View Full Details of Albert House Residential HomeI am writing this review to highlight the excellent care and attention that my godmother has received at Albert House Residential Home. The whole staff are excellent, supportive and caring. For the 3.5 years that my godmother has been in their care, I couldn't have wished for a better overall experience for her. I would definitely recommend Albert House to anyone who is looking for full-time care for their relative.
I'm happy with my mum at Albert House Residential Home. I feel she is well cared for. She is always dressed and clean. The staff are very patient and treat her and the other residents with respect and dignity. Mum has had issues with ulcers on her legs and the home has cared for her ensuring she has the medical attention she needs. I would definitely recommend Albert House to other families needing care for their loved ones.
I am very pleased with the care that my mother receives at Albert House. She is very happy with her room, the communal areas, and especially the constant and thoughtful care provided by the staff, which is also always in evidence when I visit. I am reassured to know that Albert House is offering her the best support and comfort.
Friendly staff greet me on entry and are helpful when needed. Kind and professional with mum. The meals and snacks look good and Mum seems to enjoy them. I have occasionally felt like staff are a bit stretched although, unfortunately, this seems to be the case in most professions nowadays.
Dad has been in Albert House since July 2023. It became impossible for him to live at home alone any longer, due to Alzheimer's disease, he very quickly settled in, he seems very contended in Albert House, he has never asked to go home, he's put weight and and loves the food, the staff are all amazing with him, and he sings their praises all the time, it's a very happy place and always clean, it's such a relief to know that he is happy and so well cared for. Albert House is very homely and all the residents are so well looked after.
Albert House has been my mum's home for four years. Since her Alzehimer's diagnosis, the care she receives from the manager and her team is excellent. Whatever time of day we visit, Mum is clean, comfortable and very well cared for. The home is a very happy place. They have partied on a regular basis with entertainment, and the residents love them. All the food is homemade.
This is one amazing care home. The staff, including management, all are just unbelievable. I have not had a lot of experience regarding care homes but if they are all as good as this one, wow!
I visit my mother-in-law regularly. She appears happy and comfortable. The management and staff are great. Warm and friendly.
My mum has been a resident for over eight months. The care she has received has been nothing but excellent. Albert House Residential Home is more than a residential home, it is one big, caring family. The staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. My mum has been very happy here. The support both my sister and myself have been given, as Mum's condition changes, has been amazing. The manager and staff... you are all one in a million!
I have found Albert House to be a caring, warm, homely, friendly environment and my mum has settled well. The staff and management really care. I have peace of mind knowing this and I visit regularly 4 to 5 times a week.
Our mum went to Albert House on the 4th of April 2020. She has been on end-of-life care for 2 years with Alzheimer’s the manager and all the staff are fantastic with her she’s treated with dignity and respect she can’t walk now but I’ve just seen a video of her they got her in a chair she’s trying to sing and swaying her arms. Absolutely fantastic and looking so happy. I can’t recommend Albert House enough. You're all stars thank you.
My mum went to Albert House for the final year of her life having lived 'independently' (with a lot of family support) in her own flat. Though physically frail and starting to suffer from dementia, she was nevertheless very strong-willed, determined and highly resistant to being 'assisted'. No care home could have coped with her better and worked with her personality as well as the staff and management, always with good humour and genuine care and affection for her. The home is not modern, though that is one of its strengths and there is a sense of family between the staff and residents. As a family, we are so grateful for the care she received.
From day one all the staff at Albert House have been amazing in helping my mum settle in and feel welcome from helping her with her recovery to now being able to return home, Nine months have flown by and I know she will miss everyone. You are all superstars. Thank you for everything.
My husband moved into Albert House Nursing Home in October 2022, during that time he couldn’t have been and is still being looked after by all the staff clinical and non-clinical who are all amazing. They treat him with care and dignity and cannot do enough to help him. The manager and assistant manager have helped not only my husband but have also helped me personally. I would highly recommend Albert House.
My father went to Albert House following a period in hospital and immediately settled in there. The team are outstanding and in the end, we preferred to let him die in the home surrounded by people who actually do care rather than in the hospital. I will be always grateful to the team there as they allowed dad to pass away with dignity. Thank you.
The staff and management at Albert House go over and above to keep my godmother safe, comfortable and best of health mentally and physically. Over the Queen's Jubilee weekend, they had singers, afternoon tea and a carnival day. My godmother was sat outside in the sunshine watching all the floats going past down the road.
Mum has been in Albert House just over a year and we can honestly say that right from day one, the management and staff could not have done any more to make my mum at home, safe and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble - they are all kind, caring, and professional at all times. The best care home by a mile and we would highly recommend to anyone. Keep up the good work!
My Gran absolutely loved her time at Albert House and knowing she was happy and well cared for made a huge difference to us as a family, particularly as the majority of her time there was spent during lockdown. The level of care given by all the staff was exceptional.
Kept well-informed during a difficult period. Always seemed well-staffed. Always clean and tidy.
Fantastic personal service. Family atmostphere. Community spirit. Home-from-home. Complete assurance during a challenging time that my mum was cared for when the family reached the stage they needed extra help.
