View Full Details of Holcroft GrangeAfter a lengthy hospital admission, the staff at Holcroft Grange supported the transition from hospital to residential care fully with facilitating preadmission visits, informal look around to mum-in-law spending a day and then having a trial week (which actually never ended as she elected to stay!) Since coming to Holcroft Grange mum-in-law has flourished which is a joy to see.
Holcroft Grange has provided a safe, friendly, warm and caring environment for my mother since her arrival six months ago. The level of care she receives is superb, the staff are kind and attentive, there is all kinds of activities going on every day based in Holcroft and the local area, plus coach trips out. I can honestly say that Holcroft has given me peace of mind when it comes to the care and safety of my mother.
My dad is at Holcroft Grange - been there for over a year. He is very happy and living life to the full. The entertainment is fantastic, seems to be something on every day. The staff are very caring and give him the support as and when he needs. As a family we are very happy with Dad being at HG as we know he is now able to enjoy life and be safe/around caring people.
I cannot rate this home highly enough. The level of care received by my mum was truly that of a family standard, the staff don't just do their job, they genuinely care. I only wish we had found this place sooner to give Mum even more happy memories.
My Mum is in Holcroft Grange and has been there for about 18 months. She is very happy. The staff are amazing with my mum and nothing is any trouble for them. Their care is amazing and there is always something to keep them entertained. The team that organises this are the best.
Provides loving care with very caring staff. Entertainment is fantastic, there seems to be something on every day. The food is very good. My mother is very happy and making excellent progress with the care given.
Amazing staff who are always positive and caring. Lovely environment with high standards. Excellent and varied activities.
I enjoy living here. I am happy here.
I find all staff very welcmioing and I am updated on any issues regarding Mum on a regular basis. Mum is very well cared for. Staff are extremely kind and extremely helpful. Mum is very comfortable in her room. There is a good stand if cleanliness throughout. Mum enjoys the entertainment/activities when she is able. She enjoyed an outing to the pub for a meal last year. Overall, I am very happy with Mums care.
My mother required urgent respite for a few days and Holcroft Grange provided the support. The staff are very welcoming and supportive and the place is clean and tidy and welcoming.
We were extremely pleased with the care, attention and affection given to my mother during her dispute. nothing too much trouble, first-class home.
All the staff have been very courteous and kind, atmosphere very friendly on the whole. Settling in okay. Lovely that my family can visit in various rooms.
During Mum's time at Holcroft Grange, the staff have gone from reliable, regular full-time staff to mostly agency staff who cannot build rapport with the residents. This is significant as is the deterioration in the quality and variety of food on offer.
I have visited other care homes and consider that we are very fortunate to have found a place for my mother in Holcroft Grange.
My Father has been a resident of Holcroft Grange since June 2018. All of the staff (carers, cleaners, managers, handyman, chefs and activities coordinator) are amazing providing a high level of care. There are lots of activities provided weekly and trips out. There is access to a hairdresser, podiatrist and GP within the care home. The food is excellent and residents are personally seen each day by the chef to note down their choices from that day’s menu. One of the day rooms has been converted into a 1950’s reminiscence room. The manager is always available to discuss any situations and works hard to address and rectify any concern raised. Recently it was my Father’s birthday and the activities coordinator arranged a tea party for my Father and relatives to enjoy which was excellent. I would highly recommend Holcroft Grange to anyone who finds themselves in the same stressful and emotional situation I did over a year ago of having to find a new “home” for your loved one.
My mother has been a resident of Holcroft Grange since November 2017, as a result of her inability to care for herself due to her Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in January 2013. Although Mum is now very confused and infirm, she is treated with the utmost kindness by all the staff there. They all do their very best to try and keep the residents as happy and contented as possible, under what must be very difficult circumstances at times. I have the utmost respect for ALL the staff. They are always cheerful and friendly, both with the residents and their relatives/visitors and I have only ever seen them treat the residents with complete dignity and respect. The residents are regularly treated to entertainment from singers and musicians, together with regular visits from the local nursery and school children. There are weekly craft sessions, low key keep fit sessions etc. I would thoroughly recommend Holcroft Grange to anyone who is considering long term care for their elderly relative.
Good, friendly staff. Helpful and excellent. Provision of entertainment. Medical care when needed.
The service was first rate. Staff very helpful and caring.
My first experience of a care home, I have only ever heard bad news about care homes but how wrong they are. I cannot praise the staff of this home enough and when I say, staff, I mean all staff, the ones doing the caring and the all too forgotten staff behind the scenes i.e. cooks cleaners, maintenance man etc. My mother was cared for in this home right up to her last day, all staff were excellent caring not just for the welfare of my mother but that of the family. The care home is run as one big family, warm and inviting. Thank You for changing my view of care homes.
My husband goes into Holcroft Grange for respite care. He his well looked after there and the staff are very kind and helpful. They are polite and understanding because it is difficult for me as his wife and family because he is suffering from Alzheimer's and Dementia, which puts added strain on the family.
