I would never have believed that my dad would settle and be as content in a care home in the way that he has at Park House Care Home and Mews. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I am so grateful for the peace of mind I have now knowing Dad is safe and content.
My Mum was cared for at Park House from October 2019 until July 2022. I cannot speak highly enough about the care and kindness she received throughout this time. She was a very private lady and the carers appreciated and understood that and adapted her care accordingly. They managed the pandemic very well and the outdoor visits in the beautiful courtyard were very welcome after the lockdown. I would recommend Park House to anyone considering residential care for themselves or relatives as they treat every resident very much as an individual. There is a very low turnover of staff which allows the residents to become very comfortable and familiar with them all.
My mother lived at Park House from August 2019 through the pandemic until February this year. The home is welcoming and attractive with spotlessly clean, spacious rooms. The staff are friendly, caring and professional and their turnover seems very low. There seems to be a good balance between care and privacy. Communication with relatives was good, timely and appropriate. Like most people, Mum didn't want to go into a home but she settled in quickly and was very happy there. She said that she never had a bad meal and that there was never anything to complain about. The ratings reflect Mum's opinions as well as my own.
My father was cared for at Park House for the last 2 years of his life. I can only say that the staff at Park House are truly wonderful, compassionate, understanding and unbelievably kind. I witnessed every resident being cared for individually, the staff were remarkable in caring for Dad's needs. Thank you to everyone at Park House, you will never be forgotten by my family. We will never be able to repay your care and kindness.
As an emergency respite/permanent admission, mum was shown into a very pleasant room and my sister and I on first impression were very pleased following a huge urgent wrench from mum's home of 63 years! The staff are friendly, caring respect patient/resident dignity. When I can, I love to visit during the weekly sing-song sessions and visit approx 4 times/week. The staff welcome me as a friend and I can make us refreshments at times of my visit. Mum has adapted and amazingly well!
My sister required a safe, warm pleasant environment with caring, considerate compassionate staff and support her every need. She certainly got this at Park House Care Home and Mews. It was a clean and homely place with lovely 'home cooked' food - My sister said that it was 'home from home'. She sees the same carers day in day out so this has provided exceptional continuity of care.
My 92-year-old mother has limited mobility following a stroke 2yrs ago and has vascular dementia. After a series of falls, we started looking at nearby Northwich care homes. Some of them I wouldn't put my worst enemy in and not all will cater for dementia. I was looking for several important things: 1) No smell! Park House is bright, clean sunny and airy. 2) Adequate staff on duty. There are always several staff on duty all the times I have been there. Nobody has to wait to be taken to the toilet or left in wet clothes. My mother is checked hourly in the night. 3) Friendly familiar staff. At Park House many staff have been there many years and some have daughters come to work there. It's a family run home. Staff will acknowledge her or stroke her hand as she has difficulty communicating.
The home has a lovely atmosphere where the staff are always welcoming. The senior staff are helpful especially with any resident concerns and care enquiries. Care is dignified and centred around the resident's needs. This is regularly renewed and updated with consultations to the family and resident as necessary.
