View Full Details of Eboracum House EMI Residential Care HomeMy mum is a resident on a temporary basis until an amended care package can be put in place. My mum says the staff are friendly and helpful and she is enjoying the food. When we visit her we are always greeted with a friendly smile and nothing seems to be much trouble. The manager is always happy to have a chat.
My friend was having difficulty looking after themself and went to Eboracum. The staff and management are so polite and friendly, nothing is too much trouble, the minute you enter they make you feel so at ease. Even though there were restrictions due to Covid, my visit was so pleasant.
I was visiting this home and was greeted by a really nice girl; she made me feel so welcome, and after doing the test and completing a form, she showed me through the garden, which was lovely. The staff were all very polite, and the other residents that I happened to see were all laughing and having such fun. Even the manager came to introduce himself, and that felt really nice to be told if I wanted anything or a chat to feel free to ask for him. If I was in need of a bed, I would book myself in today.
We went to visit a friend and we were made really welcome by the staff. They seemed very attentive and caring, which was lovely to see.
My mum has been resident at Eboracum Care Home since March 26th 2019. She has also been resident at various care homes in Barnsley for two weeks respite. But when she had to make a choice for a permanent home she chose Eboracum Care Home. Friendly, warm, kind and caring.
My father is 99 years old. Until earlier this summer, he was totally independent of carers, living alone in a large semi-detached council house which had been his home for 71 years. Though his mind is extremely sharp and lively, he found it more and more difficult to move around the house, especially at times when he needed to visit the outside toilet. He alone decided he needed to go into care where he is extremely happy and contented, settling happily into Eboracum House. As a family, we have peace of mind he is safe and well with a new lease of life. Every time we visit we can see the genuine care and support all the staff give to the residents.
Very helpful and supporting, excellent facilities in our time of help and need. Highly recommended. They treat Dad with dignity. Fantastic staff.
My Dad moved into Eboracum House in June and settled in straight away. My brother chose Eborcarum as he knew of it through family employed there. To us, as a family, we feel the home is 'home from home'. The staff and management are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble and the meals are really outstanding. The home is always clean and bright. My Dad is very happy and that is the main thing. Thank you.
When we finally had to make a decision regarding my aunty's health and had to put her in a care home we looked around at quite a lot but decided on Eboracum House because we found the home to be like a home from home and we knew my aunty would be happy there in her final days. It was a hard decision but the staff and manager were so kind and caring towards her and gave us all the care and support we needed at this difficult time. She finally passed away in May which was really sad but we knew we had made the right choice. I would recommend Eboracum House for your loved ones.
When my dear auntie fell really ill in hospital. I had to make a very hard decision of finding a care home as she was not well enough to return home. I visited a lot of care homes but decided to choose Eboracum House in Barnsley because the staff were very friendly and welcoming on our unannounced visit. It is a small, old fashioned and very clean home. The manager and staff have been really caring throughout my aunt's short stay and have been really dignified with her until finally passed away. They have been very kind and supportive to the family at our very sad time. I have worked in a lot of care homes and I have always found that small homes are more friendly and homely and staff have more time to care for the residents. I would highly recommend this home if they were looking for a good care home for a loved one.
Me and my sister visited the care home without an appointment and was shown around the home by a friendly member of staff. We arranged for a meeting with the manager who was very helpful, friendly and professional and she arranged for our auntie to be admitted to the home. Our auntie was very well cared for by all the staff and manager. My auntie was treated with dignity and in all her aspects of her care needs. My auntie was only in the care home a month before she passed due to ill health. My auntie said all the staff and the manager were all very kind and lovely to her. The manager and staff always acted professionally and my auntie was treated like their own family. I would recommend this home to any family members.
A very friendly and personable home, ideally situated across from Locke Park to take your family/relative for a nice walk.
I had to find a care home for my uncle who had a stoke before Christmas. I looked at a few but found Eboracum House. It is a small home but that is just what my uncle wanted. It doesn’t smell like some of the homes I visited and is very welcoming. It has a lot of victorian features from the original house and feels like a home from home. The staff are very friendly, they all know my uncles name and were very helpful to both of us when he moved in. He likes the good old traditional food and enjoys sitting in the bright conservatory watching tv. My uncle has had both the dentist and hearing people visit him there and has settled in brilliantly. The manager and staff are the main reason for this. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a cosy friendly home for their loved one.
