View Full Details of Ribble Valley Care HomeI have found the management and staff all extremely helpful. My Mum who is 90 years old and suffering with dementia has settled very well. There is lots of activities to keep her stimulated. She is kept safe and clean and is always dressed in her own clothes. We as a family feel she is in a safe and supported environment.
First impression when walking through the front door - what a lovely, clean, bright inviting environment. I knew this was the right place for my Mum to spend the last years of her life. The staff are kind and caring, up to date with resident's needs and nothing is too much trouble. Lots of socialising in the day room and lots of daily activities during the week. My Mum has a new lease of life. Wonderful team!
My dad is happy and settled at Ribble Valley Care Home. The home is well-managed and the communication is good. All the staff are kind, caring and smiley. They know my dad and respond well to his needs. The home is in a beautiful location. It offers a range of activities including visits to the pub, visiting singers, theme events, and playing games. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a residential setting for a loved one.
I selfishly moved Mum to be closer to my home. I was worried she wouldn't settle but the location and general feel of Ribble Valley Care Home helped me decide, as well as the clear experience and professionalism of its manager & staff. It's been a positive move on every level. Mum is well cared for and has made new friends. Her room is gorgeous with views of the river and is always clean and tidy. Most importantly, the staff are not only kind - as they were at the other care home - but seem to be less stressed. I know working as a carer must be incredibly hard, but good management shines through. The activities are good and Mum is taking part more and more. Finally, the food is excellent. Home cooked. And whilst mum will always be picky, the fact she's put weight on - rather than continuing to lose it - speaks volumes. It's taken the stress off me as I don't need to travel as far to see her and I know she's being looked after. Yes, it costs more, but you get what you pay for.
Mom really enjoys her time at the home. She is extremely well cared for and her individual needs are considered and supported. The management and staff are kind, thoughtful, experienced, having extremely good communication skills and the ability to manage when the most trying of situations with respect. And good judgement. We're really pleased and value the care afforded to Mum.
My father is very happy and settled at Ribble Valley Care Home. The level of care and kindness he receives is excellent. The kindness also extends to me and my family. As well as the staff being kind and helpful, the home is beautiful inside and outside. Always a lovely, warm, friendly atmosphere. I would thoroughly recommend Ribble Valley Care Home.
My mum has been a resident for nearly four years. She is very happy, and the care she gets is first-class. There is such a warm, welcoming atmosphere whenever I go. The staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful. The location is idyllic and peaceful. It is an absolute pleasure to visit my mum and see the staff and the residents. It’s one big happy family!
My mother has been a resident for two years now. It’s a very friendly place and the staff are excellent. My mother says she likes it, so that’s a plus. Would recommend to anyone, especially the hairdressing facility!
From the moment we came to view Ribble Valley Care home, we were so impressed with the care, support, kindness, humanity and thoughtfulness of the staff towards our elderly relative's needs and the situation we found ourselves in. There is a wonderful homely feeling, which is enhanced by the person-centred approach to the individual needs of our elderly relative. This is also coupled with sensitivity regarding how difficult it is, and has been, for us as relatives in accepting the changes in circumstances and needs of our lovely mother, as her dementia progresses. Ribble Valley Care Home is definitely the right ‘home’ for our loved one at this stage of her life, as the managers and staff are enabling her to have the best life possible and be happy, despite the challenges she experiences through Alzheimer’s.
The family have been very impressed by the kindness and care shown to my mother-in-law since she moved into the Ribble Valley Care Home in Sawley two months ago. She has settled in very well and is very appreciative of the help and attention she receives. We receive a friendly welcome from the staff whenever we visit and they are always helpful. The manager and her deputy have helped us to deal with administration issues, such as arranging appointments, and make themselves readily available. It is a huge relief to know that my mother-in-law is being so well looked after in her new home. Very well done to the whole team, you are wonderful.
From the first time I contacted Ribble Valley Care Home to make an enquiry, I was impressed by the level of care, knowledge and understanding shown. Staff really helped my mum to settle in when she left hospital and moved in and the level of care, support and kindness continues to be outstanding. Although busy, staff always have time time to answer our questions when we visit. Mum is really happy living there. We can't thank you enough; your obvious passion for creating a happy, caring and comfortable environment for older people shines through daily.
Mum appears to be happy and very well cared for by staff and management. I have noticed a marked improvement in her level of engagement since new management was installed and since she started to eat solid food again.
My experience of the care home is very good. My mum has been there for eighteen months and seems really settled. The staff are lovely and very dedicated. There are a lot of activities going on. Overall we are very pleased.
Visited my auntie and she seems so happy and settled, thanks for all your hard work. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful for both me and my auntie it's really reassuring. Also, the location is stunning.
Mum has settled really well at the care home. The staff and management are very caring and loving towards her. They are very patient and understanding of mum's needs. Mum seems happy and I feel she is safe and well looked after. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.
Right from the start, Mum and the family have been welcomed with kindness, understanding and dignity. Mum settled really well, in fact, much better than we ever expected. The diversion provided for Mum when her confusion increased has been varied, appropriate and professional. The family have been welcomed and included in Mum's ongoing stay. Well done, team Ribble Valley.
My mum has been at this nursing home since October 2020, after having a major operation she felt that she could no longer manage at home anymore. Mum had some concerns about going in a home and losing her independence, but these were short-lived. She settled in quickly with the help of the manager and staff who were amazing, so kind, patient and were spending quality time with her, nothing is too much trouble. During lockdown, staff have helped mum with skyping us both and done her hair and nails, all of which have made a difficult time easier for her. Her room is beautiful, everything is coordinated and she has all her personal things around her. The choice of food is plentiful and varied.
Brilliant service, very caring staff. Our friends stay has been well managed and he has been very happy.
I am so happy to be finishing my life in this lovely home. I am so well looked after.
I can't praise the management and care staff enough. The level of care, genuine kindness and frankly, love they showed my father was astounding. He was there for two weeks of respite for my mother and received a very warm welcome, as did she when she visited him, and excellent care, particularly given his challenging health issues. Then Covid-19 and the restrictions around it kicked in and his period in the home was extended to protect him and my mother from the higher risk of infection of being back at home with carers visiting twice a day. Within a couple of days, he was diagnosed with pneumonia (not the virus) and spent his last days there. He could not have been in a better place. My sincere, whole-hearted and deep thanks to all the staff who ensured he was as comfortable as possible, who cared for him with all they had, despite the many additional challenges they had both at work and in their home life, due to these exceptionally difficult times.
