View Full Details of Ingersley CourtFrom the first time I visited the care home I was made welcome by the manger who is a very genuine and warm and friendly person. She sets the atmosphere of the place and makes it a "Home" not a "Care Home" in its feel. She is an absolute asset to the place. The whole team provided and excellent level of care which manged to stay one step ahead even when proving end of life care. All of the staff worked together to provide support all of us not just the residents are forever grateful to the whole team.
I recently visited my 90 years old Aunt who has dementia which is quite advanced. The staff at Ingersley Court were very welcoming. It was heartwarming to see some of the staff were really quite young but had a lot of time and respect for the residents.
I always feel welcome and find my sister well cared for. I always leave feeling that she is safe and comfortable and that staff are doing all they can to provide a loving caring environment both for residents and visitors.
Ingersley Court has proved an excellent choice of local care provider for both our parents, despite their very different needs. They were accommodated in adjoining rooms, which helped support their transition from a much-loved family home. The quality of care is excellent at every level, from the carers, the cleaners, kitchen and laundry staff, the maintenance team and, of course, all the management. Everyone is friendly, caring and willing to go the extra mile. The home were compassionate with our dad (and the wider family) when our mum died in hospital this summer. Dad considers the staff as friends: he was delighted when the chef made him a gorgeous birthday cake, and he rates all the food very highly. He joins in with suitable activities but is also enjoys his private time and privacy, such decisions are always respected. Staff are diligent in keeping us informed re medical issues and appointments. Work has started on the new garden - it will be a wonderful additional facility.
Our parents moved to Ingersley Court in April 2024, as they were no longer managing safely in their own home. It was a huge upheaval for them to leave their house in Bollington where they'd lived happily for 27 years. Collectively, as a family, I think we were all nervous about the move! However, we could not have wished for a better placement for them, as Ingersley Court truly offers that 'home from home', experience. All staff are incredible! They have a genuine warmth and curiosity towards their residents and nothing is too much trouble. In addition, they are also highly skilled and knowledgeable at what they do. When our mum sadly passed away in July 2024, Ingersley Court were amazingly supportive to our family. For this we will always be extremely grateful. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Home Manager and team for continuing to care for our dad. It's been a tough few months, but we genuinely believe, we couldn't have done it without you! Thank you.
After 3 periods of respite care, we decided, when it became clear that our mother needed full time care, that Ingersley Court was the best place for her. The home is clean, well managed and the food is very good. The staff are always so warm, friendly and caring, to the families as well as the residents, and they encourage Mum to take part in many activities. She seems very happy after her first full month as a resident and I am confident that she is safe and well cared for at all times.
My last remaining auntie has been a resident of Ingersley Court for over five years, and the dementia she came in with has continued to progress. I did regularly take my mother to see her sister, and in the many times we visited over the years, the staff always seemed to be caring and diligent and the home itself seemed to be clean and well run. As a result she has been happy and in relatively good spirits (aside from the normal symptoms and frustrations of dementia). The staff have always showed rapport and ability with her and she reacts well to them and other residents. Sadly my mother passed in August following a stroke last year, so ever since, I've visited when I can, my auntie's dementia means she doesn't realise she's the last of the siblings, or that she also lost her son recently. She's my auntie and I love her - so I will keep going - and keep thanking the staff at Ingersley.
My sister had worked hard to arrange the best care she could for our father, who was experiencing increased difficulties with mobility and daily care. Both from the accounts of my stepmum and sister and from my own experience, the care my dad received while here was second to none. The staff's attitude was uniformly welcoming and friendly, and the attention to my dad's needs was thorough and professional. All my family commented on the helpfulness of the staff, and their willingness to contact us regarding anything they felt we needed to know. As my dad's needs increased, the staff arranged for him to be given a side room with an air-flow mattress, which greatly helped his comfort as his swallowing had become more difficult. Every effort was made to ensure he was well looked after, and his relatives were treated as human beings and included in his care wherever possible. I would like to express my deepest thanks and praise for such quality care at such a time in my dad's life.
Mum has been here since August 2023 and I cannot praise all the staff enough, they are absolutely brilliant with Mum and go above and beyond to make sure she is ok. Mum has Alzheimer's and was very against leaving her home but now treats Ingersley as her home and is very happy here. Thank you so much to all the staff.
I have found Ingersley Court to be a welcoming place with kind staff who are helpful to visitors. My friend seems happy there. My only quibble is that she sometimes has to wait a long time to be taken to the toilet due to her lack of mobility.
