the staff (her eyes lit up when they entered the room). Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Month on month, The Hawthorns displays a happy, caring environment. The staff are always smiling, very friendly and welcoming when we visit.
Since moving into the Hawthorns in 2020 my mother-in-law has been well cared for and has thrived due to the care and considerate nature of all the staff (domestics, care staff and management). It is our extended family and we feel so lucky that she lives there. Recently she has deteriorated and the staff have been marvellous and looked after her with dignity and love. We can't rate the staff any higher they are all angels.
On entry, The Hawthorns feels welcoming, notably no smells! The manager and all the staff are kind and work hard to make everyone feel at home. They are endlessly helpful and supportive. I can't imagine a more special place for my father where he is safe among lovely people.
We couldn't have found a more caring, safe and lovely home for mum. Every member of staff has been wonderful with her and our family. It really is a home-from-home. Friendly and very welcoming, I have every faith that mum is being well looked after. Thank you all for your amazing work.
My brother and myself moved our sister from a home in Manchester miles away from her family; the best move ever. Sister and ourselves couldn't be happier. Sister is washed, dressed and out of bed every day (kept in bed previously in other home). The staff of all ranks are excellent and treat residents with respect. The care is second to none with activities daily. Practically every day Sister says she has never been happier.
In the few short weeks my sister has resided at The Hawthorns, she has blossomed. On every one of our visits, she tells us how happy she is, thanks to all the staff and the professional, attentive and respectful care she receives.
Lovely welcome from staff and management. Carers are brilliant and professional. The lunch is always something different and sounds very nice. They are asked what they want for breakfast, so very accommodating to the residents. The Hawthorns is a lovely, clean and friendly care home with hard-working carers and management, well looked after.
Fantastic staff and management make for an excellent experience for the residents. Good food, entertainment and a high level of care. I'm so pleased my mum ended up in their home and I would love to see my nanna in the same home.
I have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and caring. The home is clean, tidy and well-kept. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to someone.
