View Full Details of Ashton CourtLovely home and staff, my friend looks amazing and very well cared for, thank you all.
My friend has been a resident from December 2023. She went in as temporary. But chose to stay permanently, she is extremely happy and so am I with the care she receives. I can honestly say she is happier than she has been for a long time and I know she is safe which is very important to me.
Excellent care given to my father over a period of five years. Staff were particularly caring for both my father and his family as Dad's life came to an end - they could not do too much for us. Throughout the period of his residence at Ashton Court he was made to feel part of a family there; always encouraged to join in but allowed his own time when he needed it. He was made to feel safe, secure and was well cared for.
My mum arrived at Ashton from hospital as an emergency admission from hospital in July. It was immediately evident that this was the care home I needed for Mum's respite stays. August was a booked respite visit and basically Mum did not want to return home! The care was outstanding and the atmosphere of the care home is so welcoming. Mum was rushed into hospital on the 11th of September where it was evident that Mum had moved into an end-of-life stage. Mum kept asking to 'go home' - and by home, she meant Ashton Court. Ashton fully supported her to return to them with an end-of-life plan on the 15th of September and their coordination of the District Nurses and Hospice team was flawless. Mum passed away in their care on the 17th and I was enabled to be there with her constantly. The smile on her face when she whispered to staff when she arrived back on the 15th 'Oh I'm home' said far more than any review I could put on in terms of how excellent and compassionate this care home is.
My aunty was placed into Ashton Court after a short hospital visit. After my initial reservations I soon realised that she would be comfortable and well cared for. All the staff are very friendly and kind to the residents and visitors alike. The rooms are clean and tidy and bed linen is regularly washed. All food is cooked on site and looks wonderful! I would be happy to recommend Ashton Court
I placed my dad in Ashton Court after my mum passed away in October. As Dad has dementia I asked around and did some research on care homes in the area. I was told that this was the best one. I am absolutely delighted I picked Ashton Court. What a brilliant place this is. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond with anything you ask of them. The rooms are very accommodating. Most of all my dad is happy there and I don't worry about him at all. What I really like the most is the friendliness of the staff and they really make you feel at ease so you are able to ask them about any worries or concerns you may have. A great big thank you to you all.
After a fall and a hospital stay, my father needed a step-down bed. I visited another home where he was to be placed and couldn't see my dad there. I telephone Ashton Court in tears and in desperation needing a home from home for my dad. The kindness and support I received from my initial phone call were really needed and offered without hesitation. Dad was so lucky to have been placed here. From day one dad has continually been treated with respect and all his needs have been met every day with a smile - nothing is too much trouble. Months later, I am proud dad has had the opportunity to be with people who treat him like family. All staff have gone above and beyond to help dad, and have kept alive his mischievous sense of humour. The food is excellent and the activities are engaging and suitable for all to be involved in. The staff even managed to get my dad to dance with them and I thank every person there for their dedication to my dad and for being good people. Huge thank you.
We have found Ashton Court staff very caring to residents and take great care to look after everyone through these difficult covid times. We are always made to feel welcomed and nothing is too much trouble.
My husband has been at Ashton Court since June. He says the food is good and has a good relationship with the staff and carers and he is happy.
My father-in-law received impeccable care from all the staff at Ashton Court - from the cleaners, carers, cooks, and maintenance staff. He was on an end-of-life pathway when he went into the care of Ashton Court. All staff were very attentive and extremely experienced, not only to my father-in-law but to us as a family in crisis and grief. Ashton Court now care for my mother-in-law. She adores the staff who all do an absolute Stirling job. Thank you Ashton Court.
My father entered Ashton Court on November 18 after a year of another home. The team welcomed my dad with care and professionalism. The home is welcoming, the staff are so caring and very patient. The staff have told me more about dads condition in the last 3 months of his stay at Ashton Court, than ever the other places he had stayed at. I feel confident that they attend to dads needs. He is clean, tidy and well looked after. For this, I thank all the staff at Ashton Court.
Excellent staff who take time to reassure residents and consider their welfare. Their well-being is paramount to the staff. Food excellent with a good variety - residents helped if they have difficulty cutting up food etc.
My mother spent her last months at Ashton Court and we could not have asked for a more caring, sensitive and welcoming environment for our family. The staff quickly got to know my mother and always talked with knowledge and kindness whenever we visited or telephoned to ask for information. Although very busy, staff took time out to talk to my mother - day and night - and at all times treated her with respect. We are extremely grateful to all the staff. Thank you.
My sister has been a resident for over four years. I have never had any problem with the home. The staff are most caring in attending to the residents.
My mum was at Ashton Court for 5 months. The staff got to know her very quickly and always did their best to meet her care needs in ways suited to her. As this is a small care home there were many long-standing and regular staff which is always a good thing and enabled mum to feel secure and enabled us to get to know them. They were quick off the mark to call in professional medical help when indicated and involved and informed the family as appropriate. Mum's room was quite roomy and en-suite although there are no individual showers. The home isn't purpose built so the rooms are of variable size and quality and the corridors are quite narrow although mum didn't choose to mix much and chose not to use the resident's lounge which is bright and sunny. Staff are generally experienced and approachable and will do their very best to get what's needed. I am thankful that mum's last months were spent in a place where she was understood and well cared for. Thank you.
I have found my mother to be very happy and well looked after at Ashton Court. The care team are on the ball when any medical needs are called for e.g. GP or nurse visits and other agencies. My mother enjoys her meals and is well fed. Although the care home is in an old building it is very homely and clean.
All the staff are caring and attentive. My Grandma is very comfortable and safe in this home, after a traumatic experience at her previous home. We now feel at ease knowing her well being is the home's priority. Some of the staff go above and beyond their duties and treat the residents like their own family. Well done to all.
My mother was brought into Ashton Court following a protracted period during which she refused to eat, drink, dress and even would not get out of bed. The kind and patient care she has been given by the staff at Ashton Court has not only saved her but helped her to thrive. Their patience is endless and she has responded warmly to their care. I am very grateful to the staff at Ashton Court.
