View Full Details of The Brambles Rest HomeI don't often write reviews, this being the exception. Brambles was always welcoming. Staff very caring, considerate and treated Mum with respect and dignity. It is a clean home and does not have that 'old person's home' aroma. The food was well-prepared, plentiful and wholesome. We were kept up to date with Mum's condition on a regular basis and safeguarding was paramount. Her room was homely with its own ensuite and always tidy. We would not hesitate to recommend The Brambles Care Home.
I found the care home clean, and the staff were courteous, engaging and ready to support. From the door, they directed me to an appropriate place to sit and we discussed extensively about the residents and the needs, and this gave me ample information already. They supplied all the administrative and clinical information about the resident, and the medications chart. The resident appeared well looked after, and reflected this in my assessment also. That was helpful and the resident also happily contributed to this in my questioning. I see that the home is well-staffed and well-managed and that offers quality support in the manner of approach and this is well suitable for the resident's healthy living.
Very good staff. The manager who is also very good does every request he is asked to do. Excellent food and caring staff.
Our experience of The Brambles Rest Home is overall excellent. The staff are always very friendly and helpful with a pleasant welcoming atmosphere at all times. Any issues are promptly dealt with by either the carers or management team.
From my first meeting with management I was impressed and reassured that the care I was looking for to be given to my wife would be provided. I find the home is well-managed, staff and carers respond to residents' needs, they are always on hand to provide care, the meals, good food, well-washed clothes and medical care all well done. The home is well-managed, staff and carers respond to residents' needs. It is good to know The Brambles want you to treat the home as an extension to your home.
My brother has settled in very well at The Brambles. We are very happy with the care he is given. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.
Lovely care home. Very clean. Management is always very helpful with any problems, paperwork etc. Carers are always pleasant and courteous. Lovely peaceful setting and lovely outside space.
I was concerned about putting my mum into a care home, and she has absolutely blossomed, chatting with all the staff and other residents. Her bed is always tidy, and the food suits her to bits. A big thank you to two particular staff members and to all the other staff who manage her care, it's been so well handled.
My father lived in The Brambles Rest Home for eleven months and was happy and settled there. I appreciated the fact that you could visit the home at any time you wanted and this also gave me confidence in how the residents were being treated, as staff couldn't 'put on a show' for visitors. I feel there has been an improvement in the running of the home since a change of management a few months ago, the young deputy manager being particularly impressive. When Dad became critically ill, they looked after him so well and supported me during Dad's end-of-life process. In the early months of Dad's stay, I had a few issues but the management listened to my concerns and for the most part, they were resolved. The Brambles is not the swishest of care homes but the staff are caring and respectful and that is the most important criteria for me. Thank you to all involved in Dad's care, your kindness, patience and respectful treatment of him was a great comfort to me. Keep up the good work!
I can't thank the staff at The Brambles Rest Home enough, they went above and beyond to look after my mum. My mum went to Brambles in January 2023 with dementia, she was 90, from the first day she went in I knew I had no worries about her care, the staff treated her with dignity and respect, the staff always informed me if there was any change in Mum. Mum had her 91st birthday, the staff were amazing, a lovely cake was made for Mum with everyone singing Happy Birthday, Mum loved it. Mum became ill in November and had to go hospital, I was told she only had a few days, The Brambles let me take Mum back to the home where I spent five days with Mum before she passed away. The staff were amazing and not only looked after Mum but also helped me get through the last few days with Mum, I can't thank you enough for what you did for my mum.
From the start of the process of finding a care home for my mother-in-law, The Brambles Rest Home were excellent. From ringing to enquire about a vacancy to going to have a tour around the home, they were so welcoming and explained in detail their services. The management came to our home to assess Mum's capabilities at this stage of her dementia, they were with us for about an hour going through in detail all the requirements for the stay at The Brambles Rest Home - very professional with that friendly touch. Mum moved in two days later, into a lovely en-suite room with a beautiful garden view. The team at The Brambles were both warm and welcoming. Also, what impressed me, they were all very smart in their uniforms. Overall, I highly recommend The Brambles Rest Home at New Longton
Mum has only been at The Brambles Rest Home for a short time but she has been shown exceptional kindness and individual care by all the staff. It was a difficult decision to move Mum to a home, in awful circumstances, but The Brambles team have done everything possible to ease the transition and make Mum and us feel welcome.
The Brambles is situated in a quiet, rural location in pleasant grounds. Access and parking is good. It is a fairly modern home with purpose-designed facilities. The management and staff are kind, caring people who take good care of the residents in a dignified and respectful way. Visitors/relatives are made to feel very welcome. All food is prepared on the premises to a high standard. The home has a five-star hygiene rating. It is the best and most pleasant home I have visited.
Mum has dementia and has been living at The Brambles for about three months now. I (and my siblings and wider family) are very happy with the care Mum is receiving. The management and carers treat Mum with kindness and care and clearly want her to be comfortable, happy and safe. I am very happy that Mum is where she is and recommend The Brambles Rest Home, without reservation.
My mother was cared for by the team at The Brambles from August - October 2022. She was well looked after at what was a difficult time for Mum. We as a family, would like to thank the management and staff for Mum's day-to-day care.
The home is lovely and bright and comfortable, set in lovely countryside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My mother's room has an ensuite, so that was very important for me in picking a home for her; if it felt comfortable for me on the first visit, then it would be comfortable for my mother. She is very happy there and says that the food is really good and plenty of it. Went to a tea dance there, which she and myself enjoyed. Would definitely recommend it.
Excellent care home, my father and family are always made welcome. We have been kept informed of his progress by the caring friendly staff. The rooms are ensuite and comfortable. Thank you to the home manager for providing support to myself. Thank you to all the team for the excellent care shown to my father. Keep up the good care you provide.
The Brambles Rest Home really is a special place. Every member of the team (management and staff) has been lovely and welcoming and really does care about Mum’s wellbeing. Mum has Alzheimer’s and the care and attention that has been given to Mum and the family has been very reassuring and comforting, as it was a very difficult decision to move Mum into a care home. The Brambles Rest Home is so homely and has a fabulous big lounge overlooking a beautiful lawn. All the meals are home-cooked and they have a lovely little community. Thanks to everyone for being so kind and caring and we are truly grateful for the excellent care every one of you gives to our Mum. Many thanks from all the family.
My parents spent a week’s respite at The Brambles Rest Home and received excellent care and support from all the staff and management team. They thoroughly enjoyed the company of other residents at meal times and have come home feeling like they’ve had a lovely break. We have been able to relax knowing that both Mum and Dad were receiving the very best care. The Brambles provides a varied meal plan which both my parents enjoyed and the staff are very attentive to the resident's needs. Would definitely recommend and we will be booking more respite care in the future. Thank you to the manager and all staff.
My mother entered the home in the latter part of 2021 and stayed until she passed away in April 2022, aged 101 years. Throughout this period, she received excellent care. In particular, during the last weeks of her life, the care staff and management did all they could to make her comfortable. Carers often altered or amended shifts to sit with her, indicating that there was real, as opposed to token displays of care. When she passed away, my husband and I were treated with care and respect by both management and staff. A comforting experience at a difficult time for us.
