View Full Details of Rotherwood Care HomeThank you to all the staff for the care and support that Rotherwood have given to me and my parents. I think you are an amazing team, creating a lovely homely atmosphere which is warm and friendly. I can't thank you enough for the way you look after my parents. I also love the varied activities you provide which Mum loves too. I do like to see the photos on social media, my mum is always smiling.
My mum went into Rotherwood Care Home for respite, but she has decided she is now staying for long-term as she loves it that much. She has said that the home is good; staff are amazing with her, the food is nice and she loves her bedroom. As a family we would recommend the home, as the staff and management have made a hard time for us become so easy with how helpful they have been for Mum and our family.
My friend has been here for respite twice, great staff and care, good quality meals friends and family are always welcome. My friend doesn’t have any family and I feel she is well looked after and in safe hands whilst she is here.
My Mum has been a resident of Rotherwood Care Home for 5 years. I cannot praise the manager and all her staff enough. My Mum is so well looked after and what is really important is how happy she tells us she is. The Staff keep us updated all the time which gives us such peace of mind as we live quite a distance away from Rotherham. Mum is unable to get out of bed but she is still included and the entertainment lady makes sure she does not miss out and we see evidence of that in Mums room. I would like to thank everyone who works there for taking such good care of Mum, Thank you.
My mother has been a resident of Rotherwood Care Home for the past year following spells in the hospital after falls and a diagnosis of dementia. My overall impression of the care she has received is very good. The staff are friendly and approachable. The activities coordinator is particularly to be commended as she has lots of different activities and tries to involve everyone to their respective abilities. It is unfortunate that Rotherwood doesn't have a garden for residents to use in the fine weather. Overall infections seem to be well controlled and the staff and visitors still have to wear masks whilst in the home in order to protect the residents.
The staff are fantastic. All staff go above and beyond to help my sister whenever she needs it. Nothing ever seems to be too much. The atmosphere is fantastic and all staff are very friendly and approachable. The home overall is comfortable, warm and homely for everyone who enters. I have recommended Rotherwood to some of my friends looking for a care home as it is great. No issues whatsoever from when my sister went into the home to now, she looks well, eats well, and is always in a happy mood.
My husband has been in Rotherwood for four months. He has made lots of friends and has good relationships with the staff. The home had a good atmosphere and seems organised. I cannot thank the staff enough for giving my husband a good quality of life. I am always able to speak with the seniors on shift or the manager with any questions I may have.
We have a family member in this care home and have seen a major improvement in recent months. The staff are friendly, polite and kind. The care home seems more organised and well-staffed with the new management in place. The care home is well structured and medicines are distributed well. She is a much happier resident than she was in previous years, the home is cleaner and tidier and she is very settled here.
Mum has been at Rotherwood Care Home for 6 months now and I have seen such a good change in her happiness. I live away and had visited mum in April - she has dementia. Carers were helping at her home 3 to 4 times a day but it was a constant struggle. She went to Rotherwood after a sudden decline and I cannot tell you the difference in her. She laughs and dances, gets on so well with the other residents. They have a lot of fun with daily activities. I recently visited mum for four weeks and stayed close by. Each day the staff met me with hugs and compassion. They get it and know what we are all going through. I found each staff member to be exceptional and special in their own loving way. Yes, this place is filled with love and staff that do go the extra mile with not a second thought. It is just the way they are. I cannot thank them enough for making this difficult time much easier and happier for all concerned. The food is excellent and plentiful with a cup of tea always ready.
My mother went into Rotherwood a few weeks ago for respite. Unfortunately, mum took a rapid decline whilst in and sadly passed away over last weekend. The care and support mum and us as her family got was second to none. It didn’t matter which team was on duty day or night they are excellent. We had to stay with mum overnight at the end and the care we and mum received was so good. Putting a loved one into a home is not an easy decision for a family and all we want is for our loved one to be cared for with respect and support given to the family. This home ticked that box without a doubt. I could name some of the staff that supported us but to be honest it would be unfair as they are a team which is obviously why it works. The home itself needs pounds spending on it and desperately updating but for us, it’s about the care which is what the staff deliver. I wouldn’t hesitate to put a loved one in this home and am grateful for the time they gave mum.
My mum was taken into Rotherwood initially for rehab and later as a client. I have observed nothing but exemplary care and consideration, respect and patience towards my mum. I can honestly say I never thought this level of care existed except from family members giving the care. The selection of meals is wide and well balanced and nutritional all very positive on all levels. I had my reservations at first leaving mum in Rotherwood but after witnessing the care mum has received I now feel happy and mum also is content living here which is paramount. Sincere thanks to all the caring staff for everything and making a smooth transition to mum's living circumstances.
My uncle was recently placed in the home for a stay over the Christmas period. The whole staff team were excellent and we could not have wished for a better home. My uncle enjoyed his stay and will return for respite.
My mum was placed in Rotherwood for 2 weeks. Emergency rehab bed by the fast response team due to falls she'd been having. From arriving at the home during the early hours of the morning the staff were welcoming, reassuring and caring. Throughout the two week stay at Rotherwood Residential Care Home all staff there were warm, friendly, patient, amazing people. The atmosphere within the care home is apparent on entering the front door, it's a relaxed, welcoming feel to the place. If my mum ever has the need for a care home again I will certainly be asking for her to be placed at Rotherwood Residential Care Home.
All information given when needed by staff. They are very helpful.
I have been visiting Rotherwood for five years visiting two relatives. I have always found the home to be very clean and the staff welcoming and friendly. The aunties always say that the food is very good.
