View Full Details of The BeechesFrom the first meeting with the manager, I knew that this care home was for my dad. All staff from admin, carers, registered nurses, laundry staff, cleaners, activity coordinator, pastor and maintenance staff have been amazing. My dad has settled in so well which is a wonderful feeling especially when I now have to get on a plane home which is abroad. Thank you.
Removed my relative from this care home after an incident of verbal abuse towards her. Abuser reinstated. Would not take the risk of this happening again. Fractured femur, fractured clavicle, and numerous head injuries were recorded whilst residing there. CQC states needs improvement and they are not wrong.
My In-laws have been at The Beeches for two months now, they are both very happy and well looked after and have settled in really well despite my father-in-law not wanting to go into care. The staff go above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming environment for both residents and their family, I can't thank them enough for making what has been a very difficult time for the family better with their understanding and availability to help as much as possible.
Fantastic staff - will do anything to help. My mum is very happy and settled because of the staff. Rooms and clothing are very clean. Mum is eating really well, chefs help to give different food if Mum doesn't fancy what is on offer. Management is fantastic, always available to help with any questions, etc. Plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. Very safe for residents, with multiple locked doors for safety. Safe outdoor garden area to sit outside on warm days.
My mother has now been a resident at The Beeches Care Home for 12 months now, and I have to say, we, as a family, are really pleased with everything The Beeches has to offer.
My mum has received excellent care from the home. She is not the easiest of people however the staff coped with her really well and always treated her with care and dignity. My mum passed away on 30/6/24.
The staff at The Beeches are very pleasant and will react to the needs of the resident immediately when prompted. Activities are beginning to improve with attempts to involve all the residents. Residents who are reluctant to ask for help may need more checks to augment their basic needs.
Very caring and kind staff and management. They are all approachable and easy to talk to, nothing is too much trouble regarding residents' needs.
My mum was transferred here from another setting and can I just say, wow! The transition for my mum was made easy and very professional. The manager made everything run smoothly, my mum loved it from day one. Everyone is very friendly & professional. The activity coordinator engages with all the residents and the staff can't do enough. Overall The Beeches have very good staff all around. When I see my mum she's always happy & tells me she's happy here.
My mum has been a resident for over 2 years, in that time she has reduced excellent care. The home is always welcoming, clean and bright. There are lots of activities for the residents. Coffee mornings and meetings for relatives. Mum is looked after with dignity, and given lots of support and affection. All the staff have been wonderful and very caring.
My auntie has been in The Beeches for a year now, throughout that time from the manager down the staff have been fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Always putting things on and doing things with the residents which is very important in later life to keep the mind occupied with things to do. The home is immaculately spotless all the time, the food that the residents get is fantastic, to say the least. All in all, I would definitely recommend The Beeches for all they do for the residents, once again a big thank you to everyone involved in doing a fantastic service. Keep it up, thanks everyone. Much appreciated.
Very poor standard of care. Mum had no shower for 10 days, had rash all over her body and scabies. If showered, bed washed, helped with incontinence issues, dressed and undressed then the care staff would have seen the scabies. Also never separated her from the rest of the residents when notified by the doctor of this. Basic care and neglect of the highest standard. Fall mat never put in place as I put it on an angle and it stayed in this position for 2 days, meaning no one was checking on her every 2 hours as they were supposed to because she has mini strokes at night, if they had they would have seen that the mat wasn't out, this is a health and safety concern. Brakes not put back on after moving the bed to shampoo carpet. Mum fell twice as a result. Mum's diabetes read was 17.2 after giving Mum dessert for lunch, tea, and 3 biscuits three times a day.
This home is amazing, the staff are so caring and thoughtful. The home is always clean, and has a real homely, friendly feel to it. The home manager is lovely, and is always on hand for a chat, and the food is amazing. Can't recommend this home highly enough, my mum is so happy here, and I'm happy knowing she is safe and well cared for.
We were extremely happy with our mum's stay at The Beeches. She made friends and was very happy. She was treated with respect and dignity at all times and the staff went above and beyond to ensure her good health and happiness.
The home and staff are perfect for my mum's needs. The staff have always gone the extra mile to help me and my mother.
The staff, including all office workers, carers, chefs, cleaners and maintenance, are friendly and dedicated. They treat the residents with dignity. The care home is spotless and well-maintained. I feel 100% that my husband is well looked after.
My brother was a resident in The Beeches from December 2022 - March 2023. Even though he didn't want to be away from his home, he settled there with the help of the friendly staff, who were always on hand should he need anything. Sadly, he passed away in April in hospital.
My wife and I are always impressed by the hard-working staff at The Beeches, who create a loving and caring environment for the residents. This really showed when my mother celebrated her 100th birthday at the home on April 20th. The event was amazing, particularly considering the current covid situation. The attention to detail was outstanding, with a beautiful birthday cake and a splendid buffet. The events manager and staff did everything they could to create a family atmosphere in the reception hall with decorations and Mum's photographs. After tea, Mum and the family were entertained in the summer house by members of a male voice choir. What a wonderful occasion - thanks to the efforts of the brilliant staff.
My mum has been a resident for nearly two years. Even though I have been unable to visits as often as I would have liked, due to Covid restrictions, I have felt happy that she has been cared for.
Excellent service. They really look after Mum. Friendly, professional services as always. Clean rooms and facilities are very good.
