View Full Details of Newlands HallMy mum has been in this care home for 16 months. We as a family are very pleased with her care, the attention she gets from the staff is brilliant. They are a very caring and lovely bunch of people. I hope she ends her days being looked after by lovely staff. The cleanliness is also very good. I have never walked into Newlands and smelt urine ever. It is a very clean care home.
Staff very friendly and when I call always know where my auntie is and staff recognise me now too. Always smiling, my aunt looks so much healthier here, I know it's only respite but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
I am really happy with the home and care for my mum. She's really happy and settled which makes me less stressed.
I have found Newlands Hall to have excellent staff, very caring, they will do anything in their power to help. The place is very clean. The food is always cooked fresh and very good. Residents are well-kept and dressed. I would recommend Newlands Hall to anyone.
Excellent facilities, very friendly staff. Residents seem in their element when there are activities on.
Mum was looked after at Newlands Hall Care Home for 8 years. Throughout all those years I have always felt she was lovingly cared for which put my mind at rest with the very upsetting and difficult situation of my mother needing more and more help after developing vascular dementia. As Mum approached end of life in January this year I couldn't have wished for a more caring, considerate and loving staff. They showed great sympathy and love to me and my family at this very difficult time. They did everything possible to care for her to the very end and I cannot thank them enough.
Friendly, caring and professional staff in a pleasant, well-run environment.
The home is very well run, always communicating with the family. Welcoming when family arrive. Overall the standard is excellent.
Newlands staff are lovely. Really impressed with how they are taking care of my mum. Nothing is too much trouble. Even though Mum is suffering badly with dementia and is challenging at times, staff always treat her with respect. I am more than happy with the care she receiving.
Very happy, can't fault anything. Would like to stay for good. Staff very good.
Pleasantly surprised at everything in the home. I had to (reluctantly) move into the home due to needing a facility that provided an environment where I could remain non-weight baring until my fracture healed. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
This is the 3rd home my dad has been in, but Newlands is the only home he has settled in. I am absolutely delighted with the care my dad is receiving. The care is second to none and the carers are wonderful and communicative. The care he receives makes me able to relax as I know my dad is fine and being looked after.
The only complaint I have is there is not enough staff! My husband stays in bed all day due to a shortage of staff. He needs someone with him all the time.
I have no complaints about how my mother is looked after, she is always dressed, clean and well looked after. The activities in the afternoon are very good, keeping her mind active.
My mother was a resident at Newlands Hall for twelve months. She was not the easiest resident to deal with suffering from a brain tumour/dementia. The staff have been excellent in their treatment and care of her and I have only the highest regard for them all. They were not just a comfort to my mother but to us also, cannot thank them enough.
From arriving to Newlands Hall was made welcome. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. All my needs were met. The treatment of other residents ensured that it was an inclusive care home. Would recommend to anyone.
I am very well looked after. Clean place. Caring staff. Food is lovely.
Very bad experiences. Lack of communication. Not always clean. Not suitable for Dementia Residents. Lack of care. Staff heard to shout at Residents causing them to be upset. Personal hygiene took a lot to be called for. On regular visits, I had to personally clean my relative. Between his toes, I had to scrape the dirt yet he was supposed to have been showered. He had poo on both hands and was told it was his dinner! For 6 weeks bushes were climbing to the top of his bedroom window so no view out and had to put a light on. No working TV, for months after the remote control disappeared. Overall not fit for purpose.
Management and staff are always ready to help and answer any concerns you may have.
Our Mam lived at Newlands Hall Care Home for just over a year. She settled in quickly and we were very pleased with the care she received. The exceptional care she received in the last few months before her death was outstanding. The love the staff showed her and the support given to us at this very sad and difficult time was exceptional.
