Excellent care given from brilliant patient staff who always go the extra mile always with a smile and a sense of humour. They always treat the patients with dignity and kindness. They are always trying to involve them with games and crafts making things, having entertainment too . The food always looks very good too . Well done to everyone involved in the care home .

My mum was in another care home for 4 years, she was treated so badly that she ended up in hospital for 3 weeks I hate that it took some thing like that to happen for me to find Riverside Care home. Since being here she has had the very best care, she is happy and smiling again, and the staff takes pride in their job. They treat the residents with love and care. I really can't praise them enough.

Dad moved here after failings in another care home. Wow, what a difference. Excellent leadership filters through the whole team and dad was treated with dignity and respect. He sadly died at Riverside where he received excellent end-of-life care.

From my first phone call enquiry I felt that the home would be caring and friendly, which has proved to be so. Even though my husband can be very difficult, they always reassure me that he is not a problem they can't overcome. That is a great comfort to know that he is well cared for and safe means everything. All the staff have time to look out for him and for me when I visit and even though it is early days I know he is in the right care.

What a difference. Mum came as a new resident after hospital caused by a previous home's lack of care. She is now thriving in this fantastic home. Greatly improved in health and happiness. The staff are second to none, led by the manageress. They really put the care into care home. We are so happy our mum now lives here. Thank you all.

Riverside Care Home is the best I have been in since my husband became ill over the last 7 years he has been in Riverside for over 12 months and in our experience I have found the rare is second to none. All the staff and management are so caring and compassionate, the home is spotlessly clean, the bedding is changed on a regular basis at least 4 times a week and the food they all say is gorgeous. What is outstanding is how much care is given in giving medication to all residents and care for their safety for residents and visitors with much appreciation.

My wife began her stay at Riverside 6 months ago. Any judgement of Riverside should be within the context of dealing with someone with advanced Alzheimer vascular dementia. Riverside cannot stop this deteriorating but the improvement in her living with it since being resident has been remarkable and something I could not have achieved alone. She now participates in social activities and responds to most interventions and activities, which previously she would not. This is due to the environment, personnel involved, and strategies deployed. It is easy to criticise minor factors which do not please but I do believe that the staff at Riverside do everything humanly possible to allow as normal an existence as possible. The manager is approachable and sets a leadership example which resonates throughout the whole team. The rooms would benefit from air conditioning in warm weather but personal care, relationships and team work are far more important than buildings.

My overall experience of the care home has been upsetting. For the first 3 months mum was well cared for and I had no concerns. From January 2023 onwards her care has been inconsistent. The first incident was forgetting to inform me of Mum having the flu. On 3 occasions I had to inform the Doctor of mum being unwell due to the care home not being proactive, mum needed medical attention for a water infection, pressure sore and itchy skin. When visiting I would often have to ask for her pad to be changed despite being advised that staff were checking mum frequently, even on the day I moved mum she needed changing. Mum's nails were dirty and long. Often Mum's bedding was dirty, once left soaked in urine. Not all Staff were vigilant enough to keep mum safe one staff member advised that mum had been covered in powder. I found glass in her drawer yet staff still advised me that they could keep Mum safe. Despite numerous complaints, mum's level of care wasn't good enough at this care home.

My mother has recently moved into this care home and we could not be any happier with everything at this time. Every member of staff we have met has been welcoming, accommodating and helpful and Mum has settled in really well. Nothing has been too much trouble for anyone. Mum has a lovely, clean room and the personal attention she receives is first-class, would highly recommend.

My father has been resident here for a few months and my sisters and I can’t speak highly enough of the caring ethos that resonates from the care home manager down through the staff. The peace of mind that we get knowing that Dad is really well looked after is most comforting. Excellent facility and staff.

My sister has come into Riverside and I couldn't be happier. She has been here, she has made friends and her outlook seems brighter. After meeting with the management team I was introduced to the staff. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. It's not an easy decision to make putting a relative into a care home however I feel very at ease at Riverside. I am always made to feel welcome when visiting my sister.

Satisfactory experience, hardworking and caring staff. Clean, tidy home, nicely decorated. I find all levels of staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble.

My mum has dementia and has been treated with care, dignity and compassion like the caregivers would treat their own mum. If at any time I have had any concerns I have openly talked to the staff about it, or talked about anything, her door has always been open. My mum came from another home that I felt were not looking after her properly. I have felt safe knowing my mum is in Riverside. Even at end-of-life they kept asking after me and if I was okay.

I would highly recommend Riverside Residential Care Home who does a fantastic job of looking after my mum who has a diagnosis of dementia. The staff are very caring and patient with her. They know her very well and she is not just a number. They manage her needs very well and she is always well looked after. They ensure that her dignity is respected and she is always clean, dressed appropriately and her hair and nails are done. The staff do activities with her regularly to help stimulate her. Her room is lovely, decorated modern, light and airy and the staff ensure the temperature is just right for her according to the weather. She always has a fresh drink available which is topped up regularly and her meals meet all her nutritional needs. The home, itself, is very welcoming and the staff keep me informed and updated about her care. I couldn’t ask for better care.

I highly rate this care home, the staff are always helpful and friendly and they respect and care for their residents very well. The facility is always clean, bright and welcoming and there are always different activities and events going on. I feel at ease and confident that this is a trustworthy establishment. Many thanks.

I was very dubious about my friends staying in any home at all, but after visiting for a number of weeks and I mean most days of that time, I needn't have worried so much. My friend settled in straight away, so visiting was a pleasure because there were no complaints. Because I came to see my friend about every day I've seen it with my own eyes that the residents are fed, watered and looked after how they should be. So that is such a good thing, you don't have to go home worried at all.

Visitors always receive a warm welcome when entering the home. I feel the staff are genuine and nothing is false or being hidden. Staff are opened and honest and other visitors feel the same, nothing is put on because visitors are there. Staff genuinely care for their residents, are respectful of their needs and privacy and will go above and beyond if needs be. Staff are always visible and available for residents and will address any welfare issues as they arrive. If the alarm is triggered, staff respond instantly. Clearly, good policies and procedures are in place. The team are amazing with excellent leadership, and long may this continue.

These ladies were absolutely brilliant with my dad. He wasn’t there very long, but even in the short time he was, these ladies went above and beyond. I honestly can not thank them enough. My dad received the best possible care in the best possible place, from the most dedicated carers possible. The two management ladies are so attentive and nothing was too much for them. They kept me calm, reassured me and gave me a cuddle when I needed it most. I truly do thank you.

Staff very approachable. Staff all very knowledgeable. Food very varied and appetising. All areas very clean. Activities very good and interesting. Rooms clean and safe with enough storage. All residents are acknowledged straight away.

My nannan was in Riverside for respite. She enjoyed all the activities and the friendly staff, who always had a smile on their faces. Management were warm and welcoming. The care my nannan received was second to none.

My mum was in another care home for 4 years, she was treated so badly that she ended up in hospital for 3 weeks I hate that it took some thing like that to happen for me to find Riverside Care home. Since being here she has had the very best care, she is happy and smiling again, and the staff takes pride in their job. They treat the residents with love and care.
