Sandholme Fold is a very friendly place to me. Staff are attentive. I have my own room and key. They make lovely home made cakes and the home has been decorated and new carpets.
I cannot praise the staff at Sandholme Fold enough. Due to their care and expertise, my mother had a smooth transition when moving and has been able to settle in better than I could have dreamed. There are always various activities and entertainment taking place and due to these and the excellent members of staff, my mother has improved in every way. The fact that I can see regular social media posts including my mother makes me very happy!
Mum was a resident at Sandholme Fold for the final 8 weeks of her life. Although her stay was short she was extremely happy and settled whilst living there. The staff were extremely caring and made us all as a family feel welcome. We were also well-supported following Mum's death. We are so happy we chose to be a part of the Sandholme family and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
I can honestly not praise this care home enough. The staff are all so approachable and lovely. Nothing is ever too much to ask. The manager is fantastic. The care given is exceptional. They go the extra mile for their residents. My grandad is so happy and content at Sandholme Fold. With a lovely friendly atmosphere, home-cooked meals and a comfortable room what else could he need? A big thank you to all the staff for the amazing work you do at Sandholme Fold.
My mother has been a resident at Sandholme Fold for over 2 years. She is well-settled and very happy. It gives me and the wider family much happiness that Mum is so well cared for. The whole team at Sandholme Fold from the manager to all the carers are so welcoming and friendly whenever we visit, and my mum responds so well to all of them. I really cannot stress enough how Sandholme Fold has changed all of our lives for the better.
Mum has settled very well in her first year at Sandholme Fold. The atmosphere is lovely and homely, in part due to the friendly, welcoming and caring staff who always have time for everyone, residents and visitors alike (including the family dog). Nothing is too much trouble. Mum is well cared for but is still quite independent enjoying spending time in the conservatory area and with other residents and her own cosy room, reading or watching TV. She takes part in some activities and trips out. She enjoys the food, particularly bacon and eggs for breakfast! In Mum's own words recently 'I don't think you could get better'. I am happy that Mum is doing well and receiving the care and supervision she needs in a safe and comfortable environment.
I moved into Sandholme Fold to make new friends and start enjoying life again. I can honestly say this is the best move to make. I have made new friends and continue to go out to my Church and shopping.
I have been a resident of Sandholme Fold for 2 years. The staff support me and the manager has been a godsend and helping me with my finances. The food is always good and any preferences are respected. I am happy and well cared for at Sandholme Fold.
After a recent visit to see our uncle, my brother and I wanted to write a review to say how unbelievably impressed we are with his care home. The team are so friendly and approachable, and are always keen to facilitate anything that is needed during our visit. The care home is spotlessly clean and the food looks fabulous. Our uncle is well cared for, happy and loves all the staff and where he lives. The management team are so supportive regarding their communication and give very clear and helpful guidance when advising on the social care process, which can be such a minefield. We feel so lucky that our uncle lives in such an incredible place, and we feel very well informed of his health and welfare which is so helpful as we live geographically a long distance away. We really enjoy receiving the regular newsletters to hear about the brilliant activities that are being offered. We couldn't be happier.
Mum moved to Sandholme Fold in mid-July. She arrived nervous and anxious but was greeted with warmth by everyone she met. She settled in more quickly than we had anticipated and was keen to introduce visitors to members of staff. Sadly, she suffered a setback in health in August which resulted in Mum being put on a palliative care regime. Mum is no longer able to enjoy being part of the community as at first, but we are grateful that the staff continue to give her individual care and kindness. She is in good hands. Thank you to all the staff.
A warm welcome by well-confirmed staff. Information on the resident as I was taken to her room and refreshments offered. All staff were friendly, residents appeared happy and well cared for. The home had a happy feel and the staff were on call as required. The resident's rooms and facilities appeared clean and well-staffed. Left in no doubt that the care is good.
The care my mother receives is excellent. I have seen a massive difference in my mum since coming into the home, the care staff and management keep me informed about everything which I really appreciate.
My elderly neighbour who we have been friends for many years has moved into Sandholme Fold following a fall in June. She was very reluctant but I can say the care from all staff, management, team leaders, caregivers, domestic, laundry, kitchen and maintenance has been phenomenal. Nothing is too much trouble at all and you are made to feel very welcome, refreshments are there, one of the first questions asked as you arrive. Excellent. Thank you all.
Sandholme Fold is a very caring home, also very clean, just had a refurbishment. The staff are very welcoming when I visit.
I feel Sandholme Fold is a very well-run and well-maintained care home. Mum has been here for 6 months and is looked after with kindness and respect by all staff. Her room is a good size and always kept clean. The laundry service works well and the food cooked on the premises always looks good. Mum enjoys the varied outside entertainers that come to visit. The management staff have been especially helpful with paperwork and are always approachable and keep me updated. I have always been made to feel welcome and would have no hesitation in recommending this home.
When you first visit Sandholme Fold you walk into a well cared for home, clean and modern. The staff are fantastic, friendly and genuinely care for the residents. I have the peace of mind to know that mum is safe, clean and extremely well cared for. The food is excellent and varied with lots of choices and treats. There is a lovely modern and light communal area where residents can interact and socialise with plenty of activities going on throughout the day. Ranging from visits from entertainers, singing, exercise classes, celebrations for special occasions. Visits from schools who come and interact with the residents and a religious service for anyone who wants to join in. There is a beautiful outside space for people to sit and enjoy the weather. A local hairdresser comes in each week. Mum suffers with Dementia, she has made friends and enjoys joining in with everything. She is very happy and content and is always smiling, this is very important to me.
The staff and management have been extremely helpful in ensuring my mother has as comfortable a time as possible in the home. Staff also recognise that my mother had a life before her time in the care home and that she is not just 'another resident'. Staff have also been very helpful in assisting the family to optimise my mother's stay.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the staff and facilities at Sandholme. Both the staff & management work hard, and whilst occasionally they can be distracted with day-to-day matters, they always make time for a chat and to update me on Mum's situation. Whilst the initial move into the home was problematic (outside the control of the care home) they assisted the process and provided support when required which was much appreciated. Food and activities are good though additional afternoon ones would be appreciated - the ad-hoc trips they organise are always well received. Thanks once again to the team for the support provided.
The staff are very helpful and there is always someone available to sort things out.
