View Full Details of Leycester HouseI have had a very pleasant four days here at Leycester House. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Meals were first class and I cannot speak too highly of my stay.
The staff are excellent and are certainly making the best of the dated surroundings. From the moment I started visiting my mother in Leycester House, they were friendly, genuinely seem to care about the residents constantly. Overall, a massive change to other places we have looked at where staff seem to be detached and just performing a job - at Leycester House they really do care.
My stay at Leycester House was made very happy by all the staff who cared for me very well. The food was very good and the activities were plenty at very enjoyable, always something to look forward to every day.
I wish to thank everyone at Leycester House for everything. I cannot find anything to complain or criticize about. All I can do is thank everyone for looking after me whilst I was with you. I have never been a patient before, and having been in other nursing homes as a family carer for my mother and father-in-law and my parents, I saw a few places where I refused to let them go there. Thank you everyone. I am at home and doing okay. Alone. Not easy. But coping.
In the eight days and sleepovers in between the hospital and recovering to walk around again this interim care home was ideal for my needs, as I had been in bed for four full weeks and not walking around at all. The good food and care given to me was excellent and although I missed TV/radio and my daily papers staff there wonderful to me and the food was excellent.
It is very well organised. Some of the staff should not work as a carer. It also needs modernising. In the room I was in the wash basin taps were dripping all the time. It was very clean.
Very pleasant welcome. Mam sat in a chair waiting for bingo. They try and do something different each day. To keep people aware. Afterwards we went back into Mam's room. She has a comfy chair and a stool for her legs. Then the tea trolley came round and we had tea and biscuits. Had a chat about Mam on the way out, very happy.
My mother has been here for quite a while and is very happy (she is ninety-eight). All the staff are very helpful and caring. There are plenty of activities for my mum to join in. She has three meals a day and a tea trolley comes round often during the day. Me and my family are very happy with the care and attention my mum receives.
I recently spent a few weeks in Leycester House for intermediate care. The care and kindness received were excellent. Nothing is too much trouble.
Whilst being a resident at Leycester House I have found the care to be very good. All my needs are cared for in a very professional way. While I've been here I haven't met one member of staff who I could take a dislike to.
I am not one for writing reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised with my welcome to Leycester House and everybody I met, staff and fellow residents, I got on with very well. If I have to return to care in the future, I would certainly ask to be placed at Leycester House.
Whilst in hospital needing six weeks of bed rest I was offered a room in Leycester House Care Home Mobberley as a 'step down' provider for four weeks. the room was small but clean and cosy with everything I needed, provided, for example, comfortable bed, adequate storage and washbasin, and TV and well fed. Towels and linen were changed daily and personal laundry done for me. Though the building and fitments were not luxurious they were well maintained and perfectly adequate. The jewel in the crown was the staff. despite the problems caused by covid the necessary absences of visitor, hairdresser, staff isolating at home, new residents confided to their room causing extra work, etc, the staff were cheerful, warm, and friendly, thoughtful and considerate professionals who went the extra mile. Typified by the off-duty staff living locally appearing in uniform voluntarily on Xmas morning to help to serve and celebrate the resident's Christmas Dinner.
I had very good care during my short stay there.
Dad was very happy in this home and commented on the kindness and cheerfulness of the staff "Always with a smile". He also commented the food was very good. Due to COVID-19 I never set foot in the home so can't comment on that, but was always satisfied with hoe the phone calls, Zoom etc was handled during a very difficult time.
I was treated well with very kind staff.
Staff were supportive and helpful. I felt they wanted me to get over my physical problems and they did.
The trained staff were very good with me. I had to remind some staff about the care I needed.
My mother came to Leycester House for respite care. When it became obvious that she would not be able to live independently in her own home, she was offered a permanent residential place. We were both very pleased as she likes the home, staff and feels safe here. I am confident that the staff can cater to her individual needs in a very caring setting.
I was taken to Leycester House from hospital after having a bad fall and fracturing badly my left wrist, I have already other health and mobility problems. I was treated so well and made so welcome by all the lovely staff, they couldn't do enough for me despite having lots of other residents to see to. Made my stay there so very pleasant and I was soon getting my confidence back. Many, many thank to these wonderful people, and the food'well', was delicious, always lots of choices. Thank you all at Leycester House.
Mum was given short term care after a fall breaking her wrist. Mum has been well looked after with good food mum says. The staff are amazing and do a fab job. Certain areas and carpets could do with an update and paint on the walls. Maybe make it a little more modern.
