View Full Details of Marsh HouseMy family was delighted with the love, care and attention that was given to my mother on her 100th Birthday. The party that the carers hosted for my mother was truly amazing and it was wonderful to see my mother so happy on her big day. Clearly the carers at Marsh House go above and beyond to make the residents feel special and cared for.
Staff call to let us know how my mum-in-law is or if she isn't well. The staff are amazing, very caring, responsive to residents. Our old girl has never eaten so well, she loves being there. I don't think there is anything the home could do better. I know Mum is safe and cared for, she is clean, her room is clean and her bathroom.
They have just held a Gala Day to raise funds for the entertainment they have at the home. All of the staff are great they came in on their day off, and all took part, so good with the residents. Cannot praise them enough.
Best care home, with lovely staff and management and very safe environment and good appetite residents, get all their needs and are looked after. Very clean and homely environment, Marsh House is really a home to all residents.
Love this place, well run, clean, lots of activities and the residents are so looked after, they look happy and content. I will come here when my time comes. Hats off to everyone who helps with the running of Marsh House.
My father is a resident of Marsh House and is very happy with the care he receives. He is fully cognisant but struggles with his mobility. The staff are wonderful and care for him as if he was a member of the family. The carers have some banter with my father as they know he can take a joke - and he can dish out some teasing as well!
Marsh House is a gem of a place. The care and attention to detail is second to none. We are all treated like a member of a large happy family. Regular daily updates on a social media page keeps us up to date on what our loved ones have been getting up to. 100% care and effort from all members of staff what a joy.
My family member was made welcome from day one, as were all the immediate family and visitors. Visiting is never a problem, no matter what time of day we arrive. Residents are encouraged to participate in regular activities. Food and drinks of a good standard, and if needed, outside of normal times. Nothing is too much trouble.
Care for my mum is excellent. Mum has dementia and can quickly become confused. This is never an issue, and every member of the team shows genuine care and love. She is always happy!
My nan lives at Marsh House and I was very impressed with the staff. I was greeted by the handyman who knew everything about my nan including when she had a nap and when she went for walks. The chef was then helping the handyman move some heavy furniture. This stood out as I could clearly see the strong and collaborative team at Marsh House. The staff clearly look after the residents at Marsh House and go above and beyond. I was very impressed by the birthday celebrations and cake that the team put together for my nan.
Amazing care for my nana. She is happy here as are the other residents whenever we visit. The staff go above and beyond to make sure she is well cared for physically and mentally.
Lovely place. Friendly staff who can't do enough to help. Always smiling. Always happy. And the management isn't too bad either. But on a serious note, they are so helpful and keep me up to date with everything.
My mother-in-law has been in the care home for 10 months, and I/we have been very happy with her care. She is very well fed and looked after, especially as her mobility is very poor, one of the factors towards her becoming a resident. She needs two staff members to wash and move her around the home, but this is well managed, although she gets impatient when the staff are busy with other residents. There is also an excellent laundry service. Her room is a very good size and light, which is really helpful for her poor vision. She has very limited vision but they include her in as many activities as possible, and if they are musical or singing she really joins in. The staff have been responsive when we have requested medical intervention, although getting through on the phone is not always easy. Overall, the staff are dedicated and work very hard. They know their residents well and treat them with respect in a very busy and demanding environment.
Both of my parents became residents of Marsh House in January of 2024. We couldn't have wished for a more homely and caring environment. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are comfortable and well cared for. The activities are varied and stimulating. The staff seemed to have got to know my parents very quickly and learnt their likes/dislikes. As soon as I walked into the home for a look around and met the staff, I immediately knew it was the place I wanted my parents to be. and we haven't been disappointed.
My mother-in-law loves living at Marsh House. The staff are great with the residents. There is a wide range of activities for the residents, which the staff do with them. There's never a dull moment at Marsh House. Highly recommended.
Mum's been at Marsh House for approximately 18 months. It was difficult for us at the beginning. We really wanted Mum to stay in her own home. Unfortunately, this wasn't possible with her health issues. It took us some time to get used to how the care home runs, and made our fair share of complaints. To which staff and management listened and changed Mum's care if appropriate. The manager and second in command are extremely approachable. The rest of the team work really hard looking after the residents. Marsh House activities have most definitely improved in recent months since a change in the activities coordinator. A massive thank you to all the staff at Marsh House for looking after Mum.
My wife has been here nearly a week. We are very satisfied with the care she is receiving. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. We are extemely happy she is here.
My mum loves it at Marsh House and we can all see they are doing a great job looking after all the residents. There are always fun activities and they encourage participation. Friendly, down-to-earth staff too. Thank you.
Mum arrived in August 2023, following a lengthy stay in a step-down facility. Mum had deteriorated during this time in terms of her capacity, mobility, reduced independence, mood and general wellbeing. I knew as soon as I stepped through the doors of Marsh House that this was 'the one'. The staff at all levels are incredible: passionate, professional, caring, hardworking and skilled, even the maintenance guys know and engage with the residents, it's truly a delight to see the staff team operate together. Mum has bounced back and continues to blossom in all aspects of her health/well-being. I couldn't be more grateful to the staff who have encouraged her independence and movement. The team consistently go the extra mile, even supporting me with the transition, to make this the incredible home it is. We now spend our visits giggling with Mum and her stories of fun activities and staff interactions. All care homes are not the same. 5 stars Marsh House! I hope I can come here one day.
After being discharged from the hospital into a nursing home for assessment, I felt that wasn't where my wife would continue to improve. I was informed of this home, and after a walk around viewing, I felt that this was more suitable, so transferred here. Within days, my wife's general state of mind improved, and soon after, her health improved to where she began to blossom and enjoy life again; this is down to the attentive staff who all care about their work, ensuring the resident's well-being, care support is the priority,y yet a sense of fun is always present in all they do. In the short time she has been there, this feels right.
