View Full Details of Cantley GrangeWhenever I visit my sister and sister in law who are in rooms next to one another I find the staff to be very professional very kind and always polite, even under difficult circumstances. How they keep the smile on their faces sometimes I'll never know. No grumbles from me at all just many thanks for the care they give.
I am very happy with the care home and how the staff support my granny, respecting her culture and way of life, coming from the gypsy community. The staff are always professional and supportive. If anybody is looking for a home from home experience with first class care, Cantley Grange is the place.
My aunt has settled in very well. I have noticed that she is much happier. She's made some new friends and enjoys the daily activities. The manager and staff are friendly, welcoming and caring and I'm very happy with the 24 hour care she is now receiving. I would highly recommend Cantley Grange to anyone looking for a 1st class care home.
A warm and respectful home where residents are treated with dignity. My sister is very well cared for, with good food and activities and friendly staff. She feels safe. Very happy to recommend the manager and her team.
Since my mum was admitted she has continued to improve both mentally and physically. The staff are extremely caring and helpful. There are daily activities for mum to join in with and she has lots of company. It is a home-from-home. I know that mum is safe and well cared for in this home and I no longer have to worry about her. As a former nurse, I can and do highly recommend this home to anyone looking for care for their relative.
Since my friend arrived at Cantley Grange she has come on leaps and bounds the manager and staff are very nice and look after my friend very well. There is always plenty of activities for the residents to do. The staff are always pleasant and very caring.
My husband is at Cantley Grange on respite with a view to going for weekends every month and then permanently when the time comes. It's homely and comfortable but the main thing is the care is top-notch. All staff are great, I have to mention one in particular though, she is amazing, professional, caring, and a credit to the company.
Cantley Grange has looked after my mum only for a short time, accommodation and food very high standard. Managers are well-trained and experienced. The staff, from seniors, carers, cleaners and kitchen all have residents' well-being at first thought. The advice given has helped towards future care needs for her.
I can only say brilliant in every way from leadership to everyday experience.
My overall experience regarding this care home is extremely positive. I have observed throughout my visits that my partner appears relatively settled, cared for and not unduly stressed at all, however, I would like to raise one small issue - my partner's communication skills are almost nil so cannot convey her needs/wants to care staff involved. This is especially noticeable at meal times where she may need a little intervention/help in the future.
Absolutely first class, fantastic staff - would highly recommend.
In the past 2 years since my mum has lived at the home, she has been very happy and well looked after. She has benefitted from the company and the 24-hour care she has received. I can come and go as I please and leave her in such capable and kind hands.
I found this care home the best I have visited and I have visited a few. The staff are so helpful and kind, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are clean and always tidy. Lots of activities to keep residents entertained. Overall, a fabulous care home.
I went to see my aunty who I have not seen for 3 years due to Covid and the fact that I was apprehensive of her getting upset at the thought of her not recognising me due to her dementia. I need not have worried at all. I was let in by the manager (not knowing this at the time) I can just remember what a kind and warm lady she was. The manager was rounding the residents up to take them to the lounge for a Coronation party. She treat everyone with care and dignity. The residents did seem happy in their own way, looking clean and dressed appropriately. I was very impressed with how tidy and welcoming the home was. There was certainly no smell of urine/disinfectant as in other residential homes I have been in. The other carers that were around all were very empathic to the resident's needs. Overall, care homes don't seem to get the recognition that some deserve, but I must say I was very impressed with the home as a whole and would certainly recommend. Keep up the good work.
Delighted with the care in extremely advanced Alzheimer's.
Extremely knowledgeable staff. I could not recommend or praise enough. This has been an emotional transition of my mother's dementia care but the help given to me has been superb. Special thanks to the manager and administrator.
Mum was originally staying for respite after flooding her home. She had been suffering from Alzheimer's and falling frequently. She was judged to be unsafe to go home and has stayed at Cantley Grange Care Home since then, two years ago. Her care has been nothing but kind, compassionate and professional in all this time. This last month she has suffered from a bad chest infection and the staff have looked after her so well. After a complication with medications that fell at the weekend the senior on duty spent hours on the phone to resolve the issue and ensured Mum was not without the antibiotics she needed. Knowing Mum is so well cared for takes so much stress out of a difficult situation. When I leave after a visit I never leave worried as the staff will always be in contact if they have concerns.
The manager/assistant manager and carers from first enquiries to looking after Mum have been very helpful and friendly. I do have to point out that some carers, not all, need to be more aware and understanding of individual needs and disability.
I'd like to start this review by saying a huge thank you to all the staff at Cantley Grange Care Home for looking after my dad earlier this year and making his last few weeks as comfortable as possible. My dad was in his early-90s when he was admitted to Cantley Grange; he was very frail and had several medical issues in addition to serious problems with his memory. Despite the challenge that posed, the care he was afforded whilst there was excellent. The staff treated him with respect and were very sensitive to his many personal and medical needs. I would wholeheartedly recommend Cantley Grange for care in later life and once again thank them for looking after my dad.
Finally, thanks to relaxing of the Covid problem, I can now visit my wife in her room and see inside the home for myself. I'm very happy with my wife's room and surroundings. Staff and manager are totalling pleasant and inform me if anything needs my attention.
