View Full Details of Broadacres Care HomeMy father was admitted to Broadacres from hospital as emergency respite care. We have been looking at other homes to move him to permanently, but made the decision to keep him at Broadacres. He has settled well. The staff are always cheerful and welcoming and my father is always clean and tidy, and properly dressed. Communication is excellent. Telephones are always answered and queries (when made) are responded to.
All the staff are really caring and really take good care of my dad. He seems really content.
Mum has been here for over 8 years now which she wouldn't have been had we not been so happy. The carers go above and beyond for Mum. They are all absolute diamonds. There really is nowhere I'd rather her be. Peace of mind, good care and a happy mum. Thank you Broadacres Care Home.
My mum has been in this care home for 2 years now. She is very well looked after, really settled and all her needs are met. All the staff are wonderful, really friendly and kind.
We have recently moved our mother from another care home and decided on Broadacres Care Home. I am so truly glad that we did because, believe me when I say this, the care attention and genuine love given are bringing her back to her old self. The one we thought we'd never get back. She's finally thriving with the correct motivation given. We are finally at ease knowing that she is receiving the care she thoroughly deserves. We have our lovely mum back. Thank you, from myself and the family for everything you have done and are continuing to do. The care team, the management, all of you deserve recognition. Nothing is too much trouble. You all have very big hearts.
Since I have been coming to see my friend, the entire staff and management are brilliant. They are polite to him and cannot do enough for him and nothing is too much trouble for him.
The home and staff are brilliant with residents. Always willing to help visitors and residents to the best of their ability. They are outstanding.
My dad has always been well looked after which puts us, as a family, at ease. The home is pleasant and friendly. I wouldn't want him anywhere but here. Thank you to all staff.
My sister is the best I've seen her. She's really thriving in Broadacress and very well cared for. The staff are always on hand and very approachable. We, as a family, are at ease and are happy to keep her in the home. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all staff.
Mum is being well looked after and her needs are met. Really happy with how things are going. Lovely home, always clean.
All staff at Broadacres Care Home are lovely to my husband as well as myself. He is well looked after and cared for. The admin staff and manager are also really nice to deal with and nothing is too much trouble, they are all really helpful. Big shout out to the manager upstairs for her kindness and understanding.
Provide a good service and see the residents are well cared for. The care that they provide caters for everyone’s different needs. My mum is very happy while staying there, seems very content and gets on well with other residents. The staff are very approachable if you have any questions or concerns.
Broadacres Care Home is a warm, welcoming place. The staff will always go the extra mile to ensure needs are met. They are genuinely sensitive and discerning regarding residents. My mum and me have had outstanding support with adjusting to her needing 24-hour care due to Alzheimer's/dementia. Staff always find things that she loses, which is great. The mealtimes and general routine at Broadacres run like clockwork. I feel at peace that my mum is a permanent resident here now.
This was our first experience with care homes, in our opinion, this home is absolutely disgusting. It's not clean, it's smelly, the staff are lazy and residents are left in their own mess for hours. Buzzers are not attached, so no contact to carers for help. There are no activities. Items of clothing go missing. Other residents come into your room at night time, which is very distressing for people like my mum. Broadacres Care Home needs closing down.
Nice, warm, cheerful atmosphere. Christmas well celebrated. Plentiful and good quality food. Staff are friendly and caring.
We are always extremely grateful for the high level of care provided to my mother by the "hands-on" care staff and their vigilance over the Covid period. We would also particularly commend the activities coordinator, who goes above and beyond to ensure my mother is stimulated and happy. The administration is good and responds promptly/efficiently to any concerns, and care home management seems to be more stable following a period of inconsistency. This is reflected in the overall atmosphere of the care home, but more effective and frequent communication would be appreciated - thank you to all involved in caring for my mother.
My mother has been in this home for almost two years. I have always found the staff to be helpful and professional. I genuinely believe the care she is getting is excellent. I can find no fault with the home, other than her room which I think could do with decorating.
If all care homes were like this it would be amazing. This is a lovely place for my sister to be living. The staff are amazing and the home is spotless.
The staff have always been helpful and kind, and my sister loved to interact with them. She has recently enjoyed singing and dancing and going out again. Sometimes, I think more staff at night should be available as my sister has often wet the bed because the carer was too busy.
My wife receives excellent care at Broadacres. I am confident that all her care needs are met by all the staff who treat her as their own family. I would certainly recommend Broadacres to anyone looking for care of their loved ones.
