View Full Details of HousteadsExcellent staff, who are very helpful and caring. Very clean and well maintained. Communication excellent and management are on hand to help with all aspects of my wife’s care and requirements. Food and amenities are both excellent and a real home from home.
Mum had one week of respite - the first time she has been away from home! The staff were kind to her, easy to speak to and very upbeat. I have asked if Mum could be in the residential area if she is able to visit again for respite. I hope she has the opportunity to have her respite sessions at Housteads.
My very dear friend has been in Housteads since 2013, staff and managers have changed but the care has been there 100% with my friend. My friend is known by them all who work there and is treated with respect and love all the time even though she is challenging, almost as though they are one big family there. I can't praise them enough.
Houseteads is a lovely, well run home. They try and meet all my Mum's needs, I know it's hard at times. Mum seems really happy and I can rest knowing shes looked after. Wasn't easy to place Mum in a home and sometimes wonder if it wasn't for the care she receives where she would be now. So I thank you all for your hard work and will continue to support my Mum's needs.
The staff that look after my mum are always lovely when I go to visit. Mum always looks clean and is well looked after and they always tell me what activities mum has been doing. Mums mobility has improved since shes been in the care home and that is down to the staff doing exercises with her. Thanks to all the staff that care for mum its really appreciated.
Mum has been at Houseteads since 2019, can't raise the staff past and present for their care and dedication not just to Mum but every resident. Of course is was difficult through Covid but the pod visits were very welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend Housteads to anyone. Mum has dementia and is on Bluebell.
I contacted the home to ask if there was a room available for a visit. It was my Auntie's special birthday and there would be a few more visitors than usual. They arranged for us to use the dining room. They set up the table with the flowers and cards she had received and a balloon, there were plates and cutlery left for us to use and we were given tea and coffee. This just made it all the more special for her. All the staff came and wished her a happy birthday, and I saw first hand how the staff treated her with love and respect and I know why she is happy living here.
All staff are polite helpful and efficient. They do all they can to make the residents happy. The food is good and beds are comfy.
