The staff were professionals during my mothers residency. Always polite, and providing health updates if anything had changed. Great care home and staff. During her decline with dementia I could have not asked for a more supportive home for her.
My mum recently passed away after around 18 months at Hillcrest. Before she passed away she had been quite ill and bed bound as well as having had dementia for around 4 years. I cannot praise the team at Hillcrest enough, the support they gave me and our family was second only to the care they gave Mum. I guess its easy when folk have dementia to not see them as still being a person, quite the contrary from the Hillcrest team who treated mum with such respect, compassion and fondness that helped mum throughout her time with them. Its so very true that any team is only as good as its leader, the manager is immense and walks that path between being a great support and holding up the mirror with such skill. They truly felt like part of my extended family and want to thank them all for their support, preparedness to laugh with me when the time was right and know when I needed time to cry. You are amazing xx
Mum has been a resident at Hillcrest since November. She settled in very quickly, which came as a surprise knowing mum. Which I can only put down to the professional and caring staff who made her feel welcome and safe. The care has been excellent and any incident for example a fall, is always notified to me by phone and what action they have taken. I wouldn't want mum anywhere else.
My mother, who is 94-years-old, has been a resident at Hillcrest for 18 months. She originally went in for respite after a fall, but decided she felt safer and stayed. The home is very homely but run very professionally. The staff are caring and encourage my mum to socialise with other residents but allow her to have her own space when she needs it to rest. The medical support is excellent, having a Sister visit every Wednesday and the staff always ring me to report back on test results and consultations. The manger is knowledgeable and reports any change in my mother to me. She runs a very happy home and the staff work well as a team. My mother is very settled and comfortable at Hillcrest.
Excellent care by all the staff of my Mother-in-law. Communication with us was also very good.
My Mum has been at Hillcrest for almost two years. She has been well cared for during this time. At the end of her life she was treated with dignity and necessary professionals were brought in to be consulted regarding care. The care home gave us free access and dealt well with this most difficult time for us as a family.
My mother is well cared for and is very happy and content at Hillcrest. The staff are amazing. They are very professional and caring. Communication between myself and the staff is very good. I am kept informed of any issues regarding my mother. I am pleased my mother is well cared for and safe at Hillcrest.
She is well cared for, kept well-informed on all matters concerning her. She is kept clean and tidy at all times, she's happy and content there which she is, in her own way, just having bad days at times. Happy for all the care she is receiving, and safe.
My sister and deceased husband have been residing at Hillcrest for 3 years. My sister's husband passed away just over a year ago, I cannot fault the care they have both received in Hillcrest and how the care of my sister still is over and above as things can be very difficult with her, she is very happy there and everyone is very professional and very caring, I am kept informed on a regular basis and any issues discussed. I can only speak highly of Hillcrest.
Mum has been a resident since 2022. She has dementia and is 96. Hillcrest is a warm friendly welcoming place. Staff are always on hand to help. Mum is very well cared for and feels loved and valued. Management staff are always ready to listen and help. They care both for the resident as well as the wider family.
My mum has lived at Hillcrest for nearly five years, she is very content and I am extremely impressed with the high level of care she receives, the staff are very friendly and professional, Mum says the food is excellent and receives a lot of loving care, I would totally recommend Hillcrest.
Always found the staff excellent and caring not only for my mum but also in the support to myself - knowledgeable and caring. My mum is happy and well looked after and supported. I am kept informed by telephone if Mum has any issues Mum has hairdresser and chiropodist visits as required and is attended by nurse call-outs if she is struggling with anything.
The care my mother has received has been the best, she is so well looked after nothing is too much for them from the manager down to the care staff. My mum has been there since June 2022 and I can’t thank them enough for the way they look after her.
We cannot fault the staff at Hillcrest Care Home they are so caring and so lovely with mum. She was very unsettled when she came in and they have made every effort to settle her in and make sure she is comfortable.
My mum has been at Hillcrest for nearly 10 months now and I've found everyone to be welcoming, thoughtful and kind. The team of carers are attentive to my mum's comfort and individual needs and I feel there is genuine care for her well-being. It’s been a journey learning about my mum's condition and the management team and carers have always been there to offer sound advice when needed. It really does make such a difference knowing my mum is safe and cared for by the team.
As always every effort is made to accommodate the individual needs of residents. As well as providing a good standard of physical care, staff also recognise the importance of maintaining close relationships with family and friends. This home continues to provide professional support alongside kindness and gentle humour. Keep up the good work.
My mum has been at Hillcrest for 20 months now. A great weight has been lifted off my shoulders as an 'only' one. She is a much happier person now, being excellently looked after by a supportive team, comprising a manager, assistant manager, carers, caterers and cleaning staff. She recently had a blood clot and this was discovered by one of the lovely carers and immediate action was taken. I would not hesitate to recommend Hillcrest to any of my friends looking for care for their parents.
I rate Hillcrest very highly, my husband has been here over 2 years and is content. The staff are always cheerful and the care manager is superb with a most difficult job.
Mum has been a resident of Hillcrest Care Home for 2 years and I am very happy with her care. Management and staff are professional, caring, and devoted in their roles. I would highly recommend Hillcrest to anyone looking for residential care for their special family member.
As a family, we are extremely happy with Dad's care. We feel confident that staff always have Dad's best interests at the centre of his care. We find all staff very welcoming and informative. Dad is always very clean and smart. The food and entertainment are fabulous.
