View Full Details of Hilton Rest HomeI have had a short stay after a stay in hospital. I have found the staff very helpful and extremely approachable. The food first class. I would recommend to friends and family, I have enjoyed my stay. I have enjoyed the activities that the home provides.
After my grandma recently lost her independence post fall, now requiring 24 hour care it's lovely to know she's happy with her new "home from home" and has settled in really well. As a family we appreciate all the staffs caring hard work you provide which we have encountered when visiting. Not just for my grandma but all the other residents too. You all work very hard, it does not go unnoticed and we really are grateful. My eldest son, 9 years, was encouraged to help and get involved with the activities which were taking place when visiting his great grandma. This was lovey for him to engage with other residents of the home and he says the activities are "really cool".
My Grandma moved into the Hilton Rest Home after 12 months of health issues including falls. I feel reassured that she is being well looked after by a fabulous team. She has settled in the home well and is enjoying having other people around and has made friends. She has told me she enjoys the food and has reluctantly been taking part in activities such as armchair exercises that will be beneficial to her.
This care home has been a blessing in disguise for mum. We were reluctant to place her in a home but it was the right decision and I cannot praise the home enough. The staff are amazing, always bubbly and happy and it's obvious they love their jobs and are always bright and caring with the residents. You never feel unwelcome and visits are always comfortable and staff ensure you are made to feel like one of the family. Mum is happy, which is the main thing of course. And the Christmas party was ace!
Our relative, my brother in law, uses Hilton Rest Home currently for respite. I researched and studied online reports and made 6 unannounced visits to care homes on this basis. My brother in law has Parkinson's disease, MLD and developing mobility challenges. The Hilton Rest Home has demonstrated a true empathy and understanding of my brother in laws personal profile needs. The previous manager and current manager have shown patience and support in meeting community based activities during his respite placements. We are currently waiting for a single occupancy room for our brother in law, he loves the staff, has made a number of friendly and talks constantly about the Hilton when he isn't there. He loves it there, he is happy we are delighted!
My 81 year old mother has been a resident at Hilton Rest Home for four years, after suffering a stroke, all the staff are very caring and professional, and attend to all my mum's needs. They make sure her medication is correctly taken, it is always clean and warm, and there is always a good smell coming from the kitchen. It is not an ideal situation but my mother chose the Hilton as my father was also a resident in his final few years.
After a short stay in hospital, my Dad wasn't fit enough to go home, we decided it would be better for him to go into a care home just for a few weeks, something he had always been against, but he agreed to give it a try. Since being in the Hilton he has put on weight and he is happy, he loves the food and the staff are great, really friendly and caring, he is also walking better. He has now decided he wants to stay there. The home is clean, no bad smells and a lovely atmosphere.
The Hilton Residential Home has recently become home for our mum. The management and staff team have supported us to make a difficult decision, they have answered our questions and treated our mum with dignity and respect while she settled into a completely new lifestyle. The home is a small group of people which gives it a homely comfortable feeling with always enough staff on hand to ensure the needs of people are met in a timely manner. There is a lot of fun and laughter from both staff and the people who live at the Hilton and I always feel welcome when I go to visit and always go home feeling my mum is safe and cared for.
Mum has been here now for six months. Prior to moving in, we thought she hadn't long to live. She was in very poor health and couldn't walk. Six months on and she is doing really well. She has gained weight, is walking short distance and her health has improved significantly. Most importantly she loves the staff and we as a family, are very happy with her care.
Mum has been at the Hilton Rest Home for a few months now and is treated with dignity, respect and compassion, as you would expect. The size of the home was a factor during our search and the feeling of calm on entry really helped. The team are wonderful, hilarious at times, very welcoming and are happy to answer any queries/questions you may have. They like family to be involved. The home is clean. Food choices are varied and home-cooked. There are daily activities for those wanting to take part - give the armchair exercises a go. I would 100% recommend the Hilton.