Throughout my cousin's stay at Ingerslet Court, I felt confident that she was in good, caring hands. The manager has a warm and friendly personality, which sets the tone for the rest of the staff, who are always willing to help. Any requests or problems received prompt attention. The decor in the rooms was attractive, and the food, from all accounts, was good. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
This was the first time I had visited my uncle and he looked clean and well looked after and happy. One particular staff member interacted on a personal level with him which made him smile. Everywhere looked clean, I didn't go in his room so couldn't comment on that.
My mum settled into Ingersley Court Care Home really quickly. The staff are all very kind and patient and approachable. I am always greeted with a smile and the carers always know where my mum is and tell me what has been happening and any activities Mum has taken part in. The atmosphere in the home is lovely with lots of laughter and smiles. The carers treat all the residents as individuals and are keen to know about the individual residents and their likes and dislikes and they do their utmost to accommodate everyone. We are very happy with the care Mum receives.
My dad has been at Ingersley for just over two months. It was a big move for him, and he was reluctant to go at the beginning. However, he has settled in so well thanks to the amazing care and kindness of all the staff. The staff have gone out of their way to get to know Dad and engage in lovely chats with him every day, often chatting about his favourite old pastime and profession, which he is still able to talk about despite his Alzheimer's. I am so happy we chose Ingersley. Such a lovely setting, with great meals, super stimulating activities and great personal care. All that we could ask for. Thank you.
My wife has been in Ingersley Court Care Home since 6th March 2023 and I have been impressed by the care she has been given and some of the activities she has taken part in. She has memory problems but can still remember quite a lot of things. I have been impressed by the staff I have met and my wife says the food is good. The only thing she does not like is being unable to lock her room door when she is in the lounge etc. She is fearful since things could be stolen.
My grandma has moved here from Kent, and as nurses, my mum and I are so pleased with the care and love she receives from everyone. Her room is beautiful and bright, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food looks and apparently is lovely and plentiful. The activities are great and there if you want to participate. Keep up the great work.
From the moment Mum arrived, she was made so welcome, every member of staff went out of their way to greet her and help her settle in. Mum came from independent living in London, so this was a major upheaval in her life but within two weeks, she has told us how happy she is and she doesn't want to leave. Whenever Mum needs assistance, there is someone there to help in next to no time. We could not be happier.
Having made the tough decision to move my 93-year-old mother from London to Bollington, we couldn’t have been more impressed by the welcome we received from the staff on our arrival following a very long train journey. She obviously was very anxious and upset at leaving her home and the area she had lived in all her life. Since arriving, we cannot give anything other than praise for this care home. The staff all treat her with such professionalism, empathy, kindness and love. Despite memory problems and deafness, staff go way beyond our expectations in ensuring she understands and hears what is said. She is enjoying her meals and interacting with other residents in the dining room. The activities are varied and accessible to everyone. We initially planned on a month's stay to see if she settled, yet after two weeks she has voiced how happy she is and made the decision to make this her permanent home. Thank you Ingersley Cout Care Home for making a difficult decision into such a positive one.
My father is in the late stages of Alzheimer's/dementia, I have cared for my dad for the past couple of years but sadly it reached the point where Dad needed care/company 24 hours which I cannot offer. Dad had always been reluctant to go into a care home but after visiting various homes he was ‘won over’ by the lovely welcome from the staff at Ingersley Court Care Home. The manager kindly offered my dad two weeks respite to see how he feels, Dad accepted the offer and when I took Dad there with his things for a couple of weeks, we were made to feel very welcome and that immediately relaxed not only Dad about staying but myself for feeling comfortable leaving Dad with ‘strangers to us’. I visited Dad a few times during his stay and he seemed so much calmer than I had seen him for a long time, he settled in straight away. All the staff are approachable and caring to both Dad and our family, Dad has decided he would love to stay there now which has been a huge decision for him but he is now much happier.
My cousin was a resident in Ingersley Court Care Home for eighteen months until her death there on the 20th of March. I visited Ingersley many times to see her during that period. All the members of staff made me very welcome. They showed genuine concern for my cousin and treated her with the utmost respect and dignity. Much care, kindness and love were given to her which she and I much appreciated. The management team kept me regularly informed in between my visits. Any questions I had were always answered in an honest, professional and courteous way. U have great admiration for everyone who works at Ingersley.
