View Full Details of Arnside LodgeMy lovely dad suffers from dementia, and the decision to no longer care for Dad at home was a difficult one. However, his transition into residential care has been made much easier by the lovely staff at Arnside Lodge Care Home, who have been excellent in helping Dad to settle. Staff are approachable, and communication is welcomed. We are given regular updates and have been involved in Dad’s care planning. Dad is treated with respect and kindness. Arnside Lodge has been Dad’s home for five months now. He is happy and safe and we are confident that he is in good hands and that we made the right choice for his continued care.
Today is National Day of Reflection for the Covid year. I would just like to thank all the staff at Arnside Lodge for keeping our loved ones safe and well cared for through this pandemic. It must have been a nightmare and it isn't over yet. It has been heartbreaking not to be in there with them for so long, almost eight months in my case, but my only consolation is knowing that he has the best care available. Everyone looks ahead to a time when visiting can resume as it was before. But until then I know they will continue their caring role and will make the lives of those who live at Arnside Lodge the best they can be. Thank you, everyone, for all you do to make this a residential home to be proud of.
Dad has coronavirus and like thousands around the country, I am worried and scared for him. However, I can sleep at night knowing that he is far safer here than anywhere else. He will be safe, fed well and encouraged when possible. When we clap for the NHS on Thursday nights I hope the carers, managers and staff here know that I'm clapping for YOU!
I have looked at a few care homes for my elderly friend who suffers from dementia and Arnside Lodge is by far the best I have seen in the area. The rooms are so comfortable and furnished to a very high standard. The level of care is second to none. There are daily activities and music of the era the residents can relate to and sing along to. There is even a purpose-built hairdressing salon which means the residents feel they have been out to the hairdressers. The sensory garden is wonderful and is easily accessible yet secure for the residents. There is a choice of menu every day with fresh food cooked to a very high standard. All medication is taken care of and there are regular visits from the optician and chiropodist. All in all this is the highest standard of care home in the area.