I looked into this home for my mum for a 2 week respite period at very short notice, after ringing to check availability I was asked if I would like to come down and take a look around, my first impression was that there was no awful smell and that the staff were very helpful, polite and they were interacting with the other residents in the lounge, this instantly put me at ease. After further medical diagnosis, my mum is now a permanent resident and I cannot speak highly enough about all the staff and management as they have made a difficult process so much easier, they are all very approachable and make you feel very welcome. My mum has also commented on how happy she is and how much she is enjoying being there which again is down to the caring nature of all staff.
The best part of this home is the staff, they truly care about those they look after. Our Gran has lived here for over 5 years now and the love she is showing and care given allows us to feel safe and peaceful about her being there.
Hilton Rest Home! What can I say - it is the perfect place for my sister to reside! My sister has been resident at this home since October 2021 and she could not be in a better place. The complete team at the Hilton the care staff, manager, and domestic and kitchen staff are all warm, friendly, and responsible within their roles. My sister receives excellent care with all her needs catered for to exceptional standards. Privacy and dignity are a main priority at all times as is the happiness and well-being of all the residents who are respected as individuals. My sister has mild learning difficulties which was and continues not to be a problem for the staff, she easily settled in the home and is very happy there. A new manager was employed last year, she has made many changes and improvements to the home providing the residents with improved facilities and decor, all areas have been upgraded and my sister's room is lovely! A pleasant "home" from home keeping my sister safe!
On arrival at the Hilton myself and my father were made to feel very welcome by the staff on duty. The home overall was clean and tidy with no 'smells'. His bedroom was cosy, comfortable and inviting. He was also very happy with the menu and said there was a good choice on offer. He thoroughly enjoyed his week of respite care and is looking forward to coming back in August. Keep up the good work Team Hilton!
My Mother is in the Hilton Rest Home. She is 102 age. When you walk in the care home it is very clean there is no smell and the staff are really nice people and the manageress is a really nice lady and even the lady who owns the care home is lovely they even have our chef there to do the meals and on a nice day those who can sit outside, they will take him out into the garden all in all I wouldn't want my mother anywhere else but the Hilton Care home.
On arrival you are made very welcome, the staff are friendly and confident, My dad usually has a daily paper but hasn't bothered with it as he says 'I don't need it, there's enough going on'. He complimented the menu saying that there was a good choice on offer and especially liked the banana milkshakes. His bedroom was cosy, clean and comfortable. His care needs were met with a very high standard of person-centred care. Dad thoroughly enjoyed his week at The Hilton and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this care home for respite or long-term care. Well done Team Hilton.
The home provided my sister with a place to live following a hospital stay. She had complex needs and was met with a caring, consistent approach by the staff and manager. The care offered in the home is fabulous. The manager is understanding, compassionate and approachable. My sister could not have been better cared for.
My dad had to go into the Hilton Rest Home in April due to his dementia and care needs escalating. Myself and my family have been extremely happy with the care he has been given. The staff go above and beyond to support him and meet his needs. Thank you for giving my family peace of mind, knowing my Dad is looked after and cared for means so much.
When visiting my father I received a very warm welcome by the staff members as i arrived before I got to see my father I was offered a cup of tea and biscuits, which is very thoughtful. My father is very well looked after he was clean-shaven and smartly dressed and he is very happy in himself. I could not be happier to leave my father's care in the hands of Hilton rest home
My mother has dementia, mobility and health issues. After several hospitalisations, the time had come when she needed 24-hour care. Mum was resistant to any care package and adamant that she was capable of living on her own and refusing residential care. Having no power of attorney, this was a sensitive situation. We visited Hilton Rest Home it had a nice homely feel, was spotless and the residents and staff seemed happy and friendly. We met the manager, an experienced and empathetic lady, who discussed life at the home with us. After a few challenging weeks, mum started making friends and joining in activities. She is helped with her personal hygiene and continence, wearing clean clothes and sleeping in her bed. Mum enjoys the homecooked meals, plenty of snacks and drinks. Mum is a different person and our relationship has improved. We are really pleased to have found Hilton Rest Home as we know she is safe, in a loving and caring home and treated with respect and dignity. The staff are kind and approachable.
