View Full Details of Woodleigh Rest Home LtdMy mom has dementia and I have been her full-time carer for years. Mom had a fall at home in the summer and it was no longer safe for Mom to live on her own. I did struggle with the idea of a Nursing home, I thought she may go downhill if she was in a home. I am incredibly happy I found the most wonderful home for Mom. I received long and detailed messages/phone calls explaining how Mom was settling in. Mom has settled into her new life perfectly. Any issues are always brought to my attention and we always resolve them together. The whole of the team are so caring, patient and love to laugh and enjoy the social aspect of the home environment. You can visit any time of the day, if you are looking for a placement, you will never be asked to call at a certain time. There are no lingering smells, in fact the home smells of clean fresh air. It would be safe to say, if you are looking for a place for your loved one, I would most definitely suggest Woodleigh.
My mother was a resident at Woodleigh for around two years until she unfortunately passed. The staff worked hard to care for my mother and always put her well-being first. The management and staff are more caring and helpful than in other homes I have visited, and they often went above and beyond to ensure all my mother's needs were met whenever possible. Overall an excellent environment and a well-run care home.
My husband seems to have settled well. I think the staff like him as I know he could be difficult with personal matters. I like all the staff they are caring, loving people to him and me. The manager is very approachable. The only thing is I wish he had a brighter room. His room is always clean and tidy but it's very dark on the nicest day. My husband enjoys his food, he eats everything.
Woodleigh has provided great care to my uncle throughout his stay. It was great to see good interaction with all the residents from the staff. We didn't need to book to arrange visits as some homes require visiting times. My uncle absolutely loved the food and was always well-kept. Staff always kept the family up to date with any activities, GP visits and health and well-being. Great staff great management and a lovely relaxing home.
The care given to my relative at Woodleigh is wonderful. The caring nature of all the staff is so much appreciated by the family. I know my uncle is safe and very well looked after 24/7. I know also that he has very much enjoyed the food on offer and there is plenty of variety. Woodleigh may not be the most modern of homes but the love and care for residents shines through and that is the most important thing.
Very caring environment, the staff are fully committed to the welfare of the residents. Their priority is the safeguarding and well-being of all the people in their care. This is not a state-of-the-art facility with all the bells and whistles and not a custom-built care home but the care and commitment from the staff is excellent. My family member has lived at Woodleigh for over two years now, enjoyed the meals and the friendliness of both staff and other residents and Woodleigh is now very much his home.
My mum was a resident at Woodleigh for two years until she sadly passed away last week. During her time there she settled in from day one, she was very happy because she was well cared for in every way. The staff are exceptional and treat all residents as though they are their own family. My mum was very close to all the staff and regarded them as family more than she did me. Birthdays and special occasions ie Christmas, Easter etc are always celebrated in a special way for the residents and they go the extra mile at these times. Nothing is ever too much trouble and residents families are made very welcome at all times. There is a good variety of foods and residents get choices each day. The place is always clean and well-maintained. I would gladly recommend Woodleigh to anyone looking for a down-to-earth and dedicated team of carers working in a clean, friendly and safe environment. The management strives to maintain top-quality care and surroundings at all times.
I have found Woodleigh to be a safe and pleasant environment. The staff are kind, considerate and helpful with the care of my relative as his condition has deteriorated. The meals are of a high standard.
We all want the best for a loved one when they have to be looked after in care. Woodleigh Care Home was chosen and as a family, it can not be faulted. Grateful thanks to the staff who look after our loved ones and work hard to ensure the residents are well looked after. The food is good too.
I find the staff at Woodleigh to be absolutely amazing, it means a lot to know one's Mummy is being looked after so well! The home itself is always clean, and always being improved, my mummy is very happy there, and adores all the staff, and thinks of it as her home, l can not thank the staff enough for looking after her so well.
