View Full Details of Three ElmsDad recently needed to move into a care home was a stressful time for both himself and our family. From day one staff, management and senior carers without exception have been professional, caring and helpful, giving us advice and guidance, making a difficult time easier for us all. Having worked in the industry myself until recently I have nothing but praise for all concerned. It isn't easy working in the care industry, but staff always have time for both Dad and ourselves when we visit. The building is spotless, Dad's room is always clean and well-maintained, and Dad himself well turned out. The communication and updates on Dad are regular. The food is varied and appropriate for the residents, and there's regular activities.
My father was provided with respite care for a month following a stay in hospital. Throughout his stay he was treated with kindness, dignity and in a highly professional manner by all the care team. I was kept regularly updated on his progress, and on my visits was always made to feel welcome.
My mother has been in Three Elms for three and a half years. She is well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. The care support staff are lovely, friendly and very caring. Nobody would choose to put their precious family into a care home but when there is no choice you need to know your family member is safe and cared for. Three Elms gives me this.
I was dreading my mum-in-law going into the Three Elms as she's been in respite in one and a bed to assess in another and they weren't great, but I'm so glad we chose the Three Elms as her forever home. The care, meals and everything else are second to none, it's clean and tidy at all times, and the staff are amazing, including all office staff, the maintenance guys, cleaners and carers. They treat residents and families as if they were their own. Nothing is ever too much and they always have an ear ready for you if you need a chat. Thanks, Three Elms for everything you do for my mum-in-law I can rest easy knowing she very well looked after when we're not there.
The staff are lovely and couldn’t do any more for my nan. Since Nan has been in she wouldn’t let anyone shower her apart from family but by giving Nan time and staff forming a bond with her she now comfortably lets staff shower her which has taken a big strain off our family. There is nothing anyone in the home won’t do and nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff. Every time I have visited it’s always been lovely and clean and all other residents including my nan always seem happy and content.
I am so pleased that my mum had the privilege of managing to get into the Three Elms, which will be for the rest of her life. The staff are absolutely amazing, and nothing is any trouble for them at all, we are always made welcome, with big smiles, and politeness and anything we need to know, we are kept well informed. Out of 3 other homes she has stayed in, The Three Elms is the absolute best, always clean smells fresh, has excellent food, loads of things to do, and places to go, it's unbelievable. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. People shouldn't have to spend the rest of their lives in places which I wouldn't even put my cat in! Three Elms is the only place, where care, actually means care and total respect for everyone who sets foot in the building. It's like having a massive family under one roof! Well done to you all, and thank you for what you do for mum.
This is the 4th anniversary of my mother arriving at Three Elms. During her time there she has been made so comfortable. Her dementia makes her anxious but the staff always take the time to sit with her until she becomes settled again. Family visit at least 3 times a week and are always greeted by cheerful staff, even given tea and biscuits to enjoy with her during our visits. We are always informed of any changes to her condition so are able to relax knowing that her care is uppermost there.
My aunt was under the care of Three Elms for over 3 years. Whilst there she was made very welcome and very well cared for. When I visited I was always reassured to see the care provided for her was of a high standard no matter what day of the week/weekend or time of day it was, the staff were always happy to attend to her needs. Sadly my aunt passed recently at the grand age of 92. I can only say that all the staff made my aunt very comfortable in her last days and she passed peacefully. Thank you to the manager and all the nursing team.
My overall experience of Three Elms from my first visit to have a look at the facilities to my mum moving in has been excellent. The care my mum is receiving is wonderful. All the staff, from management, cleaners, carers and everyone else who works there, made the whole transition for Mum moving from home into care as stress-free as it could be. According to Mum, the meals she has are very, very good and she enjoys them all. The activities and trips that are available are really good and Mum has had fun joining in. There is a great hairdresser on site who does a lovely job on Mum's hair. Our whole family are very pleased with the care my mum is receiving and couldn't ask for anything more.
My mum became a resident in 2012 and spent over ten happy years at the home until she sadly passed away in December 2022. The staff and management at Three Elms were exemplary in their care and compassion towards my mother's needs and it was very comforting to know that, in my absence, Mum was being looked after very well. There were occasions when Mum could be quite a character and something of a challenge for both the other residents and the staff, but thankfully they all took this in their stride. The regular activities were something which were enjoyed very much by Mum and she relished the idea of joining in with dancing and singing on each occasion. I cherish the many photographs of Mum's time at Three Elms, which were kindly uploaded to her online tribute page. On the day of Mum's funeral, the cortege paused at the care home, whereby all the staff came out to pay their last respects to one of their longstanding residents. I shall never forget this very touching occasion.
