View Full Details of Layden Court Care HomeMy lovely mum was in Layden court for 6 weeks, I cannot thank all the staff for the care, support and love they provided for her, myself and her grandsons during this difficult time. The care and attention was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, with numerous cups of tea provided for the family. It was a difficult decision to place Mum in a nursing home, but it was the right one and it allowed me to be her daughter and spend quality time with my mum in the last few weeks of her life, ones I will treasure forever. Thank you.
My dad came here in July this year, at first we were reluctant to let him come but my mum could not manage anymore. At first, he didn't settle but after time he is ok. The staff are wonderful with him, he can be difficult and awkward but they manage him lovely. I wish my mum was with him as I know they would be looked after.
It was my first time visiting my friend since she was admitted. I was welcomed by a lovely lady. She made me feel really welcomed and as I was at home. She introduced me to staff who showed me where my friend was. My friend was in her room and looked happy. I was offered a drink then told if I needed anything to just ask. My friend voiced how happy she was and felt very settled and safe. Thank you, everyone, especially one staff member for your hospitality.
I came to see my friend, it was dinnertime and smelt lovely. I was asked by staff if I would like some dinner, I said that would be nice and the food was lovely. My friend looked very well, he took me to his room which was nice with a nice view of the garden. I had a lovely time with my friend.
The home looks lovely when you walk in. There was no smell and the staff were very friendly. My friend was happy to be there and she said the food was nice and I have made friends here. I had not seen my friend for a while but she looked well.
My mother has lived at Layden Court for a year and it is very well looked after. The staff are very good. Nothing is too much trouble.
My mum is looked after very well. We have had a few concerns in the past, but have been dealt with very well. The staff are lovely and I am glad we put Mam in this care home.
Pleased out of special measures. Most carers friendly and approachable - management easily accessible. Improvements in activities taking place. Had to ask for clean bedding. Still no towel in Mum's toilet, despite telling senior manager yesterday. Happy to allow relatives to have lunch with Mum. Useful having social media to look at what is happening during activities. Hope improvements maintained.
I was visiting my wife who is now bed-bound as she is steadily deteriorating, she looks comfortable and doesn't seem to be in any pain. She has been on regular 15-minute interval checks but during our visits cares do come to her bringing drinks and check on her.
I arrived at Layden Court Care Home at about 11:00 am and was received by staff on duty with a smiling face. Their conduct towards me was very amazing. They assisted me in every aspect of the procedure and made my stay very good. Thank you so much.
I am pleased with the service and level of care even by the staff members at Layden Court. They have gone above and beyond for my mum and for her family members. I would highly recommend this care home for anyone needing the care this home offers as they would not be disappointed.
We had our mum in Layden Court Care Home for a brief respite care and we were really pleased with their care and communication. The manager even phoned us prior to Mum's arrival to discuss her needs and the care she would be getting. Our first visit was a bit of an eye-opener, as we had no experience of any care home, but after a couple of minor issues were resolved the ongoing care Mum received was excellent. All the staff were friendly and professional and kept us informed all of the time. The option of keeping her room available for a few days after her discharge home was even offered to us. We would be happy to recommend Layden Court to anyone seeking a care home. Good staff equals good care home.
Clean, friendly, welcoming staff. From initial entry to date we are very satisfied.
Found everybody very helpful, nothing is too much for them to do. Make you feel very welcome. Always let you know if there is a problem.
At all times my mum is treated with respect and dignity.
I would like to say that my mum was a resident at Layden Court for 6 years, she had dementia and the care she received was above and beyond my expectations. The carers treated Mum as if she was their mum or grandma, they loved her, respected her and was always there to support and assist her in any way possible. I can say hand on heart that they treated us all with respect and always made us welcome, made lots of cuppas and always had time to chat with us if we needed reassurance with what Mum was going through. It’s with sadness that our beautiful mum passed on the 21st of March and the carers were there with Mum in her last hours, all I can say is what amazing people they are. Thank you so much for what you did for Mum and her family.
Your care and support to our father were outstanding; there are no words that can say what you did for him, and I am eternally grateful. I was able to be there for him when he went to sleep for the last time. He made lots of friends with the staff and gave you all a chance to see and know the character he was. Thank you.
Mum came to your lovely home from hospital after a car accident. My mum really loved it there and felt safe. I cannot thank you all enough for what you have done for my mum.
Mum was a resident for 3 years before she passed away very recently. The care that she received in her unit was exceptional. More so in the last 4 weeks of her life, when love and compassion was shown by all the staff.
I cannot praise the care and patience received by the staff. I was very worried about my father going into residential care, with everything you hear about, I found it very stressful, but thank heavens for Layden Court and its wonderful staff. He rings me whenever he wishes, and we can visit the covid way (through the window), and the look on his face when I see him is so reassuring, in his own words "everyone is happy here". So again, thank you for all your wonderful work. I would not only recommend Layden Court, I tell everyone I see how wonderful it and everyone is. Stay safe.
