View Full Details of Willowbrooke Residential Care HomeI would highly recommend Willowbrooke. Residents, and their families, are treated with kindness and compassion, dignity, respect, care and professionalism. You feel like it is a home away from home, and you feel like one big family. My grandad enjoyed his time in Willowbrooke, and I know he was safe and well looked after in every way - in mind, body and spirit. I felt all his needs were met, and nothing was too much trouble. The staff are friendly and lovely. I am glad we chose Willowbrooke for Grandad, and I know he was glad too.
My husband was admitted in February this year. He came for two weeks for respite. I was struggling to take care of him and my health was deteriorating. He went into Walton House initially and I was not happy. From the first visit to Willowbrooke and the staff I felt the pressure taken off me and all the staff are lovely. My husband is now in the right place, he's looked after, comfortable and as well as can be expected. Thank you all.
Exceptional care home, family environment, staff the best you can get, loving and caring, great food, amazing activities, everything is the best you can get. Supportive to the family. Cannot recommend highly enough.
I am happy to have found Willowbrooke Residential Care Home for my mum to live. The home is always welcoming, clean and today. All the staff are friendly and helpful and put a lot of care in the day to day living of all the residents. There s always activities to do and there are outings and visits from entertainers. Can only thank the staff for all they do.
Staff very friendly and professional. Dad was originally placed at Willowbrooke Residential Care Home for rehabilitation. Relieved when social service agreed to a permanent placement. Dad is happy here and well looked after. He enjoys the activities, the company of others and the food! It is reassuring to see Dad comfortable, happy and safe. The staff are kind and caring with a good sense of humour.
The care home is wonderful. All the staff are approachable and friendly. It is spotlessly clean, the users are well-fed and cared for. There are always activities going on from flower arranging to playing dominoes.
Knowing that Mum is safe is the most important, the staff are friendly and attentive. It's important for Mum to remain as independent as possible, which the staff show i.e. via choices and options. She is always invited to join activities and respected if she chooses not to. At present, she does not need a lot of intervention, however, I am sure if she needs more care and attention it will be delivered.
It was a difficult decision placing Mum in 24-hour care. After viewing several care homes, Willowbrooke ticked the box in many cases. The contact call to arrange a visit was friendly and informative and pleasantly reassuring. Mum settled in, care staff are friendly and pleasant, seem interesting with residents in a positive way. Activities are available most days. They seem to know Mum and provide updates. They are seen to know Mum and provide updates. They are responsive to our requests and provide a safe place.
My mum has been at Willowbrooke Residential Care Home for over a year now and over that time we have got to know the staff and other residents more and more. The management and staff are very dedicated to their jobs and care for the residents with dignity and compassion. My mum couldn't be in a better place. Thank you all.
Fantastic all round. My mother has been in Willowbrooke for just over a year and has been really well looked after and cared for. Very friendly staff and excellent all round. Thank you all.
Willowbrooke Residential Care Home is a hidden gem. The staff have treated my mum with care, dignity and love, and it stands out for everyone who visited her to see. We, as a family, felt reassured with the service and professionalism shown by all staff. We can't thank them enough.
My mother-in-law was a resident at Willowbrooke from September 2021 - July 2022. When she sadly died, the team of staff were always so kind, caring and supportive. They worked tirelessly to keep residents safe during Covid, which was a great comfort to our family. Willowbrooke was always clean and comfortable and provided a really friendly and welcoming environment for residents and their families.
Mum went into Willowbrook in early February 2022 as her mobility had deteriorated and she could not live independently We were all very anxious about the move but with the help and support of the staff she has settled in well and enjoys most of her days there so much so that she has asked us to sell the family home Naturally both her and us would prefer her to be in her own home but Willowbrook provides a safe, caring environment for her and is the next best thing to her own home
Mum started living at Willowbrooke in June 2021. Manager spent ages talking to me and my husband about the care. They have delivered what she described. DNR sign on the bedroom door is a great idea. Fantastic mobile alarm systems that move with the residents. Staff are friendly and helpful. Queries about care is answered and implemented. Great digital care used when Mum was poorly; to monitor her situation. Mum (has dementia) had mentioned many times "I'm lucky to be here", must be a good sign! Manager is always willing to talk. Lots of activities and a great Facebook page. GP clinic is also held weekly.
From the first phone call to enquire about availability for Mum, I felt that the staff took a great deal of pride in making families feel comfortable. Their professionalism and the support I have received from all the staff has helped immensely through the difficult situation of having to move Mum from her own flat. Within a few hours of my initial phone call, Mum began her residence. She has been made to feel comfortable and loves the staff. The home is welcoming and clean and I would recommend it to any family.
Staff helpful. Had to go and see Mum through a protected window. Mum is aware of her surroundings and is able to chat via a mobile phone, so we could hear each other otherwise it would have been extremely difficult. Home is always warm, clean and smells nice. Staff seem kind and helpful. Never have a worry about leaving her.
Outstanding Care provided for our Aunty. As an independent 91-year-old, Aunty had selected Willowbrooke as her care home of choice. Though wary at first, she was restored to health and fitness by The Manager and the team to the extent that she was able to walk out with Staff to and from the Post Office in Lostock Hall. The careful nutritional support and psychological care were highly skilled and complemented the overall coordination of her personal needs with that of her health care needs. The Care team have an effective and productive relationship with the local community nursing service, pharmacy service and GP practice which enabled Aunty access to medicines, reviews of her occasional health problems and psychological support in the last year of her life. Aunty was very particular about her requirements being met and always voiced her opinions/expectations. Aunty was very happy here and enjoyed her 92nd birthday amongst people she had come to know and trust in her final year.
Sadly our Mother died at Willowbrooke this January. The care she received was extraordinarily good; it really was home. One of the best decision we ever made; was placing Mum at Willowbrooke.
My aunt spent almost 4 years in the care of the excellent staff at Willowbrooke. She was partially blind, but she could walk to the bathroom with a little help and she was encouraged to walk. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The carers, cooks and cleaners, they all treated her with kindness and dignity, she considered herself to be a very lucky lady. The staff at Willowbrook gave my aunt far more than what money can buy, she felt loved and like one of a family. I could not recommend the care home more highly than I do, a wonderful caring residential home and I cannot thank all of them enough.
Our lovely mum recently passed away at Willowbrooke Care home. During the 11 months that she was a resident, she received amazing love and care from all the staff. We cannot praise Willowbrooke enough for their dedication, care, respect, hard work, but most of all love. They all treated our mum as if she was their own and cared for us as a family with such compassion from the moment she arrived, to her passing, funeral and afterwards. We will be always grateful that we found Willowbrooke, as it made the last year of our mum's life more bearable. Thank you.
