View Full Details of Acacia Court Care CentreMy close friend and I are new this month to Acacia Cout and what a wonderful welcome and first experience. The home has a warm and welcoming feel to it, is bright and spacious, clean and well equipped. The manager, administrator and activities staff are friendly caring and kind. The residents are free to move around the home with or without help and there are activities each day to keep them occupied plus trips out in the minibus. Health care issues have been dealt with swiftly. So far very pleased.
As always, really friendly staff. All my mams needs are taken care of. I couldn't ask for more.
The staff are unbelievable with their care and attention. Dad thinks he's in a 5-star hotel and loves the staff. 90% of the time loves the meals, although he struggles with eating meat. No bottom teeth due to erosion of lower gums) Needs help getting dressed, as he forgets to change them. Daily = This does seem to be occurring most times. We are surprised that he is participating in some activities as his daughters we cannot thank the staff (all staff) enough.
Excellent.
Our experience of bringing Mum into the care home was a very pleasant one, they made her very welcome, and put her at ease, as it was not an easy decision to make for Mum, but she needed it now with her dementia. I am fully happy, knowing she is getting looked after and the care she needs. I would highly recommend this home.
Had to move as last home had to close down. Since moving in everything is fine, food good and plenty.
I cannot speak highly enough of Acacia Court. I am badly in need of peace, quiet and comfort after a previous stay in hospital. The staff have been kind and understanding about my disabled state and nothing is too much for the help I need whilst trying to lead a normal life again, the food is exceptional, nothing is too much trouble at a time when I feel so tired and weak. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs help and care, good food and understanding.
I moved into Acacia Court in the year 2022 my overall expenses have been great my room is always tidy staff are there when I need them it's great having the GP come to the home weekly to see me it is a great place to live best move I ever made.
Residents are well looked after. Feel really homely, staff are very good. Would definitely recommend.
Leaving my daddy in a care home was a sad time for me, as it meant that I was no longer able to look after him as he deserved to be. I felt I had let him down in a way, but I think he is very happy where he is and now I can be his daughter again not his carer. Daddy's health is deteriorating and the staff and the GP have prepared me for what is to come, but not yet. My only bind is there are not enough male carers but the ones that are there are fantastic with my daddy. The staff are very good and inform me regarding any medical or problems that arise. I would give this care home 100% for care, quality and understanding. I am happy to leave my daddy in their care although I still feel sad when I leave him. Thanks to all the carers who do care, and for their dedication in doing what is not always the best job. Thanks.
Very happy with the improvements regarding the tidy-up of the front and the removal of the bed at the back. Wonderful, friendly staff that are always happy to go the extra mile.
Wonderful staff, all doing their best for the residents. Good program of activities. Monthly menus printed. The management and staff are very approachable and so their jobs with care and a smile. Days out are well organised and enjoyed. Any issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
The place is well run and the staff are competent and friendly. With the exception of breakfasts, the lunch and the evening meal are sometimes problematic. Overall I am happy here.
My dad has stayed at Acacia Court on various occasions over the past few years on respite. Dad always thoroughly enjoyed his stay. Recently, Dad became a permanent resident at Acacia due to a decline in his health and becoming much more dependent, especially with the sudden loss of his eyesight. Understandably, my dad has struggled and found this extremely difficult to come to terms with. The staff at Acacia Court have been really supportive towards my dad and his needs. Staff helped him settle in, and joined him in with all the activities, even though it’s been a struggle for him. This has given me and my family peace of mind, knowing he is well looked after, safe and secure. Acacia Court is a really lovely, clean and tidy home. It’s a relief to know my dad has finally settled. We really appreciate all the hard work the staff put in towards my dad’s care and can’t thank them enough. I would definitely highly recommend the Acacia Court residential home.
My dad was admitted to Acacia Court in February 23, and we have had only high praise for the care home. They are well looked after, and he is very happy there, that being so, we have just placed Mum there as a full-time resident. When she could not longer cope in her own home, there was only one place she wanted to go and we were fortunate to be offered a place there for her. Keep up the good work Acacia!
This care home is going down the pan! Yes it’s clean, yes the residents get fed and watered. As for actual “care” I would give it zero. The carers do their work! But care is lacking. Things have changed here immensely over the years and not for the better. Family are really considering moving our loved ones out of there. The words of my mum last week were “ nobody cares about me in here”. I’m inclined to agree with her!!
My mum celebrates her 96th birthday on 10th October. I asked if it was possible to have the piano room for a bit for a family get-together, and on Saturday 7th October, the staff at Acacia were brilliant. A lovely cake and afternoon tea were provided, and the room was trimmed up. We had a lovely afternoon. Nothing was too much trouble. This is typical of the staff at Acacia; they are fab.
Mum has lived at Acacia Court Care Centre for two years and has always been settled on content. More recently having an operation after a falling and a severe stroke Mum is receiving palliative care from a caring team. Many thanks for your kindness, compassion and support.
I think this is a first class care home. Staff are very good and helpful.
The staff at Acacia Court made Mum feel welcome immediately at what was a time of turmoil and poor health. Mum settled in very quickly thanks to the kindness of all the staff. All staff are thoughtful and considerate and this makes Mum feel safe and secure and loved.
