View Full Details of Longridge HallMy dad came to Longridge Hall to look round, he was made to feel so welcome by one member of staff in particular and to my surprise he said he wanted to stay. And he has settled really well which is down to the lovely staff and caring environment. This all makes us a family feel we have made the right decision.
I am thrilled to share my experience with Longridge Hall, in Longridge. The staff and facilities are truly amazing. The care provided is second to none, ensuring that every resident is treated with the utmost respect and compassion. Special mention goes to two staff members who consistently go above and beyond their job descriptions. Their dedication and kindness make a significant difference in the daily lives of the residents. The environment is warm, and welcoming, and feels like a true home. From the excellent facilities to the exceptional staff. Longridge Hall stands out as a beacon of quality care and community spirit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a caring and supportive environment for their loved ones.
My mum went into Longridge Hall for dementia care in December 2023. The level of care has been incredible, not only the support offered to my mum, but also the information provided by the care home staff. There is a warm feeling when you walk in and you can see that the staff do all they can to meet the complex needs of the residents.
My mum has been at Longridge Hall since 2022, I have always found the staff approachable, helpful and very friendly, senior staff and management have maintained high level of communication. Mum is always happy and well cared for.
My relative was fortunate enough to be offered a room when she became unable to live alone at home. This move, although reluctant, has proved to be a great success. The care has been exemplary. The carers remember her visiting her sister when she was a resident. This has given pleasure and reassurance that she is an important person. She is treated with great dignity and gentleness. The chefs visit her each day to ask what she would like for meals (she has Irritable Bowel Syndrome and has to be careful what is eaten). This kindness is greatly appreciated. I have found the office staff to be friendly, approachable and knowledgeable about my relative's condition and keep me fully informed. I cannot recommend Longridge Hall highly enough.
Mum has been in Longridge Hall for a while now, I have a great relationship with the lovely staff and always feel I can voice any concerns with the management team. I am very impressed with Mum's level of support with personal hygiene showers/bathing etc. There is a good variety of activities for each resident and we love to help with the jigsaws in the quiet lounge.
We couldn't be happier with the care given to my Father-in-law at Longridge Hall. The rooms are lovely, all with private en suite, staff very caring and knowledgeable, variety of homemade meals, activities, entertainment, trips out etc. The staff are like extended family, they know each resident really well and can tell immediately if one of them isn't 'quite themselves'. Communication is great too, which is very important when you aren't with your loved one all the time. I'm very comfortable asking questions, the staff are very open and helpful and regularly go above and beyond. We are very happy and lucky to have my Father-in-law in Longridge Hall for his senior years where we know he is safe and cared for.
When I first came to Longridge Hall I was apprehensive and wondered what it would be like. I quickly discovered that all staff members were both cheerful and most helpful. I feel all staff deserved a gold star for the care provided. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who needs it, I would be very happy to return when needed. The room was exceptional very high standards, very spacious and had its own en-suite with wet room shower. I also had room service until I got used to the home.
Some staff are excellent and the support from the local nurse practitioner is outstanding. The activities programme was good but seems to have all but stopped. The downstairs dementia unit needs refurbishing.
Longridge Hall have been caring for my Grandad for almost 2 years. He started out on the main floor and has recently moved to the dementia unit. The care he has received has been outstanding. Longridge Hall has be come my grandads home and the staff his extended family. He is happy here. Not only this but the support our family have received from the team, managers and medical assistants has been great. He has always been treated with respect, fed well and had had two lovely rooms. There is no where else that we would want him to be.
The staff and management are absolutely wonderful. Their attention to detail, care of the residents and care of visitors is second to none. The care they gave to my husband's father and to us all as a family, during his final moments was humbling. They showed respect and compassion at all times and looked after us as a family whilst we were with him. My mother is also at Longridge Hall and has been a resident for two years now. She has always been treated with kindness and respect and we couldn't be more grateful for the care she is given. We are always welcomed when we visit. The home is open for family and friends to visit whenever they need to which has brought us great comfort, especially in those final sad moments with dad. The staff communicate with us constantly about the well-being of our loved ones and let us know immediately if they have any concerns. My only issue is the lack of armchairs in the day room downstairs. There isn't enough for all to sit in there in comfort.
We have been very happy with how well Mum seems to have settled and how much she enjoys and feels safe in the home. The staff obviously know and understand Mum. Mum's room is particularly nice being filled with light from the front.
Very happy with Mum's care after reluctantly putting her in for respite. Two months on Mum is still in Longridge Hall as I am confident that the caring staff take good care of her. Longridge Hall has a very friendly homely atmosphere. The staff make Longridge Hall.
I would like to thank the whole team at Longridge Hall. Our family. Mum has been a resident here for 13 Months. Is very happy and settled. Mum has mixed dementia. Needs 24/7 support. I am an only child. Sadly lost my dad last year. Find it very emotional seeing Mum progress. But me and Mum get so much care love and support from the team. Keep up the fabulous work everyone. We all need you. Best wishes.
The care given by all staff at Longridge Hall is excellent. They are very caring and know their residents well. The staff are well led by the manager and deputy managers. The seniors in the dementia unit are very knowledgeable and are happy to answer any requests or queries. The communication is excellent. I am very pleased that we chose Longridge Hall for my dad.
My mum went into Longridge Hall in late June 2023. I must admit I was worried, having heard and seen how some care homes are run. I needn’t worry! My mum can be difficult and hard work sometimes, but the effort the staff made to make her feel welcome and safe, made a big difference. I honestly didn’t think she would take to it, but she has. The care is very well structured and organised. They managed to get her up out of bed a lot more than I did! Two members of staff in particular genuinely care and always know what my mum has done and how much she has eaten. There are procedures to make sure residents are regularly checked and a database for each resident. To sum up it’s a good nursing home for one reason, all the staff really care. Thank you.
Dad and I were made very welcome from the onset. The staff are caring, friendly and professional. Dad says he is happy and well looked after. He enjoys home-cooked food and his diabetic needs are always considered. Housekeeping staff ensure he has clean clothes and bedding and his room is clean and tidy. The activities are varied with no pressure to participate. I was aware that one of the activities coordinators had left her employment but will be replaced. I have found the manager and carers to be very helpful and considerate demonstrating kindness, understanding and knowledgeable care.
Exceptional home all round, wouldn’t have my mother in another home. The staff are all very attentive, professional and helpful, nothing is too much for them. Always lots going on with activities, my mother has enjoyed several trips out too.
When the sad day comes when your loved one, in my case my 92-year-old mum with Alzheimer's disease, cannot carry on in their own home, then you have to be careful when choosing a care home to look after their individual needs. One hears horrific stories of negligence, abuse and humiliation towards old infirm residents. You will not have such worries with choosing Longridge Hall Care Home. The manager and all her staff are simply brilliant. If you grade them out of 10 I would give them 10 and 10 bonus points!
My husband has been a resident at Longridge Hall for respite care and is now permanently due to dementia. He has been made very welcome, and he is happy and settled. The food is excellent. The home is well-staffed, and all the staff are caring. The premises are excellent, and the quality of the furniture is also excellent. It is nice that the residents do activities and are sometimes shown on their website. Thank goodness we can now visit again.
