View Full Details of Greenways Rest HomeI am very happy with the care my father receives. The actual home is wonderful. It is a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff are amazing. They are kind, sweet, always smiling and very thorough in their work. Just wonderful.
My mum came to Greenways in May 2024. The family felt confident that Mum would receive the care she needed whilst being in a friendly and safe environment. As of November 2024, Mum has settled in really well, enjoying nourishing meals, activities and creating bonds with kind people outside of the family. Her recent care plan highlighted the attention to detail taken in the care provided to her throughout the day and night. She is settled and happy, visits are welcome so we couldn't ask for more.
My dad was well looked after, the staff are very caring, keeping him clean and treated with dignity. My dad wasn't very mobile so didn't get too involved with the activities but the staff would encourage him, sing with him, joke and have lots of banter with him, he likes the staff very much. The rooms are clean but some are dated. The food was satisfactory but not spectacular. However, the main effort was the attentive nature the staff showed my dad was exceptional.
My stepdad moved into Greenways earlier this year and from the first moment, I went to view the home. I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere there. Always plenty of staff who actively engage with all the residents. Everyone is friendly and approachable, they work hard and are always smiling. They genuinely appear happy in their work. I feel very confident in their knowledge and awareness of his needs and I'm always kept informed and updated of his welfare. He has settled really well and is happy.
To all the staff at Greenways Care Home, all the family of the resident wish to thank you for all the care you gave him while in the care home. He will be missed by everyone. Many thanks again from his family.
Dad is comfortable at Greenways and is well looked after by the friendly staff. All the staff are caring and attentive to the resident's needs in a care home that is made to feel like a home to the residents.
My cousin has been a resident at Greenways Rest Home for approximately two years due to advancing dementia which combined with other health and mobility problems made it impossible to continue looking after her in her own home. I cannot praise Greenways too highly. I am always struck by the kindness and patience of the staff not only in their dealings with my cousin but also with other residents which I have observed when in the communal lounges etc. The management of any organisation sets the tone and the manager of Greenways and her senior team are incredibly warm, friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Crucially they do not shut themselves away but are visible and accessible to their residents, to visitors and importantly to the rest of the staff. There is a friendly team spirit, a mutually supportive atmosphere which is crucial in such a physically and emotionally demanding job. I am very grateful that my cousin is in such a homely and caring environment.
The staff are all extremely professional and caring. All staff do an amazing job, nothing is too much trouble. Thanks again to everyone caring for my neighbour, keep up the great work.
Our Mum was looked after very well at Greenways Rest Home, the staff were always very friendly and helpful and attentive to our Mum. Mum made friends with a couple of the residents and would happily sit and chat every day.
Mum was at Greenways Rest Home for several years after it became impossible to care for her with Alzheimer's at home. Mum loved it there, the food was great, the staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. When we visited everyone was so friendly and provided excellent care. Sadly, Mum died at the home in April and the care they provided was second to none. You can really tell how much the staff care for the residents. They even attended Mum's funeral and were clearly upset about her passing. I cannot thank all the staff, management, carers, chefs and domestic staff enough, you have been brilliant throughout Covid and beyond. Absolutely amazing.
My wife spent five weeks for rehabilitation there, the staff were caring and pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was clean. Highly recommended, food was excellent. I would like to thank everyone for their excellent work.
I cannot begin to say how amazing this home is. My mum was in for 6 weeks of rehab following her hospital admission. All staff were outstanding and absolutely amazing and my mum loved it there. Thank you to everyone at Greenways.
Following surgery and illness and at the age of 94, Mum was discharged from the hospital to Greenways for a period of assessment. She was found to require 24-hour care at a higher level and was sadly not able to return to her own home. Mum was cared for sensitively and diligently by the lovely team at Greenways. Each and every member of staff that we saw were kind, caring and thoughtful in their care delivery, supported when needed by the district nurses. We were kept informed by the manager or senior carers and we were allowed to visit the home within Covid limitations. We found there to be a very caring ethos at Greenways and this was apparent in all the members that we saw during Mum's time with them. They were also very supportive of the family. This was particularly helpful around the period when Mum sadly passed away.
My 94-year-old mother was discharged from the hospital to Greenways Rest Home for assessment following a fall in her own home which resulted in a broken shaft of the femur. She remained mentally alert until her death. She suffered from a wide range of chronic conditions which she had battled with for many years. The assessments showed that Greenways was well placed to meet her needs and I fully agreed. As her daughter, I was given all the information I asked for and was able to visit her with safe Covid practices. From the beginning of her stay, all the staff in the home cared for her with sensitivity and very able practical skills. Although she only lived for six weeks following her serious fall, she told me she was comfortable and confident that she was being well cared for. She continued to dream of returning to her own home at some point but she became increasingly comfortable with the excellent end of life care she received until she passed away peacefully.
My grandma has been at Greenways for a few months now and she has really settled in. The staff are so friendly and I can see my grandma as much as I like through the window and a visit with the restrictions. She always looks well cared for and she always says how nice the food is. Thank you to everyone!
I am staying at Greenways for six weeks respite and the care was outstanding, and the food was lovely. The only thing is the home lacks a tuc-shop ad I have mentioned this to the manager who is very helpful, and he has assured me he is going to put one in place and thanked me for my input. Thank you Greenways for your care and support.
I have been a resident for around one year. The staff are very caring and make me feel at home. My room is cosy and decorated to how I like it. I am very happy here and love everyone.
I haven't been able to visit my uncle due to the pandemic and coronavirus. I was thrilled to be allowed to come and visit him. My uncle looked well cared for and full of life. The home has a new manager since I last went to the home, and the manager was approachable and friendly. I could see and feel a positive vibe through the home and I was very impressed with the new décor. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work during such a terrible time.
Obviously, I have not seen much of my mother during the past 12 months, but when I do speak to her, she always assures me that she is well looked after and that she is warm and the food is good. The staff keep me informed of her wellbeing and they are very obliging. There seems to have been a higher standard of care during the past few months, which I am sure must have been trying, given the Covid situation.
Mum has been at Greenways Rest Home for almost 12 months now, she was constantly being visited until Covid struck, we always found Mum to be clean and tidy, warm and well fed. Mum seems really happy there, the staff are always looking out for her and ensuring she has her music etc to keep her calm, happy and smiling, as she suffers from Alzheimer’s and gets really agitated and upset. During the pandemic, the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure their residents are safe and well, and I have no doubt given up their own free time to help, which is truly appreciated by my family and I am sure by the families of all the residents. They’ve all been our saviours, as Mum was no longer able to stay safely at home, we know all too well how hard it is as we looked after her for quite a few years, day and night, absolutely amazing staff!
