View Full Details of Meadow Bank Care HomeMum moved into Willow House at the end of September 2024. Since moving there she has been much happier and more relaxed than when she lived at home. Sometimes she is a little confused about where she is and thinks she's on holiday in The Lake District. I think this is a good illustration of how content she is at Meadowbank. In her younger years she spent many happy holidays in the Lakes. When I visit she is always nicely dressed and her room is clean, as is the communal area. The staff are friendly, welcoming and engaged with the residents.
My husband + I really enjoyed the valentines afternoon tea + party. Everyone was clapping, dancing + singing along with the singer, who was very good. We all enjoyed the lovely buffett tea and the room looked great, decorated in a valentines day theme. Thank you to the organisers, it was a great afternoon.
What an amazing celebration for Valentine Day. The staff certainly pulled out all the stops to make it special for all the residents and their loved ones. It was first class - the decorations the buffet - the entertainment. I cannot find enough praise for everyone who made it possible and so enjoyable. Well done & thank you.
Mum was only with you a short time but was happy whilst there. The staff were lovely and caring with a nice atmosphere.
Fabulous experience. The home is a credit to the caring profession from top to bottom. Such a comfort to know Dad will be looked after with lots of love.
My mum has been a resident in Willow House at Meadowbank for about 18 months now and in that time she has been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. She settled in very quickly which I was concerned about as she was already settled in a lovely care home, but as her needs increased it was no longer the right place for her. The staff in Willow House were so welcoming and friendly so the transition was seamless. Mum has several health conditions and concerns but the staff are always very prompt in making sure she has her medication or if needed, has further medical attention. Willow House is a lovely homely place with fresh and modern decor. The rooms and communal areas are always tidy and clean. They have a full programme of activities and events and the atmosphere is always very positive and pleasant. The staff always look happy to be there and have a genuine rapport with the residents. Mum is very well cared for and I couldn't be happier that she is there.
Lovely staff doing a great job, so so happy with the excellent care my mum is receiving.
My Aunt is being well looked after and the staff are friendly and helpful.
We have always found the staff very helpful and courteous while we are visiting my Aunt.
Hi, my mum has been a resident of Meadow Bank Care Home Preston for the last 10 years. Recently though she has deteriorated quite a lot. Myself and my sister live abroad so we cannot always be there unfortunately so we do put our trust into the carers and management that she will be cared for. Unfortunately, we have found that her care has been severely overlooked. Recently she was taken to hospital with severe dehydration which was due to not drinking and eating enough plus a urine infection. Surely this is a basic requirement for residents. I have been to and spoken several times to the carers at the home and also emailed but have had no response. The lack of communication is shocking. I agree our circumstances are slightly different not living in the country which is all the more important to communicate. I was not informed about my mum this time and have never been informed on other occasions when she has been taken to hospital or if she is ill.
Staff very kind and helpful but sometimes communication was not as good as it should be between different shifts.
The manager and staff are amazing, caring people, always kind and smiling. Very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The carer is very helpful and kind. All staff are wonderful and treat residents with love and respect.
Staff are brilliant.
Each time we have been to Meadow Bank the atmosphere has been so friendly. The staff are amazing, genuine and caring.
Excellent facilities, kind and helpful staff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Meadow Bank to anyone who needs care.
When needing advice and information, management has managed to help in a way I understand. Also, all the staff are incredibly welcoming to visitors. It is lovely to see the smiles and kindness shown to the residents in their daily lives.
Cannot praise highly enough!
From day one Mum was treated with care, dignity, kindness, respect and support. Nothing is too much trouble, all the staff are friendly, approachable and caring. There are activities of some kind every day. The food is excellent. The home is absolutely spotless and mum's room is lovely.
My sister transferred from another home and the staff were very supportive from day 1. She was initially agitated, but after a few days settled down. On all my visits staff have been forthcoming to me on any incidents or general behaviour. Also always lots of staff on duty and nothing seems to be too much trouble. I have observed them interacting with other residents and always upbeat, friendly and professional. Overall in sometimes difficult circumstance, a happy, pleasant atmosphere.
Dad unfortunately didn't have the best start to living in care establishments and as a family, we were uncertain of the move to Sabrina unit at Meadowbank. How our thoughts have changed, Dad has totally settled into life in Sabrina aided by a particular staff member and all the staff there. The care they show Dad is 5* and handle his changing needs with dignity and respect, and are so welcoming to us as a family when we visit Dad. The unit has a homely feel to it, and I'm so glad we didn't let our past experience with other care units influence us to let Dad go. Thank you is a small part of how grateful I am for knowing Dad's looked after.
