View Full Details of Midhurst Road Residential HomeAs a retired Vicar I have visited a great number of residential homes. Midhurst Road is without doubt one of the very best. Clean and welcoming providing high quality caring service to residents. My mother-in-law has been made to feel part of a loving and caring extended family.
I would like to say that since my mum moved into Midhurst Residential Care Home that the staff have gone above and beyond to help her settle in and made sure she feels safe and content in her new surroundings. The staff were amazing when she wasn't feeling very well and managed to get the doctor out and she got the medication she needed straight away and was feeling much better within a couple of days. The staff have all been very helpful and are willing to answer any queries and questions we had. The staff are hard-working and have made the home look beautiful with Christmas decorations. My mum has improved her mobility since she came to this home and she loves to chat to staff and other residents. We have nothing but praise for all the staff who care for my mum and to the rest of the staff who work there.
Lovely home, nice staff, food very good, very clean. Very sorry my mum can't stay.
Thank you so much for looking after my dad, he was very ill so was only in the home a fortnight before he died. The staff are very caring not only to Dad but to us too. Can't thank you enjoy for your help and compassion.
My 98-year-old Nan has lived here for many years now and they take such good care of her, it was her birthday a few days ago but I couldn’t see her due to not being well but the staff sent me a picture of her having a nice time at her tea party, even through Covid not being able to visit we knew she was in great hands, she always looks well cared for and well fed. I enjoy seeing the pictures of her joining in with the activities, all the care staff are amazing but one particular lady is a diamond! She used to work nights but it’s now in the laundry, she always checks on my Nan she’s great.
My mother has been a resident in Midhurst for the last 8 months. We feel as a family this home is amazing. The care staff go above and beyond to care for the clients. All the staff are friendly and we feel blessed to have found this home for my mum.
Mum moved into Midhurst 21 February, from the start the staff were so helpful and kind, allowing us to personalise her room with her own bits of furniture, the kitchen staff were so helpful, but Mum was a picky eater and if the menu wasn't to Mums liking they would cook her something that she did like. All the staff were kind and respectful towards Mum. Mum suffered from a few falls whilst in the care home, because she was stubborn and wouldn't wait or ask for help but the staff always got her back on her feet again and she was so very well looked after. When Mum suffered a broken shoulder the staff and management were so very kind, making sure Mum was still included and not left in her room on her own, and when Mum came to the end of her life they looked after myself and my hubby, making sure we ate and had drinks, I can't praise the staff enough and thank you just does not seem enough for the care we all received.
My mom was a permanent resident from March 2019 until the day she died. Words cannot explain how wonderful this care home is. The staff are absolutely amazing, treating the residents and their families with so much respect and compassion. From day on, my mum was completely settled and comfortable. The care she received was outstanding, I can't praise them enough. The day she died, the staff were as upset as her family was which is a testament to the care, love and support they give. Nothing was too much trouble. This care home deserves ten stars! My mum spent the last four and a half years of her life in the most wonderful place. As a family, we are so very grateful.
I have been in Midhurst Road Residential Home. I am aware that this is a review, not a complaints procedure, however as you have the option for rating very poor/poor, I feel it apt to elaborate. Meals - poor presentation and choice. Staff - some members are pleasant and helpful, others are discourteous and rude. I am disabled and can walk short distances, only with a walking frame. Other than meals, I do not see staff. Laundry - when it is returned, often it is clothing belonging to others even though labelled. I am a resident who pays for my care and feel strongly I am not getting value for money.
We can only give high praise to this care home. Right from the first enquiry, the staff were so helpful. We were put at ease from the beginning. My aunt was treated as an individual, and her needs both physical and emotional were supported. The staff group from domestic staff, carers and the management team were all respectful at all times. My auntie had just 11 months at Midhurst; she was happy and safe there. The home is so lovely and clean (no nasty smells). The environment is relaxed and inviting. The decor is homely and pleasant. The staff group go beyond their duties to care for and support the residents. We have been massively appreciative of all that they have done. The management should be proud of the staff group they have. 100% first class. Thank you.
I went to see my great-grandmother in August of 2022, and I can't thank the carers enough for taking such great care of her. I have only been about once or twice personally due to Covid, but during both visits, the staff have always been super welcoming and really nice.
My mum lived at Midhurst care home for approximately three and a half years. During her stay, she was treated with the utmost respect and compassion by all your dedicated and professional staff. Mum died on 10th June, nothing was too much trouble for your caring staff during her stay, from her first day until her later and last day. May I thank all concerned for her welfare and well-being. Yours faithfully.
I am a church minister who used to go into Midhurst way before Covid to do user friendly church services. These were always received well and encouraged. During Covid our visits have been sparce although we have kept links with the home and they have with us, keeping us well informed of the many activities that they do with all resident's. On our visits there is always a friendly, happy atmosphere and the residents treated with dignity and always a nice smell of food. The residents are always clean, well dressed and very happy. Joining in with the services and some of the staff joining us too. Mothering Sunday we, as a church delivered flowers and chocolates, and these were lovingly recieved by staff and residents. They activity team do keep them occupied in a lovely way.
All the staff have been incredible throughout this pandemic, as a family, we could not have wished for better care and communication. We, as a family, have felt our Mum has received an outstanding level of care and compassion. It has been a very difficult time for care homes, but we have had confidence in all the staff team. A massive thank you to you all.
