My mum came to live at Cotleigh in January 2025. She has settled in very well the home is lovely and welcoming. We are looking forward to all the activities they have to offer at the home. The bedrooms are lovely and the food is excellent staff are very caring and the office staff are very supportive with all the admission procedure and are always smiling.
My mum went into Cotleigh in August of this year. The carers and staff are absolutely amazing. The care that my mum gets has helped her settle in and give us as a family, peace of mind knowing my mum is been well cared for and is safe. The food is well presented and mum really enjoys the food. The activities are great and mum enjoys interacting with staff and they are so kind to her. As a family we cannot thank the staff enough for making my mum's life so much happier.
I can't thank the staff enough for the care they give to my mum, and support they give to us as family members. I never have to worry about my mum now as I know she is in good hands. Mum is visited regularly by myself at any time of the day, and whenever I drop in, she is always being looked after by lovely friendly and skilled members of staff who can't do enough for her. We love to attend the garden parties and tea parties, the staff really go out of their way to make everything perfect. The food is absolutely amazing, well done to all the kitchen staff.
Thank you so much to the management and staff at Cotleigh Care Home for making the transition into care for our dear mum so much easier than we had anticipated. First impressions are impeccably clean, warm, welcoming and homely. The wonderful staff are always friendly, smiling and attentive. We are always welcomed with a friendly smile and their attention to detail and person-centred care goes above and beyond; even down to letting mum 'sleep in' and have her favourite possessions allowed. Mum is treated with respect and compassion, which we truly appreciate. Thank you so much to the team.
Arrived at care home beginning of May and from day one, my step mum has been treated with care, respect and dignity. Staff take pride in their work and really care for the residents health and happiness. Communication from all staff has been excellent in keeping me informed about the welfare and progress of my step mum. Staff always very helpful, approachable and friendly. Great home with wonderful, caring staff.
I cannot express my gratitude enough for all of the wonderful staff who care for my mum. I know that mum is safe, happy and 100% looked after with love and care, fabulous food, activities, and numerous garden and tea parties. Moving into Cotleigh gave mum a new lease of life and we have made such wonderful and happy memories this past 18 months. I am so grateful to everyone who helps to make our days brighter. Cotleigh is a wonderful place with wonderful staff and I cannot thank you all enough.
I have been very pleased with Cotleigh. Mum, was has dementia, settled in quickly and the staff made a real effort to encourage her to eat. This worked and she started to eat again. Later, when she was losing weight again, she was seen promptly by the doctor and appropriate care was implemented. There is always a smile and welcome for visitors and I have been able to join in the music and movement activity with Mum on a Friday. Whenever she has felt up to going. I am kept informed of any issues either when I visit or by phone so feel confident that she is well looked after.
Residents cocktail party 12:30-15:30. Family and friends are able to join residents. What a fantastic day, residents sat outside, and all had sun hats and sun tan lotion available, several acts, and a good selection of age-appropriate songs. The stars of the day have to be the staff. All dressed up and participated in dancing with the residents. Fabulous food all homemade and drinks. The staff treats the residents with dignity, respect, and kindness. So utterly professional Cotleigh should be very proud of the care they give the residents.
Staff sat around on their phones and vaping! Same bland food. Decorations OTT, more for staff benefit. Some staff have a rude manner and don't have time to talk. Smells bad of urine in some areas - no excuse.
I’d like to say how fantastic your staff at Cotleigh are and have been during the care of my Nan, she lost her fight against dementia today and the staff have always been brilliant. Today was no exception they are a credit to your company every one of them, a special mention to one carer in particular who does nights that deserve all the thanks in the world, could you please pass this on to the managers and please make sure all the staff know how appreciated they are. Please tell them all thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Family room 12 downstairs.
My mum moved into Cotleigh in early December 2023 from another care home. The difference is unbelievable. My mum is so well cared for. Hygiene is inexplicable, she is fed so well with beautiful meals. Her room is bright, spacious, and spotless and she has her own bathroom. There are always events, parties, and activities going on. It is warm and friendly and the staff is amazing all in all five stars excellent!
It is a lovely home, very welcoming. All the staff are lovely and very helpful. My sister has settled in very well. She really feels at home and is very happy. She likes her own space at times, which they give her, but are always there when she needs them.
