View Full Details of Kepplegate HouseMum only became a resident of Kepplegate 2 months ago and already we really appreciate the staff's care and devotion they have shown to her. They are quick to notice any health problems and prompt to act on them. They have been meticulous with their covid prevention system and that has paid off with no cases of covid in the home; a record to be proud of. They offer a wide variety of entertainment from bingo, singing, and special celebrations all aimed at keeping the residents engaged. Thank you to all the staff.
I have peace of mind that my mother is receiving excellent care. She has excellent food and she is entertained. The staff are wonderful and I would not hesitate to recommend Kepplegate to any friends and family. My mother is very lucky to be receiving such expert care.
Dementia is so hard to watch in your mum, each day taking memories away. When it's time for her safety finding a home to leave your loved one in, is so very difficult. Kepplegate House made this decision so much easier, welcoming mum and us into their family, to a safe and happy environment. All this made so much harder with Covid going on as well! With dignity, professionalism and a lot of empathy they guided us all through a very difficult time. Thank you all so much.
Our mother was admitted to "the family" after some heart-searching feelings, being a large family with different thoughts, but I'm so happy that she has settled with you so comfortably. Your care is second to none and you have made us all so happy that we made the right decision. Thank you all so very much for your thoughtfulness and care.
We really struggled with our emotions about putting Mum into a care home, but after having carers coming in for a few months we realised she needed 24-hour care. We asked around and Kepplegate House had the best feedback. We are very happy how Mum is treated and she seems to have settled really well. They call them family and treat them as family.
The staff and management are all fantastic, nothing to too much trouble. My friend is so happy in their care and has improved mentally and physically. The hygiene standards are above and beyond, all the staff are very approachable and helpful.
My Mother had been cared for at home by Kepplegate for over two years. Following her stroke in hospital, she was discharged to our preferred preference, Kepplegate. This was during the time of the COVID-19 virus. Kepplegate liaised with the hospital to make sure Mum was COVID free before the transfer took place. She then had to spend two weeks in isolation but she was given a room that allowed visitors to chat with her through the window. The care she received was very good and they dealt well with her limitations. We were then allowed to have socially distanced visits, by appointment, in the porch area once we had been checked and I was allowed to take her little dog so long as there was no physical contact. That meant a lot to her. She said the staff were very kind. After a few weeks, Mum was receiving palliative care and that was excellent. Again we took her dog in and we had access whenever wanted. We were cared for as well as Mum. I really appreciated their 'can do' ethos.
My mum moved into Kepplegate last December, and I have nothing but praise for both the home and the staff. Mum settled in really well thanks to the dedication of all staff to ensure her happiness and safety at all times. The staff have kept us fully up to date during the coronavirus crisis and have ensured that the safety, happiness and health of all the family, there is always paramount. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kepplegate.
My brother was a resident of Kepplegate for 17 months till his recent death. For all the time he was resident, he was cared for in an exemplary manner. The home is well maintained and the food is good. Some things that make this home stand out are:- Staff show care and compassion at all times - the feeling is one of a family of residents and carers. The management demonstrates a continual striving for improvement. The management liaises closely with resident's family holding regular meetings where developments are discussed and debated. Residents are treated with respect and dignity. The staff are kind and demonstrate empathy and caring for the residents.
