View Full Details of Knowle HillAn excellent, well run nursing home. You would be hard pressed to find better staff anywhere else. All staff are polite, friendly, can't do enough for their residents and also the residents families I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone.
My mother has Alzheimer's and so has to stay on the top floor, staff are all very friendly. She absolutely loves the place. For me it's very easy to get to as I don't drive a twenty min walk. Also from what the staff have told me, she's putting on weight due to eating properly.
Staff brilliant, friendly, helpful, very approachable. Decor is a bit rundown and Mum's room is quite small but I'd rather rate it excellent because of the staff. Mum is well looked after.
All the staff I've encountered have been very pleasant, considerate and devoted to their jobs, and couldn't do enough for you and the resident I've left in their care. They kept you well informed about the resident, whether they had to request a doctor, nurse or hospital visit - you were always told.
My mum has been a resident at Knowle Hill since March. The staff have been nothing but excellent. My mum has settled with the staff becoming friends not just carers.
My mum has settled well after an initial period of respite care. She is well cared for, enjoys her meals and is comfortable. Personally, I found putting Mum into care a challenge and the staff have been reassuring and understanding. I know she is safe and cared for very well. I cannot thank them enough for their support for us both.
My relative was well cared for at Knowle Hill from December 2022 until she passed away in February 2024. She was happy there and made lots of friendships with the other residents and the care staff. She needed 24/7 care and support and this was very positive at Knowle Hill. She took part in many of the wonderful activities that were put on and enjoyed her birthday there in December - the care staff put on a lovely buffet and cake for some of her family. Sadly, she had pneumonia at Christmas and was in hospital for five days - so missed all the care home activities and Christmas celebrations. This put her back and sadly, by mid-February, her health situation deteriorated. The care staff were so kind while she was not well and as a family, we were always welcomed. The local hospice team came to the care home to see to her medication, so she was pain-free and comfortable in her final days - it was so very sad but the care staff were brilliant. Thank you.
Words cannot describe how good this home is. The love and support that all the staff have shown both my dad and myself during the last few days of his life means so much. Each and everyone of the carers treat the residents as family. I have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone.
Everyone connected with the care and wellbeing of my late wife was exemplary. That includes carers, admin, chef and kitchen staff and cleaners. Everyone played their part in looking after her, ensuring that she was safe and content.
We asked for a meeting to discuss Mum's dementia and the different stages. We were granted one within days. It was discussed and all questions were answered. We are very happy with Knowle Hill. The home is extremely clean and always smells fresh. The staff are brilliant and bend over backwards to help both residents and families. All you want is the best for your relative and that's what you get at Knowle Hill. Thank you.
My Nanna was a resident for just under two years, she had Alzheimer's and became unsafe at home which is why we chose to put her into a home. Knowle Hill has been absolutely fantastic since the day my Nanna went in, to the day she sadly passed away and even afterwards. The whole team are amazing, Nanna was always well looked after, dressed in clean clothes and her room was always spotless. We were well informed at all times about what was going on with Nanna and the quick action taken whenever she fell ill, the activities she did were always great and she loved the tea and biscuit trolley! The staff are truly brilliant and I would highly recommend Knowle Hill to anyone.
My mum was a resident for just over three months at Knowle Hill care home until she sadly passed away. She went into care due to her Alzheimers and mobility issues, and during her stay, the whole team was amazing, and the level of care she received was fabulous. Mum was well looked after, and her room was bright, warm and always tidy. The care home has a friendly and homely feeling. The carers were always helpful and would answer any questions I had regarding Mum. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.
My father has been in Knowle Hill now for over 4 years now and I cannot fault the home in any way, the staff are brilliant, I am always kept up to date with what is happening, I totally believe that if he had not gone to Knowle Hill, he would not be here now. The staff in care homes do not get the recognition that they deserve, they have been brilliant, before and during the covid crisis. It is with a sad heart that unfortunately, I am now at a stage where I will be having to move my dad due to the dementia now progressing that we are having to look for a new home with nursing care, I can only hope that where we end up next is anywhere as good as Knowle Hill!
Would firmly recommend this residential home. Mum moved in in July and was immediately welcomed by both staff and other residents. This helped her settle. Staff were lovely towards Mum and her care was good. Mum tended to be nocturnal and the night staff accompanied her often on her nightly corridor walks making her tea at 2 am. Our thanks go to all the carers on Mum's wing.
The staff at Knowle Hill are friendly and really care about my dad. He loves the ladies who look after him. He is always full of compliments for the attention he gets, and enjoys his food, with regular cuppas brought to him. I am contacted regularly and immediately when there is any concern about Dad's health, and they take action on the spot for GP needs or accidents. Top rate, caring home
My Mother-in-Law has been in Knowle Hill for four years. We are pleased with all aspects of the care she gets. The staff are excellent and keep us informed at all times, she gets regular visits from the local doctor. Since being in Knowle Hill, she has improved in her health and wellbeing; as she was on her own. As I say we are pleased with her care and we know she is safe.