My mother-in-law has been in Cotleigh now for two years. Myself and the rest of the family have always been impressed by all aspects of her care. The staff have been marvellous with my mother-in-law and have always treated her with respect, especially when she recently had to go into hospital. Well done all at Cotleigh.
Dad has been in Cotleigh just over a year & from the very beginning when we were overwhelmed by what lay ahead, we were put at ease & felt completely confident that Dad was safe and well. From everyday care to all the activities & events, the staff really do go above & beyond to ensure the residents & their families enjoy special time together. Afternoon teas, Coronation, Halloween, remembrance days & other events throughout the year really do mean so much as they give the opportunity to see residents, family & staff join together to create special memories & see their loved ones enjoying themselves. The homemade buffets & selection of cakes are also an added bonus each time these events take place. The home is decorated according to the event, adding a homely feel when you enter. On a more practical level, whether it be doctor appointments, chiropody, opticians, or dentists, all this is handled and dealt with quickly and efficiently. This really is a caring home.
My father has been a resident for a year now and whilst he has advanced dementia and now very frail, the staff are doing a fantastic job of caring for him. This is a great comfort for me (I live 2 and a half hrs away) and my family nearby. The effort made getting him up and about, whether for his meals in the dining room or the various activities (that you see so many other residents enjoying) is magnificent. Whilst all the staff are absolutely super who care for Dad on a daily basis (too many to mention or make blush!). One outstanding lady is the events organiser and the chef and his team, who I only single out for personally making my (and Mum's) Christmas incredibly special by arranging (and personally serving!), a superb Christmas Day lunch - it was so special to spend the day with him with other residents and their relatives too (when sadly it may be his last Christmas). The food was fantastic! Thank you all for what you do in a very emotional and challenging environment.
My husband will have been in care nearly a year and been looked after with the best care possible for him they do everything to make him comfortable and safe and take him to many activities which is good for him. I also go to many of the activities they do for family to join in with there loved one's it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff are more like friends my eldest son. I had our Christmas dinner with my husband and other families which was really special to be able to spend it with him the food was amazing and a great atmosphere the staff made it special for us all.
Cotleigh is a well-run, friendly, efficient and very special home. The staff are incredibly lovely, always on hand when needed and always call me with information such as health issues or what my sisters will be at that day. They go to a lot of effort to make sure residents have a good life and organise and fund (by raising money too) trips, get togethers and events. My 2 sisters live here in different areas and have been different people since they have been here, with a great quality of life they did not have at home. They participate in regular activities and trips and have a thoroughly good life here. I cannot recommend Cotleigh enough, from the minute you walk in, it has a lovely feeling.
Me and my sister are so happy that our mum and aunty are in this care home. We have found it amazing and all the staff go above and beyond with kindness, they are all amazing at their job. They both have so much fun here (as we do when we visit too). The parties and activities are great. We are so thankful to each and every one of you, and can’t express our gratitude enough - knowing that they are both looked after so much and that they are happy.
What a wonderful time Christmas has been at Cotleigh. The staff have excelled themselves yet again to give all residents the best Christmas possible from the lovely decorations and parties around the building to the 'Alice In Wonderland' pantomime which was a great success with residents, family and friends alike. A wonderful touch was staff dressed as Father and Mother Christmas inviting young family members to meet Father Christmas. Residents who were not well enough to leave Cotleigh on Christmas Day were able to invite family to lunch with them and we were thoroughly spoilt with a 5-star Christmas lunch from their brilliant chef and served by a lovely, bubbly member of staff who couldn't do enough to make us all welcome. Thank you all so much from my brother and myself for the hard work and effort made by everyone.
Mum has now been at Cotleigh for 9 months and we have noticed a very positive change in her health and general demeanour. She gets looked after but retains a large element of her independence. The staff are superb and all go that extra mile to ensure that the residents are happy content and cared for. She takes part in many of their activities and is talking to staff and residents all day. We looked long and hard when trying to find somewhere suitable for Mum and couldn't be happier with the result. The staff are like friends - not only for Mum, but also to the family. Thank you so much to all involved.