Our father and grandfather was a resident at Three Elms for over five years. Visiting once or twice a week, our family members became well known to all the staff. Homely surroundings that are extra special and loving, the management and staff were always available to make contact with and discuss any ensuing situations with our Dad. We firmly believe there could not have been a better home for Dad to be looked after in his final years. We arranged on his death this year, at the age of 97 years, for the funeral cortège to leave from the home. A large number of staff turned out to say goodbye from the home forecourt and some even attended the funeral. A truly magnificent care home and should any of our family ever need looking after, we have booked in advance. Lots of love to them all.
My mum has been here for 3 years. She's very happy, well cared for and has plenty of things for her to take part in. The staff are friendly and caring. We always feel welcomed when we visit. They keep us up to date with her care.
My gorgeous Nan has been a resident since January 2022. From the first day, all the staff have been welcoming and caring to my Nan and myself. We had a few tough weeks at first with an outbreak of covid, which was very hard as I was unable to visit Nan for 5 weeks and this being the longest time without seeing her and her having dementia was hard but the staff reassured us that Nan was keeping well and settled in. She goes on outings in the local areas and loves to join in with gardening. The home has held lots of activities that helps keep Nan busy and we are encouraged to join in too. Last week was her 90th birthday and the staff went above and beyond to organise a buffet that was amazing and let us have use of a room to invite some family and friends to gather and celebrate with Nan. We all had an amazing day and Nan had her wish come true of having all her family and friends around her. I cannot thank the staff enough for what they do to help my Nan.
On arrival for respite care, I was taken to my room which had obviously not been prepared. The bed was unmade and the room was dirty. There were remnants of food down the side of the chair cushion and the bathroom had toiletries left behind. When the staff came to dress me, prior to discharge, I was dressed in someone else's clothes, despite me telling them these clothes are not mine.
We have used Three Elms on two occasions. Last month, Mum had become poorly with a water infection and needed more care than we could possibly give. We spoke to the manager at Three Elms and they were able to quickly take her into their care. A massive relief for the family, together with the huge benefit in placing Mum into the hands of these caring, quality professionals. With antibiotics and the watchful eye of these guys, Mum was soon on the road to recovery. It was a great comfort to know she was in a safe place, monitored and her care needs were taken care of. After three weeks, she was back home and at 94 years young, with the help of carers and a loving family, we hope to keep her in her home environment a little longer. However, once and if the day comes that she needs a safe caring environment again, our only choice will be the manager, staff and the rest of the guys at Three Elms. From all the family, thank you.
There really is a warm and supportive atmosphere in Three Elms where Mum and her family feel welcome. It wasn’t an easy decision to give up Mum’s home and move into residential care, but we are all agreed that Three Elms is the right place for her. The members of the management team are caring and the home and gardens are attractive, well maintained, clean and comfortable. Staff are always on hand to help, but also encourage Mum to feel and be as independent as possible. Small adjustments to allow for Mum’s disabilities mean that she can participate in many of the activities. Despite Covid restrictions limiting outings and visiting entertainers, management and the events coordinator work creatively to keep residents stimulated and active. Personal and general special days and events are marked with decorations, activities and special treats. Birthdays are joyous occasions that involve everyone: residents, staff and family! We love being part of the Three Elms Family.
I visited a church member - she was being well looked after some years ago. My sister in law was well looked after, then my wife - they have done their best for her - despite the difficulties she presented they looked after her in a normal way delaying the day that she should be placed in a secure area for her safety. I have great faith in the homes ability to take care.
Dad initially went in for respite. A very emotional and difficult time for both of us but couldn't ask for better support or care from the staff. Despite Dad's very challenging behaviour, he was treated with respect and dignity.
The staff are really amazing here, nothing is too much trouble, they keep residents happy with activities. I am so glad we chose this home for our mum as she is really happy there, all her needs are catered for and the care is given with love.
Mum came to Three Elms in February 2020, 6 weeks before the pandemic started. From day 1 she has been looked after with exemplary care. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff there, they are all lovely. They do their utmost to keep the residents busy/entertained. The pandemic has been both good and bad for us, bad in the way we haven't been able to see her and she sadly doesn't understand whatsapp/Skype calls. Good, because it's helped Mum to settle in much better and we were kept informed of all events. On the whole, I don't think we could have chosen a better home for Mum.
