View Full Details of Rose HouseWe moved Dad to Rose House towards the end of December and I can honestly say it was the best thing to happen to him of late. The place itself is spotless and so beautifully furnished. There are different areas to go and sit in. Music is on all the time which Dad loves. The staff are just amazing and cannot do enough. There is entertainment and activities on a daily basis and trips out, dad has just been out bowling which he loved. We love the fact that everyone is made to feel special and deserve more than just being left to sit in a chair all day. His bedroom is beautiful and he has his own shower room with toilet. We are so pleased we moved Dad here and cannot thank the staff enough. Dad is a completely new person now.
What can I say, a beautiful, first class home. I won't say residential because, it is my sister's home. She is very well cared for, the staff are very friendly, conscientious and nothing is too much trouble. Although my sister was quite ill over the Christmas period, they occasionally managed to get her to join into the wonderful festivities that had been arranged for the residents and visitors, even if only for a short while. My sister's room and ensuite facilities were cleaned, sometimes more than once a day, and bedding changed everyday due to her illness. Due to their care and cleanliness, my sister is now, once again, back to her normal self, and enjoying the indoor activities and outside visits. My own health and well being has never been so good, knowing that my sister at last is getting the care, help and security that she needs. I would recommend, and do recommend, this beautiful home to all my friends, and also those who are looking for a care home for their friends and families.
My brother went in to Rose House in may this year for respite, he loved it that much he wanted to stay. All the staff made him very welcome. There is always things to do and he joins in activities. My brother says it's 1st class and they can't do enough for you. The staff are amazing.
My Dad had a two-week respite stay at Rose House and he was looked after really well. He found all the staff members to be very kind and friendly, everyone treated him with respect and nothing was too much trouble to ensure he had an enjoyable stay. He came home more mobile because he loved walking around the home, it is beautifully decorated and furnished with quiet areas and company if he wanted it. I would definitely recommend the care home to anyone looking for a friendly caring home for relatives.
My mother came to Rose House on respite at first but her increasing dementia meant that she became a permanent resident. She has a lovely sunny room with ensuite wet room. Although she is not fully aware, the staff are very caring, take their time with her and really look after her. She is helped with washing and dressing. She has lost two pairs of glasses, despite thorough staff searches, but she does have a habit of wandering and also putting her stuff in different places. The care home is light, airy and well maintained. Staff clean rooms every day and wash clothes every day. All staff are friendly, conscientious and very caring towards the residents. Food and drink is very good and both residents and visitors are welcomed very warmly and we are kept informed of my mother's welfare. The well being team should be praised for the activities they do daily with the residents as well as outside visits. We are happy knowing that my mother is well cared for, safe and secure
Mum has only been a resident for a couple of months but in that time she has settled really well with support and wonderful care from all the staff. She really enjoys the activities and the facilities are excellent.
My mum stayed in Rose House for 2 weeks of respite care. The staff were very kind, caring people and the facilities were exceptional but unfortunately, her medical requirements were not observed closely enough, instructions provided regarding her medication were ignored and her physical and mental health declined significantly during her stay. Therefore I cannot recommend this home for people with complex health issues or those needing nursing support. It is more suitable for those who are able to move around independently and are better aware of their personal needs such as toileting and water intake. Unfortunately, my mum was not encouraged to drink enough water leading to chronic dehydration, confusion, and illness. She also complained that the meals provided were of poor quality. I also noted that staff levels at the weekend were dramatically less than during the week which was very concerning.
The home is like a hotel. My father is very well cared for. His health and general well-being has improved since moving into this care home. Although he has dementia and can have difficult days, the staff make sure he has his meals, is clean, and mentally settled. Thank you.
My Mother-in-law had a 2-week respite at Rose House. Her stay there was amazing from the very beginning. She was made to feel extremely welcome and at home. All of the staff were so lovely and we could not have asked for better care. She is already looking forward to her stay in October. She made lots of new friends at Rose House, which made her stay so much more enjoyable. Many thanks to all at Rose House for all of your continued care and support. We can highly recommend Rose House for anyone's loved one.
We are very grateful for the care and attention our relative is receiving. We are appreciative of such things as our request for an additional chiropody treatment, being arranged immediately after we asked. Our relative has settled in very well indeed.
On first impression Rose House was very friendly and the decor was lovely. Was very impressed with the activities going on every day for the residents, it's like a little club.
Rose House and all staff are amazing. This was the first time I had left my husband in respite and I felt so confident and relaxed that he was being cared for and was happy. I spoke to my husband every day and he was so happy - he didn't want to come home. Thank you to you all.
I have always felt so welcome at Rose House. All the staff are wonderful and really helpful. The food is always lovely, the activities are always brilliant, my room is always fresh and clean all the time. I wouldn't go anywhere else now. The management are so friendly and involved.
The whole of my two-week stay was like a holiday in a five-star hotel. The staff were kind, thoughtful and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
My mum went into respite for two weeks. She loved the place and the people who work very hard there. She also liked to chat with some of the residents in there. She liked it that much, I booked her in for two weeks in September.
I had a knee operation. I live on my own so Rose House was ideal for me. I thought everyone was so helpful (couldn't do enough for me) and all lovely and caring. My knee is still needing help and if it's bad for me I could always go back to Rose House. They are wonderful.
My Aunt has stayed at Rose House for a 3-week respite break and it is the best I have seen her in a long time. I have already booked her in for another stay. Rose House is a beautiful place, it seems more like a hotel than a care home. The staff has been brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and they also make visitors feel very welcome. There are plenty of activities for the residents to join in with should they choose. All in all a very positive experience. Thank you.
Overall a very positive experience. The care, support and attention to my mother-in-law's requirements has been first-class. This is driven by the professionalism of the management team at Rose House, they also ensure that residents' needs are addressed in a timely manner, and communicate effectively with the family to explain any actions taken.
Rose House has supported my mother to make a difficult transition from her home. They have been kind, patient and caring every step of the way. We have been kept informed at all times and involved with her care by the excellent management team. The residents are stimulated with daily activities and we look forward to seeing this on social media. The home is exceptionally clean at all times, my mother's room is spotless and reflects the standard expected in a five-star hotel.
Before I retired my job took me to many care homes. So having experienced care homes in the past I find Rose House and all of its staff one of the best. The facilities are excellent, clean and well-kept. The staff at all levels are professional and very helpful, and nothing appears too much trouble. I would recommend Rose House to anyone.
