View Full Details of Victoria HouseMy mum is very happy in the care home. I've never known staff to be so caring for their residence as I have seen at Victoria house These residents want for nothing in the home. When I go to see my mum it just so warm and friendly.
I am very pleased with the care provided to the resident in the time he has been a resident at Victoria House.
My mum is really happy at Vicotria House. All the staff treat her with respect and understand that sometimes she can get very frustrated as she has dementia. Mum can no longer walk and spends most of her time in a wheelchair, but all the staff include her in all the activities. The support she receives is above and beyond, and we, as a family, fully support and trust the staff to look after Mum.
Since my mother went to stay at Victoria House in April this year, we have found the staff professional, caring and maintaining a high standard throughout. They adopt a most pleasant and patient approach to my mother and provide continuing support to our family.
My father came into care in March 2022. This was a very difficult time for me, however, the team at Victoria House made this super easy for myself and my dad. My dad is loved and very well looked after. He engages well with staff. The staff at Victoria House go above and beyond for my dad and have their own little ways with him. I can't thank the manager and her team enough for the amazing work they do. Thank you.
I am so glad my husband is in this home. The best.
All the staff are warm, caring and approachable. Don't try fixing something that's not broken. Well done to everybody.
Very homely and friendly. Made me feel more comfortable leaving my parent in the care of lovely staff.
Mum is very happy here at Victoria House. She is very demanding at times and the staff are really patient with her. The home is clean and well-kept and Mum's needs are very well taken care of.
Have nothing but praise for Victoria House. My mum is so happy here and has been from day 1. All the staff are so caring and know exactly how to treat and care for Mum and all the residents. I always feel full of happiness when I've visited.
Mum is very well looked after. She has 24/7 1:1 care due to a broken neck and advanced dementia.
Dad initially struggled to settle in Victoria House following the death of his wife but the patience and tolerance of the staff helped him to settle in. He is now very content and is very happy with the care he receives. The staff are helpful and friendly, keeping me well informed of any issues with Dad. Clean and good food too.
My nan has recently gone into Victoria House Care Home for respite. When visiting her she is getting involved in activities, she's been out for a walk to the shops in Latchford with the staff, something she would have never done at home. Victoria House has given my nan her life back and we're hoping we can make this permanent for her. Thank you again to the staff, you're amazing.
My mum entered Victoria House for respite, the staff were very welcoming and made my mum feel right at home. My mum always stated she never wanted to go into a home. But once there, she settled in quickly, she has lovely company with other residents and the staff can't do enough for her. She now has the luxury of enjoying company and doing activities or returning to her room for some relaxing me time, watching TV or doing her word searches. Highly recommended. Staff and management can't do enough for me or my mum.
Since Dad has arrived in the home, I feel he has improved, he's well looked after, clean and finds the staff happy and kind.
Checked out most of the local care homes before settling on Victoria House Care Home for my mum (it's not an easy time!) and whilst she struggled initially to adapt to her new way of living, with a lot of help from the staff she thankfully feels at home there now (she likes the food, the cleanliness, the staff and even has her own group of friends in there). It might not be the perfect situation but I'm happy with the decisions we made.
Lovely rooms and nice people who work there.
Concerns raised to management regarding communication of incidents involving my relative and also the cleanliness of my relative's room. Concerns were immediately addressed by management and issues discussed with myself and family. All issues of concern were rectified and improved communication channels have been put in place. Our relative is very settled, content and well cared for. Activities have increased with plans for further development.
It is always very worrying when someone you love has to go into a care home but our fear left us very quickly when we saw the love and care shown to our mum by the wonderful staff at Victoria House Care Home. Mum was cared for in a warm, comfortable and pleasant environment. Although Mum didn't have a big appetite, she always said the food was very good indeed. We visited Mum on a daily basis and were always greeted by staff who were always pleasant, friendly and well-mannered and when you passed anyone in a corridor they always acknowledged you and seemed genuinely pleased to see you. We would not hesitate in recommending Victoria House to friends and family.
My mother was a resident at Victoria House since March 2022 and after a spell in hospital, they were kind enough to let her return to the home, for her end of life, so that she could be around friendly and familiar faces. The facilities are fine, but what impresses me most about Victoria House, is its staff. They are fun, professional, and so, so kind. Nothing is too much for them. The care that they took of my mother was at every stage, so personal, respectful and compassionate. I can't thank them enough.
