View Full Details of Bank Hall Care HomeMy friend has lived in Bank Hall Care Home for almost three years. I have to say, the staff are fantastic, very caring and friendly. Plenty of outings and activities should they choose to take part. They are all treated as individuals.
Dad was admitted into this amazing care home about three months ago. He was very poorly for the three months previous to this, in and out of hospital. He has found a new lease of life with the staff here and 24-hour care! I, together with my husband and grown-up children, visited my dad over last weekend. On Sunday, the Pimms and strawberry afternoon was amazing and enjoyed by everyone! This was certainly a magical memory for me. Thank you activities coordinator for making us feel so welcome and putting smiles on to everyones face. Good luck to the manager on your return - Bank Hall Care Home is a credit to you all! Thank you.
My very good friend came to live at Bank Hall Care Home in February 2024, I did have a very unflattering view of care homes, people sat in circles in, a smelly environment. Bank Hall could not have been more different. always clean and being cleaned, my friend's room was lovely and spacious. Being a lady who loved clothes, a larger wardrobe was brought to her room to accommodate all her clothes. There are activities, such as the baby and toddler group, my friend loved babies all her life, bingo, crafts, films, a gardening club, concerts and trips out. The dining room looks more like a country pub with a very varied menu made by their chef. Relatives and friends can visit anytime and are encouraged to be involved with Bank Hall. The staff were kind and willing to answer any concerns raised. I cannot speak highly enough of my friend's care.
Mum came to Bank Hall nearly 3 years ago after 4 months in hospital with a broken hip. She had lost a lot of weight and was struggling to learn to walk again. Since arriving at Bank Hall she has learnt to walk with her frame again, put her weight back on and built her strength up. All the staff have been loving and caring and contributed to Mum's happy well-being. Mum is happy with her cosy room, the food is lovely and she loves joining in the activities. Thank you to everyone at Bank Hall for looking after Mum so well.
Mum has been very tired this week, only waking briefly when sleeping again. The staff have been very attentive with her, also giving me reassurance that there was nothing to worry about. The staff do an excellent job, will always go the extra mile even when short-staffed. Mum was very uncomfortable one day during my visit, the carers took her to the bathroom, changed her paf and all her clothes, then showered her. She returned happy, fresh and ready for food. The temporary manager has converted the area near reception into a coffee bar - great idea for residents and visitors. Looks lovely and very welcoming.
Bank Hall Care Home is a really good care home provider. My dad has been there for over eighteen months and had multiple health and social issues. The staff have gone above and beyond to support his needs during that time. Luckily, he has now improved in all areas and doing well. The staff are friendly, engaging with the residents. The food is of good quality and plenty of it. The home itself is clean and tidy in presentation and well-decorated. I can honestly say I rest easy knowing my dad is at Bank Hall.
My wife is a resident in Bank Hall Care Home at the present time and we are pleased with the service she is receiving. How long she will be a resident, we are not sure.
The review is not for a specific time but on the whole, there is never any regular communication from anyone as to how loved ones are managing in the home, be it either positive or negative. Also when activities are planned, when are they being held? as some relatives might like to join their loved ones for a sing-song or afternoon tea. If there is a special birthday, is this marked in any way? If it is, would it not be respectful to let their relatives know about it, giving them the option as to whether they could attend and mark the occasion together? These are just a few things which could add up to a more positive experience for relatives whose loved ones are in a care home.
Overall the standard of care is good but Scarlett Ward nearly always smells of urine. Also, communication is improving but families need to understand what is happening the next month, for example, as well as reading on social media what happened recently.
Excellent standard of care. A staff team that cares for the residents like their own family. A warm welcome on every visit. From senior care staff, to the wonderful housekeepers, each plays a part in making the home feel special.
I am very pleased with the care that is provided for my mum. She always looks well cared for and her personal appearance is always good. I feel the staff offer not only care, but a loving, safe environment, and I feel they make it like home for my mum.
My mum entered Bank Hall care home in March 2021 from hospital after a fall and breaking her arm. She is 97. Her care has been excellent from management and staff. The facilities are excellent. She is comfortable and settled which is a relief to me. I would not hesitate to recommend Bank Hall.
The staff were all very helpful and made our most recent visit to see our cousin a pleasure. The staff go that extra mile to ensure everything is OK. The gardens at the home were well maintained and all the residents seem quite content.
Bank Hall Care Home is a caring environment and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Communication can be a slight problem regarding the dementia residents as these residents are not able to pass information to or from the care home. Mum seems as happy as she can be given her dementia and inability to understand her condition. I am happy for her to be in the home.
My mum has been residing in Bank Hall Care Home for over 4 years. She has been treated so well and looked after by the staff of Bank Hall I can not thank them enough. I can not recommend Bank Hall Care Home enough to anybody found in my family's situation with mum, to have their loved ones to stay there. Thank you for taking care of her as well as you have.
My Great Aunt has been residing at Scarlet House in Bank Hall since Feb 2020 after previously being in 2 other homes in the Burnley area. I can honestly say that I sleep much better, have no stress and have no regrets about moving her into Bank Hall. Unfortunately due to the Covid situation since March 2020 I have not yet been inside her room but I have been able to enjoy visiting in the very clean and inviting visitors room for a 1-2-1 visit when allowed. The staff are absolutely amazing, always make the effort to make that not only is Aunty comfortable and happy but that you are too, every time I request information I receive it within a few hours. On a more important note my Aunt's well being, behaviour, outlook and cleanliness have improved so much, she has become her old happy self. I can not speak highly enough of the staff and the care they have given and shown each time I visit. I would not hesitate to recommend Bank Hall for your loved one.
My wife has only been in care at Bank Hall for approximately 3 months, during this time she has been looked after very well by the staff in Scarlet House. The most important thing is that I feel she is in a safe environment. Her room and communal area is cleaned to a high standard and I am very happy with the care provided.
Care caters for my needs.
First impressions, very clean and fresh. Staff lovely and caring. Always staff on hand looking after residents. Residents treated like family and all seem very happy.
My mother was moved here and I noticed a big change straight away. Staff are very friendly, caring and helpful. I am very happy for my mum to be here and would recommend to anyone.
